I understand. The only reason I have hope, is because of my workouts, despite the bad eating. When mother nature hits me I want to eat everything in sight! This too shall pass.... We can do it!!!!!! :glasses:0

For an upper body workout - Do your lats and triceps first. Then do this -

Even though this was made for men/big arms, it will work for us too! Start with 3 lbs. and less reps each direction. Make sure your range of motion is large enough to feel it working. This will shorten your weight workout time and be effective for multiple muscles. Good luck!0 -
kcthatsme - I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well this week. I hope you feel better soon.
Pam - I always eat my exercise calories, but that's what works well for me. I'm very interested in increasing my strength and endurance, so I'm always trying to properly fuel my workouts. I find that I just simply don't have the energy if I'm eating at a large deficit (seeing as how MFP already calculates one in).
This week... well, it's been interesting. Two jobs plus school have been keeping me very busy, but I've been bike commuting as my main form of exercise. I'm also doing New Rules of Lifting for Women and I had this week off for strength training before continuing on to Stage 2, so I'll be starting Stage 2 tomorrow... eep! I've been very good about staying within my calorie goals for the week so far, but I have my birthday coming up on Monday and I'm going out to celebrate tonight... I plan to indulge and enjoy myself, but I'm also trying to do some extra exercise before I go. I want to have my cake and eat it too... without it being a complete disaster. :P

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Tomorrow is our last chance workout! My week was a bit wobbley to say the least, so I will be joyous if I just maintain this week, then have a nice loss in the coming week.

kristen, hope you feeling better soon......thank you everyone for all the input.....i guess it boils down to, keep changing it up, keep your body guessing,,, the same goes for exercise, doing different workouts keeps the body and muscles guessing....0

Well, so far so good!! I managed to lose about two pounds, making my current weight 121.2. That's the good news. The bad news is, my mom's coming to London this week, and she doesn't really recognize diets for the wonderful thing that they are. The result: going out to eat every night without looking up nutrition facts first. My way around it? Researching nutrition facts first, coming up with restaurants that adhere to my goals, and portioning things correctly So hopefully the coming week will be a loss as well!0 -

I am weighing in at 197.2, up again. I'm not surprised by this because I haven't been logging or exercising regularly. I am in a funk I can't seem to shake. I need motivation and inspiration. . . .and hoping I find it soon. I am really proud of all of you who continue to lose weight and get healthy.0

Wow.....I see quite a few of our Hubba Hubbas are reporting losses this week! Love it!
I think I lose weight only on the weekends, lol. I weigh myself twice a week - on Mondays for this challenge and on Thursdays because I started this diet on Thursday, 9/1. Every week so far, from Monday to Thursday the scale doesn't move much if at all. But from Thursday to Monday......down it goes. Don't see what I'm doing different on the weekends. Same exercise, same food choices. I'm not going to complain though....just another reason to look forward to weekends!
