I'm getting some walking in, but not having the ticker any longer makes it difficult to keep motivated. I'm not consistant with my walks like I used to. So I need to really get back in the grove.
I'm celebrating my Mom's 70th birthday tomorrow, So I may not walk tomorrow. :ohwell:

Hi I just joined My Fitness Pal again, needing to get back to regular exercising again. LS is a great start.
I know it's late January but I am commiting to 10 miles for the last few days of, if that is ok?
I am super excited and ready to get moving.

It worked... You go to tickerfactory. com, set up a account on the last page look for the "bbCode"
Copy and paste the "(img)- (img)" code only to each post you like. It's a bit more to do but worth for the extra motivation.0 -
:sad: Im done for the month at 41miles. Legs are really hurting, will rest up and do upperbody or something. Look forward to trying again next month.

806 minutes / 720 exercise minutes for January
Today I did 48 minutes on the treadmill-random terrain at the gym. Felt great! Didn't make time for strength training but Monday night I get to go to Aquajog and I'll get plenty of resistance training in then so not too worried.

To Cunnine---Well done! 41 miles is fantastic! When your body tells you to stop, you stop. If you push too far you might injure yourself and then you won't be able to move at all. Good job!

Well Aquajog later this evening so my last minutes for the month unless I get a workout in tomorrow eve too. I'll up my minutes for February due to surpassing my goal this month by quite a few minutes.

Just joining in. I have been walking an average of 12 miles a week and strength training at the local fitness center and recently started the MFP. Are there any suggestions on how to set realistic but challenging goals for weight loss? Not looking to be a size 2, just healthy0

861 / 720 minutes for January Exercise (surpassed goal by 141 minutes)
Aqua Jog class last night- increased my calorie burn by 20 calories from the last class. Easier to do so if I stay in a little bit more shallow water.

Teresa--It was because of all the huge, blinking, annoying tickers people were adding to their signature. I guess they were taking up too much space or something. Anyway, they did say they were working on their own but nothing has happened yet!
glittermouse--I've been trying to walk at least 2 miles a day and I also try to follow the walking schedule on the Walk Club calendar. Leslie's FB page will have a challenge starting on the 18th so I will do that as much as I can, too. My goals are just to walk and/or workout for at least 6 days a week. Thank you, Jenny. Most the time I'm all right but every now and then it hits me and I get sad and weepy. Having Isaac (he's 19 months old now!) around helps.

finished up the mth of jan walking five really big miles for 85 mins total for jan was 78 miles....my goal was 90 i didnt make my goal but i will continue to try. thanks for this challenge loved it. if it goes on in feb. i will do it again.0
