Hi everyone...
This is a support group for losing those last stubborn 5-15lbs. I have ten more I'd like to lose, but have been stuck at a plateau. Let me know what your doing or post questions that we can help each other with to make it to our goal
For me...I really think after reading that I need to increase my calories. Im currently at 1300-1500, but am going to try for 1500-1800 and see if that helps. I will keep you all posted. I have read quite a bit about increasing calories, and have heard good things. I also am mixing up my workout. I am currently doing p90x plus and have 3 more weeks left. I also play basketball 1x a week and run/sprints 2-3 times a week.
What are you all doing? what are your goals and challenges? Lets do this together!!:-)

I have around 11-12 pounds left and I can't seem to lose at all! I'm frustrated, but like you, I think I need to increase my calorie intake.0
-
Ladies..thanks for responding..Let's take this next week, set a goal for ourselves and check in within the week to see how were doing. My goal for this week is to increase my calories by 200-300 calories, while maintaining my workouts and drinking a ton of water. Good luck and let me know how it goes!0
-
i need in on this. are we having any mini challenges?0
-
 Yeah mini challenges would be great ...what do you suggest?0

well i can only see amy and one other persons diary (dont look at mine, i made horrible choices all day and havent eaten like this in years) but i made a goal to try to burn 3000 calories this week. but i see you, amy, already do this also i am going to try Insanity for the first time tomorrow. i have been doing turbo fire for 2 months and CLX for 3 weeks. im going to do insanity for a week with clx to see if i burn more calories to get up to 3000.
as for mini challenge - i dont know. something fitness related? maybe 10-15 reps per day of your least favorite exercise - for me its burpees or pushups0 -
I'd like in on this as well. I'd like to reach 125 and am stuck. I keep fluctuating from 132 to 135 and can't even get to 130 which was my original goal. I'm going for 125 because maybe there I'll be rid of a little more belly fat. That's what's being stubborn!! :explode:
Goals for myself (Sun-Sat):
Burn a minimum of 2000 calories
Drink tons of water (@ least 10 cups/day)
Run 10 miles this week0 -
Hey I'd love to join you guys. I have about 10- 15lbs to go. I'm eating about 1200 cals at the moment because I have exams so haven't been able to get in much exercise.
My goal for the next few weeks (over my exam period) is to do tonning exercises 5 times a week and cardio at least once and drink at least eight glasses of water a day.0 -
Hey! Everyone's goals are so similar to mine! I have 10 to lose until I reach my goal. I want to maintain at 125. Saw 129 ONCE, but I can't stay below 135. I want to lose 1 lb a week steady. We can do this!0
-
like others have said, my goal is also 125! so it looks like we are all stuck at the same weight?0
-
I'm 124lbs at the moment so similar to you guys too0
-
Great idea with the mini-challenge..I will add into that core (which happens to be the area I need to work on most!)
Insanity is great, I've done it for 3-4 months and it is great..real calorie burner!! Good luck this next week and lets keep checking in!!0 -
 Great goals ladies...we can definitely do this..it might help to make your food diary public..if we want to support one another in the eating area (just a thought;). Everyone has written some great goals...Lets make this weeks challenge to ...
Drink a ton of water-add frozen berries or cucumbers..tastes yummy
Do extra of the exercises you like least aka for me it's core!
Make sure to get enough calories so that we aren't going into starvation mode
Mix it up..try 1-2 different work outs..
Also I would suggest that every Thursday morning before the weekend starts..maybe weighing in and posting our weight?
If anyone has questions for the group or has had something that worked for them (ie: recipes, workouts etc) Post em'!!:-)
We can so do this!!!!0 -

yes it scares me to do ..but for this week I am going to try to increase my intake 2-300 calories...will let you know how it goes..maybe try?!:)0 -
I'm so curious to see how the upping of calories works. I've been plateaued for about a week. As of this morning, I have 9 pounds to my initial goal (145 - first time healthy) and then I will re-evaluate. Guessing I will probably end up shooting for 135 - midpoint of healthy weight range for me.
I've lost 56 pounds altogether (started at weight watches, been on MFP for about 5 months), and never ate my exercise calories back. I've been losing so much slower and plateauing that I've finally decided to give it a try. Ate some more healthy calories back last night and I was down 1.8 this morning! I haven't had a jump like that in for-ever.
Can't wait to see if it works!0 -

i upped my calories from 1200 to 1350 in the summer and have notice a difference in a positive way. i also try to eat back my calories, not every day but sometimes.
i was really stuck at 140 for months then i started CLX and i think the weightlifting helped me lose the 4lbs so far this month.0 -
Good to know! What is CLX?0

