I have corsets on the back of my legs, daisy with both daughters name on my ankle, a tribal turtle with my son's name on my other ankle, red, white, and blue ribbon on my foot (when my dad did his 1st tour in Iraq), stars on my upper arm, devil on my back/shoulder, my husbands name with a tiger claw on my chest, Native American feathers with beads--through a set of wedding rings on my forearm, and "Life is ours we live it our way" on my chest..like a necklace ...Wish I knew how to upload pics!!0

no pics at the moment but i have a custom sketched tat of an owl on my left shoulder..it looks like it was done in pencil and very soft..representing wisdom and my favorite aunt who never got married, but loved life and never let a man tell her she couldn't do anything..she travelled the world as a musician for the GI's in Philippines and Korea..and when she died she gave her millions to make sure music wasn't taken out of schools..
The one i am waiting for will be done by my brother who is a very talented artist and went to Rhode Island School of Design, considered by most to be America's top art school.
It will be a painting of Nauset Lighthouse in Cape May, the last vacation we took with my Mom before Alzheimers began to take her from us..0 -
I have a few - cherry blossoms on my back, orchids on my right hip and a sea turtle on my left (favorite animal), but this is my fave - on my back shoulder.
That is SO beautiful, and all of your others sound amazing!! Do you have photos of the other ones to share?0 -
Not my only but def my favorite ( sorry this was taken right after it was done)
the red leaf is for my child who is my world and my devil lol
the leaves on the trees are the most important people in my life
and the leaves on the ground are my past and everything ive been thru
nice!!!! I really like the meaning of the tat0 -
I always swore i would not have any tattoos and then i reached a difficult stage in my life the fella i was with at the time had lots i had never been a fan. i found out he was cheating on me and had a miscarriage it got to me& i couldn't find a way out of the sadness. One day i found my self stood in the tatoo shop I decided to have a small butterfly on my right shoulder to always remember my child&the pain. It helped me move on.
That's so sad to hear but such a lovely way to remember. Genuinley brought a tear to my eye.
I never thought a tatoo would save me but it did it helps me remember when im sad and an active reminder of where i.have been. I can't see my self getting any more but who knows i never imagined i would have this one. Im loving the work on profile pic! I don't have the body for awesome work like that lol to be able to.show if off anyway
Never thought I'd have one either until I had 4 deaths in my family in 1 year. I was having a tough time dealing with the pain. I now have a memorial and the pain I went through is nothing compared to the chemo, pain, suffering, etc my family had to endure over those months. I'm planning on doing one on my foot next. I know it's painful, but it will be how I get to deal with all this pain. It will be my release...0 -
The two I'm willing to share, lol. The others are junk.

I have my ring finger with my husband's name on it.
A symbol on the back of my neck....means blessed.
A small butterfly my dad got me when I was 17.
On my right ankle a set of stuff for running. (Magic Kingdom for my first Goofy race, 2 stick people - running marathon Jan 2011 and a marathon Jan 2012, mickey balloons for half marathons I ran at Disney.)0 -
Still no clue on how can i post my pics but i got a TOOL tattoo on my wrist0
-
I have a butterfly on my right hip. I got it about three years ago and I want to get another one not sure what though.0
-
I have my husbands eyes, a portrait of my father, a flying dumbo (complete with Timothy the mouse in his hat and holding a feather), a tribal, a couple of flowers, a heart with swirl and hubbys name, heart ankle bracelet with my kids names in the hearts...and counting...0
-
I also got a butterfly inside my right hip bone, when I was sixteen... all the way back in 1976 before it was cool for girls to have tattoos. It is now underneath my stomach... hopefully when I lose the weight I won't have a flap and it will come out of hiding again. I should have known that obesity runs in my family but I told myself back then I would NEVER get fat. HA.
For those of you contemplating them, get them on a part of the body that will never droop too much, because even if you don't gain weight someday gravity is still a harsh mistress!0 -
This is the latest one that I got August 2011. I want at least 3 more. I have 2 others (well, I did have one removed, so now just one other). It says, "Semper Persevera" which is Latin for "Always Persevere." It is very personal to me....never give up...that is my mantra!

I have no idea how to post pics (sorry if there were directions previously, too many posts to read all of them!) but here are my tattoos
Dec 31, 2006 - Tribal butterfly on my lower back - freedom from a controlling ex
March 2009 - My son's name in pretty script on my left inner wrist
April 2011 - My daughter's name in the same script on my right inner wrist
When I hit my goal weight, my reward is a tattoo! I can't decide between the really feminine cross on the back of my neck or a custom on my foot that starts off as black and white music notes toward my heel/ankle and transforms into brightly colored butterflies on the top of my foot. I also want cherry blossoms with the words "...The best is yet to be." twisted in them.0 -
I have ankle tattoos. The Halloween ones date back to 2000 completed through 2001. I got the Hawaiian Islands because I was born and raised there in 2004, Got my amakua (Hawaiian family guardian animal) a shark above the islands in 2006 after my divorce.
Got my chest butterflies (a zombie and a demon) when I left NC and met my now husband.
I got my neck tattoo awhile ago, not sure why or when

How do I post pics? I know you have to change the IMG to img...but where do i find that??
I have a little turtle between my boobs, which I regret getting in that spot. Im afraid in 30 years, someone is going to say "Hey, Nice salamander tat!" because its sagged so much.
I also have a dream catcher on my shoulder blade with beads in the colour of my families birth stones.0 -

Very well done.0 -
Unfinished side piece. The eyes of Ra and Horus (each on each bicep), a Pagan design on the inside on my arm, a dragon and a viking skull. I can't wait to have enough money to do either one or two full sleeves.

Thank you :blushing:0 -
I have few pics at the moment but I have:
-"so it goes" tattooed on the back of my neck. It was my first
-two doves tattooed on my inner arms
(that's my daughter when she was 3 months old. She's almost two now!}
-I have a rubber duck tattooed on my right big toe. My friend has a matching rubber duck on her thumb, we both got it on spring break. He needs a touch up.
-I have a skull with a rose through the eye on my shoulder. It's..not intended to be morbid. It's a mascot for one of the squadrons my dad was in when he was in the air force. We always moved but every new home we had, my mom always kept her pens in this cup that had that image on it. It always stuck out to me, so I got it tattooed on my shoulder.
-I have some lyrics to "all you need is love" by the beatles tattooed on my left calf.
I'm intending on getting an upper arm piece done when I lose weight. I don't want to do it now because I don't know how it will look after, since I have 80lbs to lose and I'm hoping my upper arms shrink and tone up.0 -

Oh I know it. I can't wait until it looks like my birds (on my arms) are falling out of the sky.0
