What a difference HeartLunger! Very motivating.
What does everyone do for cream cheese? The 1/3 fat and regular 8oz blocks have the same carb amount. I've been using the 1/3 fat but I'm under on calories often so I figure I might as well get the regular. I found a delicious recipe that cures a sweet tooth.
8oz cream cheese
Container of sugar free cool whip, or equivilent if you make your own
1 box of sugar free dry jello
Soften the cream cheese and whip to a creamy consistancy. Add a little water in a cup, add jello and stir. It helps mix in the jello to the mixture. Mix into cream cheese, then fold in whipped cream. A little goes a long way so if you can get 12 servings from it it's about 4 carbs. If you make your own whipped cream it might be less. I just keep it in a container in the fridge and take a few bites of it when the mood strikes. My favorite is the black cherry jello. Yum!0 -

My rule of thumb is when in doubt, eat more fat. IMO, ditch the 1/3 fat CC and go for the real deal.0 -
Hey all the WF came my way too!
145.6
another pound gone.
10.6 lbs to go and I so hope I can do that by Nov. 11th.
but every pound gone is gone forever either way.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I've been there I was having a SF type coffee creamer too and once I switched back to my heavy whipping cream I not only like it more cuz it's so creamy but I started losing. It will happen you'll see!0 -
Just finished reading the thread. I would love to join your group. I live the low carb life style. I can't wait to try all the new recipes!0

I'm excited to try new recipes as well
As far as the whipping cream goes, is that enough or does it need sweetener too?0 -

I usually use regular cream cheese. On my website below, I have a few recipes for low carb cheesecake and Oopsie rolls too that are awesome0 -
So I had decided to have some peanut butter for my evening snack...because I haven't been hitting my calories.
I go into the kitchen and carefully measure out the peanut butter.
I usually sprinkle a little splenda on top. Well, in my little splenda bowl I have some Flavor Blend packets mixed in with my regular packets. I decide on a whim to use one of the Mocha flavor ones. I mixed it into the peanut butter and I am not lying when I say it puts
a candy bar to shame. That was very very good!0 -
I've never heard of the flavor blend packets! Sounds amazing. Dittiepe I checked out your site, I definitely need to try some of your recipes! Oh, and I've been using splenda for years, I'm a big fan.0

I had a carton of whipping cream, should I be limiting my dairy/fat intake?0
-
Philadelphia cream cheese 33% less fat is less than one gram of carbs vs. 2 grams for the regular. I've been using that instead.0

You should stay away from dairy at first, but you can eventually add it back in. Heavy whipping cream is a great thing to add to eggs(scrambled, omelet), coffee, tea, and so much more It's tasty good!0 -

Hope you like 'em. And if you have any low carb recipes you'd like me to add, just let me know! (that goes for everyone! ) I'm trying to make it a complete site with lots and lots of recipes for people to search through. Eventually I'll update it into sections to make searching easier.0 -
My calorie count surpasses 3000-4000 and I noticed I gained 2 inches around the waist .... am I doing something wrong0

Does anyone know why you are not supposed to eat ricotta or cottage cheese during induction of Atkins?
I assume the nuts are bc you can so easily over do them.0 -

Wow, you're eating way too much. You should probably be hanging around 1500-1800.0 -
one more question, my fiber is really low.... what do you do for getting more fiber? I eat tons of salad, what are the higher fiber veggies that are low carb?
how are you getting more fiber!0 -
Yummy snack idea that I have been using myself the past week: I just experimented one day and fell in love...
2 TBSP Smuckers All Natural Peanut Butter (Creamy)
1 oz cream cheese
Put them in a microwavable bowl and microwave for 15 seconds. Stir them together. Spread on 2 stalks of celery...
SO good....and 5-6 NET carbs total.0 -
I'm baking the Oopsie Rolls as I type! I have never done stiff peaks before! I had to google it. I don't think I did them right because I felt like it had a lot of liquid. I folded the cream cheese/ egg yolk mixture. I couldn't put it on a cookie sheet because it was too runny so I stuck them in muffin tins. They look great so far. 4 minutes left to go and they look just like a dinner roll. Can't wait to try them (although I'm not hungry from the 3 MIMs muffins we tried already!)0

I actually take fiber pills daily to help boost mine. But I'll also usually eat an Atkins bar daily too, which is about 10g of fiber. So I kind of cheat0 -

I ordered a muffin top pan off of amazon and it works perfect for the oopsie rolls and also the flax buns off of linda's site. Either recipe makes an awesome hamburger.
I'm off to bed early gonna read awhile. 6th day back on induction and I feel fluish! yuck.
Have a great evening.

My Mission Carb Balance torillas have 10g fiber, so that's where I get most of mine! I get the rest from nuts and PB.
I am so bummed, I thought I got all the ingredients to make different variations of MiMs, but I got baking soda instead of baking powder. :grumble: I'll have to go back to the store tomorrow, I'm very excited to try them! I did get heavy whipping cream though, so I'm looking forward to coffee in the morning.0 -
Mission tortillas stalled me every time I use them. I buy La Tortilla from Kroger they don't. I am not eating them right now though because I'm doing a 14 day induction again to try to speed up weight loss before the wedding. But I usually keep them in the fridge for everything. I make pizzas and grill wraps.
I am getting some flax seed again today so I can have MIM"s for breakfast this week. It will help with fiber and calories and also if I buy some pumpkin to mix in I can count that as some veggie carbs.
I want to make a gumbo ...I love this weather...I of course don't eat the rice.
Have a blessed Sunday everyone.
I"m feeling better this morning and heading to church then have some housework to do and dinner at my Marine Son's house. yay so glad to have him home.

The Oopsie Rolls came out great considering I don't think I did them right. The muffin tins worked out great but I would spray them with some Pam or use muffin cups. I didn't and had to let it soak overnight. The 14 year old devoured 3 of them. She had a nice low carb meal for dinner! I made her the cocoa MIM this morning for breakfast. She loved it with her coffee. I'm trying to get all the refined crap out of my kids diet. It's funny how I don't eat that stuff and yet I serve them waffles and pancakes with syrup for breakfast. Sugar be gone!0
