I go to a local gym. Regular membership is $47 but I pay $22.50 and the company covers the rest. This gives me access to two very nice gyms, one with a pool, many classes, raquetball, and tennis courts.0

I pay 35 for me 20 for my husband and another 30 for a group training with a personal training. So a total of $85.0

We pay about $50 per month for a family membership - it's through the city so we have the use of 4 different gyms, 4 different pools, hot tub and sauna depending on the location, walking track, and 4 different skating rinks too. It's great for the whole family!0

Wow. You guys have a cheap membership. Mine is 112 a month. That is a sigle membership at 72, and two kids daycare for up to 2 hours a day.0

$58 a month for my husband and I. Includes all classes (Zumba) and is open 24/7.0

Yeah, same here. I would pay more in a month what folks here are paying in a year.
I run outside and workout at home.

I pay $33.39 a month (after the initial fee, which was like $65 or something, I forget). They give military/EMS/police (and their dependents) a 10% discount at my gym. I miss the gym I paid to go to in college, though. It was less than a 2 minute walk from my apartment door to the gym and it cost me about $275 for the year. It was a non-profit gym, though. With an indoor track and 2 studios.
My current gym is pretty small, but it's got everything you need, minus studio classes and a pool. I was going to on-post (military) gyms, but I live about 35 minutes away from the only military gym I have access to. It's way cheaper for me to go to the one I go to now, which is about 5 miles away. Oh, and it's open 24/7, which I LOVE!!!!!!0 -
$120 a month for both me and my husband, but he gets a deal through his work -- the rest of the folks pay like $100 a month (!!!) which seems way crazy to me!0
-
For the cardio room, weight room, and walking track it is about $50 for 6 months (military discount)
But I also live about 20 miles from the gym too, so even though I have a membership I rarely go.0 -
$95 for 3 months0

We have a winner ladies and gentleman. The 24 Hour Fitness I go to is all brand new and it comes out to $13.29/month.

I remember when Lifetime Fitness opened it's doors in Fairfax, VA. My mom was a membership sales person there. We enjoyed the perks of a cheap membership there. LOVED IT! But only if it were cheaper. Lifetime has a lot of great stuff, but I rarely used it all. Although, I do miss their bootcamp class... :devil:0 -
We pay about $65 a month for my family of 5 to go to the Y.....are Y has an outdoor track (anyone can use), indoor track, indoor pool, classes, workout place (ellipticals mostly with some treadmills and bikes plus a weight ROOM and some weight lifing machines, rock wall, and a kids place0
-
$19.47 after tax. No contract. Includes machines and classes.0

Can't beat having FREE access to the wonderful gyms we had at VT when I was a student. We had several nice gyms on campus!! Oh how I miss free gyms!!!0
-
I currently have a membership at Planet Fitness....it's 20 bucks a month...unlimited tanning *which I don't use*...Once my contract is up next month, I'm leaving and going to a different gym that is 30 a month with unlimited classes, pool, sauna, and abillity to travel to different locations. I also like that their cardio is completely seperate from the weight room...and they have an ab room and a women's lifting room..and it also has the tanning, actually.
What the OP said though for price sounds outrageous...those better be nice effin treadmills.0 -
We pay $125 a month, but my gym is massive and doubles as a swim club. There are 2 regulation sized competition pools, an indoor and outdoor waterpark for kids, a cafe, etc. It's really a LOT more than we need, but we keep the membership for summer. I could go to the YMCA for a hell of a lot cheaper but that outdoor waterpark provides us with summer entertainment. Plus, childcare and classes are all free.0
-
$6 for YMCA, but that is company susidized.0
-
29$ per month with a 35$ start-up fee for the YMCA for me. They have cheap memberships depending on your age and income. That includes a full gym, unlimited classes, an indoor pool, and a rock climbing wall (among other things). I should also add that this includes access to all 3 Y's in my area.0

-
