I am NOT a runner, and I haven't done a challenge yet so this should be interesting. But I am joining on November 5th, is that ok?

Yep! That's fine. You don't have to be a runner - just use the conversion chart if you don't know the actual mileage of whatever activity you're doing. The point is just to get moving!

I have met all my goals and calorie counts.....I just have to go back and convert my activities into miles and log it on the chart.

So, I didn't realize we were weighing in on Tuesday the 1st! I weighed in starting on Nov 4th (Friday)... I did weigh, I just didn't have time to log and go through and figure out my mileage. BUT, I just did it... hope it's ok that I added myself back! That was a lot of adding, multiplying, and dividing... too many different activities!!! LOL! I am NOT a math person! Heehee!

Well I am going great with the water and the miles. I am getting in a lot of miles without converting my aerobics, zumba or weight training. I am using the stationary bike, swimming lengths, and walking the dog for the miles. I am in trouble this week as it is only Monday and yesterday, I did not stay under my calories, so I guess I need to stay on track for the rest of the week. Wish me luck.

Well, I started my miles and I am up to 9.0 miles so far. I am still very weak and the doctor hasn't given me the okay to resume all activity. So I will keep on walking every other day for now till I feel better. I am doing great on the water challenge and eating under my calories, so hopefully I can lose at least 5 pounds for this month. Good job everyone !

Sorry I've been MIA this week, guys - work has been crazy in accounting land (always is at the beginning of a month) so I haven't been on here much.

For those of you looking for the mini-challenge...I posted it somewhere a few pages back, but it will always be posted at the top of the spreadsheet as well.

    Next week's nutritional mini-challenge:
    1. minimum 64oz. water/day
    2. 5 servings of veggies/day (remember - a salad can easily be multiple servings when you consider that 1 serving is 1 cup of lettuce)
    3. Be under on sodium 5 out of 7 days (hint: avoid anything that's in a can!)

I hope everyone is ready for tomorrow's weigh in! Best of luck to all!!

I'm an accountant too and it's been crazy busy! I've been feeling tired from doing all of my inventory & moving boxes all day so I haven't been logging in many miles. Now I'm up and ready to go!

Great challenges for the week! I will be consistent...I will be consistent...I will be consistent.....

Good luck everyone on the weigh-in!

2.2 lb loss this week!!! So excited, because it was actually up even more from my start weight at the beginning of the week. I only got in 17 miles, but I ran them. My knees were giving me fits this week, and I have a 5k tomorrow....didn't want to overwork them.

Have a great weekend everyone!! You are all doing so great!

What a great week. I got in 50 miles this week. I had one day where I was over in calories, but was way over in water everyday. I also did a lot of other workouts (Zumba, Strength circuits, water aerobics) on top of the bike, walking and swimming. I am happy to say that I am down 6 poiunds total for the month. Keep it up everyone. It is great to see how everyone is doing. Carla

  • I had a good week. Lost 1.6 pounds and got a lot of miles in doing the Slim in Six workouts plus a 5 mile run. I'm traveling from Sunday to Thursday, so this week will be a test. Jet lag has been a workout killer for me in the past. So my goal for the week is to maintain weight and make myself move. I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal weight.

    Keep it up everyone!