Hi, I would like to join this group!
I weighed in yesterday at 145.5lbs the lowest I have seen so far on my MFP journey was 142lbs, but then I went on holiday to Florida.. (probably not the best place to go if you are on a diet...)
When I returned I jumped straight on the scales to find that i was 147lbs!! I hoped most of it was water weight because it seems impossible to put on 5lbs in 2 weeks! but here I am nearly 4 weeks later and ive only lost 2lbs of my holiday weight so far
My problem is saying no... i just cant say no when someone offers me a naughty treat... WHY?!!? Its so frustrating.. its literally like I have a demon inside me who takes over at the sight of fatty foods.. and once I have eaten it, the demon disappears and im left feeling miserable and guilty
My first mini goal is to reach 140lbs by the end of November... My ultimate weight is somewhere around 132lbs but Im just focusing on 140lbs at the moment.
Please anyone feel free to add me for support0 -

Welcome! I totally understand about the holiday weight gain..when I go on vacation I give myself a week before I step on the scale again...b/c it's dissapointing and frustrating. Dont worry it iwll come off, just hang in there.
I hear ya about say no as well. I think in this circumstance..what helps me is a variety of self talk/practice before these situations arise. At work there is ALWAYS sweets so what I do is.....
#1..I avoid the sweet table..b/c I know there is something there to tempt me..dont go near it.
#2..I allow myself to split or just have a bite...before I even have a bite I will "sabotage" the other half...throw it away.
#3 ask yourself do I really like this? Sometimes I eat sweets and I really dont even like them.
#4 if you do eat it remember this analogy "if you get a flat tire..do you pull over and fix it or slash the other 3 tires? its just like eating...if you fall off the track 1 time..dont get down just fix it(eat less that day or exercise) and move on!
Good luck and hang in there!!!!!0 -
I would love to join!
I'm between 133-135, my goal is 130 although if I could hit 125-128 I'd be ecstatic. I've been on a "weight plateau" for the last month and a half, my body is changing though and I am in the smallest size pants I've ever worn, but I can't shake the scale. I'd love to lose a few more pounds before if/when we try for baby #2.
I'm currently doing a killer body sculpt class 2x a week, The New rules of lifting for women 1x a week, and turbofire/extra cardio 2-3x a week.
Amys31 I've been thinking of increasing my calories as well. How has it been for you so far?
We CAN and WILL do this ladies!0 -

Chalean Extreme. It is a GREAT workout program. I have it and love it!0 -

I hit 125 last summer for my first time, and I just reached 124 this week. 125 had been my goal, and I was stuck for a year, unable to move past it for several reasons. One being I got sick and learned I need to now eat gluten free, once I finally accepted it I did better. I also was at 1200 a day per MFP, and had to increase to 1350 and that helped. I also had to start focusing more on muscle increase and less on cardio, adding also more protein. I have also learned that changing up my workout is a great thing too. These got my scale moving down consistently again. So now I am thinking i'm going to go for 120, I would love to hit a 50 pound loss, which just recently came to me as a possibility. That would put me at 119, I do not want to go any lower, my weight range starts at 107, 109 depending on the source.
I currently am doing a Full Body Challenge workout (Gunnar Peterson, kinda old stuff) And then Jillian Michaels Shred It with Weights. I love this workout, this is what got me moving past some stubborn fat, and I'm in better shape now than ever. I wanted to try level 2 a couple days ago, but getting into it I was overwhelmed, it was tough. so I gave up. I want to try again as this had been a bad week for me, so I definitely am not giving up for good. I also do Wii Zumba, and some dance workouts, since it's now Fall with wind and rain.0 -
Would love to join this group!
I've been doing this for pretty much dead on a year and have dropped 60 pounds from 202 to 142ish. I'm aiming for 130, and these last few pounds are taking SO. LONG. to come off! Pretty much for the first 6 months of my weightloss I was losing 2ish pounds a week, now I'm barely losing 1 pound, if that! It's so frustrating. Come on ladies, we can do this!0 -

That didn't make much sense, 125 was my original goal, I gained 5-7 pounds from WW new program, came here and I was stuck around 128 to 130 for most of the year. Then finally with the things I did below, I moved below, hit 125 again, andI hit 125 last summer for my first time, and I just reached 124 this week. 125 had been my goal, and I was stuck for a year, unable to move past it for several reasons.
