I'm in! I am just starting my weight loss journey so I am going to try to burn 3500 this week, I hope I can do this!!!0

3500 goal for the week is typical for me and I am STILL NOT losing. Making goal 6000 for the week. I was close to that last week and pledged to a few that I would do 1000 cal./day for 6 days... I want to keep this going!0

I'm not new to MFP, but this challenge is new and just what I need this week. Count me in! For week #1: 3,500 is my goal.
I try to keep it real: I have a heart rate monitor and only log actual workouts (not daily chores, etc.)

Count me in!! I aim to do around 700 cals 4 times a week so i'll aim for 3000 as i loose 100cals a day through chosen diet.

Karmarie2: The Edit link is only available for about an hour after you post originally then it's there for life! :happy: On the exercise calories question, I personally eat about half of mine back each day and then once a week I have a splurge day where I go over and don't care. I actually track my calories on a weekly basis rather than daily and I've been losing pretty consistently since I started MFP.
To anyone who is under the 3,500 calories burned for the week - that's fine! You start where you start and work your way up! When I started exercising again I could barely do 3,000 a week and now I'm regularly over 5,000. This challenge is about setting any goal for yourself and trying your best to reach it. Welcome!0 -

Left to go: 4512Just a quick question... I know there are tons of posts about this question but personally do YOU eat back your exercise calories? Just wondering because you are all trying to burn SO many in a week. If you do eat them back, what is your reason to try to burn so many?
I eat mine, because I need to fuel my workouts. I'm steadily losing weight so I can't see why I should be eating any less. The reason why I'm trying to burn 5000 calories every week is because I like working out and it means I can eat more. :bigsmile:0 -
