LADIES: GYM ATTIRE; OPINION POLL
Ok so hears the deal. I was wanting you girls opinion on something I've wondered for a long time. Most women don't wanna be gawked at in the gym or they act as if they dont. BUT WHY do you wear such revealing clothes. By all means I'm a fan, but when the girl shows up with her shorts rolled up and a sports bra on, you can't help but look!!!! Its like if you got it flaunt it (which at my gym they do) so don't act all shocked if every guy in the gym is checking you out when your doing your leg kicks/yoga stretches in the ab room!

You got a point.
I don't have it, don't flaunt it. I am one of those baggy workout pants and an oversized t shirt. They are getting bigger though, so I guess I'm getting smaller.0 -
If guys think you are good looking enough to look at you then you are lucky and take it as a compliment. That is, as long as the guys are not perverted about it or make comments. That is another matter entirely.0
-
Because they want the attention and then act like they don't want the attention because they don't want to come off as attention *kitten*.0
-
do you mean the girls who prance around the gym and not do anything? lol0
-
The girls who dress like that WANT to be looked at. which is why I don't wear anything like that0
-
There are a ton of women who enjoy the looks - most women love attention and there is nothing wrong with that0
-
I cover up at my current gym, but not at my old gym. There, they kept the heat up. Wearing a shirt made me over heat, so I wore a sports bra or two.0
-
They want to be salivated over.0
-
They want attention, but pretend they don't. They're also the girls that are afraid to sweat, right?0
-
Agreeing with the others. Girls that dress like that.. want the attention. And even if they say they don't.. it's like an achievement if they get it anyway. Aren't women so easy to understand?0

i kinda think i should be allowed to push the girls in coochie cutter shorts off of the treadmill. or at least go up to it and put it on, oh i don't know 9mph and watch them fly off of it  luckily i haven't encountered too many girls at my gym that wear pj's to work out in. you wanna wear tight yoga pants and a sports bra i'm fine with that but when i feel uncomfortable at the treadmill behind you because you have *kitten* cheek hanging out then there is a problem. just saying....0
-
yeah girls who do that want attention and are also probably manipulative and crazy....i would beware....normal girls pic comfort over conceit.0
-
I think it's so annoying when girls do that. I'm going to the gym to get a good workout in, not trying to look good.0
-
everybody looks at me crazy now because I quit the pony tail. Yes, it is hot and sweaty but pony tails give me roaring headaches!0
-
I agree with most of the other female posters. Even though they pretend they don't like it, they do. Otherwise why would you wear it? You can get the same effective workout with your body covered. If I looked like that I'd probably do the same. They've worked hard for their bodies I am sure and are proud. My issue comes when they act offended that men are looking. Give me a break.0

Haha there's a reason I go to a women only gym! There people tend to just wear baggy sweats etc... and people actually DO work out, not prance around the gym looking for male attention!0
-
do you mean the girls who prance around the gym and not do anything? lol
^^^^ this and the ones who do their hair and make up BEFOR their "work out"0 -
Most girls that dress like that are only there for the attention not to work out. it's the ones that don't that are looking to work out and don't wanna be gawked at.0
-
I wear either baggy shorts or baggy sweats and a hoodie, to make me sweat more... Revealing clothing while working out (or wearing makeup) is simply <moderator edited>.0

Those girls irritate the,you know what, outta me. LOL0 -

This. I wear yoga pants and an old teeshirt, get in, do my workout, and get out. Mind you I'm not much to look at anyway since I'm still fat :laugh:0 -
I can't wait to wear nothin' but a sports bra and yoga pants...because then I've achieved my "DAMN YOU'RE HOT" goal...I don't mind if you stare, but I'll going to look right back like "yeah you want this, but I can kick your *kitten*" glare lol I can't help it, i stare at women that dress like that, I wouldn't mind the looks of appreciation...just don't get creepy!0
-
I wear what I am comfortable in, as long as there is no comments or touching, they can look if they want. Not that anyone does gawk at an old broad like me, just saying in theory.0
-
AMEN! When I look hot, I damn well plan on wearing a sports bra and super short shorts to the gym 'cause dammit, I WORKED HARD for this body (in the future sense - still working hard for it).0
-
I do have to admit it's funny seeing chicks in full makeup at the gym, although I do put on a dash of Burberry - Weekend before I work out so i guess I'm complicit.0
-
meh if im working hard in a class or in the ladies gym where the weights are and i get too hot and sweaty i dont think twice about taking my vest top off and continuing my workout in my crop top like my profile pic. I dont wear tiny shorts with it though however haha just capris or joggers I dont do it for any attention, just simply too warm and need to cool down!0
-
unfortunately im also not one of those girls luckily to get gawked at lol but if i was i wouldnt mind, hopefully at the end of this diet journey i will be ha ha ha ha0

I don;t know, I'd be careful with that. I have a couple of girls at my gym, that wear sport bra and tight shorts but actually do work out hard core. So at the end of the day, I am not too bothered by them showing of what they have... they've worked for it. I find you often see if someone is serious when you have a look at their footwear ^^
We have those lovely all made up trying to be cute girls at the gym, hair curled, sitting on the machine and texting or looking bored... (I will not go into this any further), or the ones that are trying catwalk in oversized shirts falling off their shoulders and revealing lacy underwear (yupp totally sure they are serious about working out).
I am uncomfy in whatever I wear, as I think I look like the fat unfit blobb and to be honest, I am more irritated by people, who are trying to fit themselves into far too tight tops and trousers with the lovehandles and bingowings flapping out and about... but again, that's just me, I wouldn't do it...0 -
Personally I wear whatever the hell I want to the gym that I'm comfortable in to workout in and don't really give a damn about the other people's opinions. Of course, I'm sure you can tell from my photo that I'm not rocking it in itty bitty clothing but I'm also not wearing multiple layers just because I'm in a sports tank that happens to show cleavage (can't really be helped when you've got big boobs). I get freaking HOT in the gym and I'm not going to be dumb and compound that problem by adding on extra clothing. I tend to zone out everyone else in the gym and just pay attention to my workout. Get in, get out and go home.0

Not all women who wear shorts and a sports bra to pretend they don't want the attention.
A lot of women (I was one of those women before I stopped going to the gym) and I wore those clothes because I sweated like a pig and wearing more clothing was not an option.
Yes a lot wear the clothing for attention, but not everyone,.0
