Yeah, still going! Hopefully I can keep it up over the weekend. Going to the gym today and tomorrow, and I might have a cheat day tomorrow. Well is it really a cheat day if I go to the gym and then just end up eating back my lost calories? mmmm0 -

i hate using the + sign. i knew this was going to happen after my supper last night from fazoli's and domino's. oh well.
by the way, i will not be weighing in this weekend. i am going to be at a scrapbooking retreat with some friends and i am NOT taking my scale with me to the hotel. lol. we'll see how i did over the weekend when i weigh in on monday. wish me luck resisting all the snacks and cookies!0 -
Hi All! I weigh myself every day and sometimes at night. I have done this since high school. I am 35 years young, have a 10 year old daughter and an awesome husband of 14 years. I started weighing myself every day because I battled bulimia. I weighed daily out of obsession. This is a a part of my life that I have not shared with anyone until as of lately on MFP. Since January 1, 2012 I have NOT purged and have really made an effort to being accountable for my actions and my choices. I still weigh myself every day. I guess old habits die hard. )0

I went running/walking the past 2 days again and it is just what jump starts weight loss for me!0 -

I have a feeling that if I had a scale that didn't round up to pounds I'd have seen that yesterday the scale read 194.5... as my calorie deficit was not the 3500 calories needed to burn a pound. Not that time of the month, water and sodium intake the same... I will still take the "pound" loss and do the happy dance.0 -

Well, I didn't end up weighing myself this weekend and well when I go on the scale this morning, I wanted to scream:
Friday: 164.0
Today: 166.4 (+2.4lbs)
I did eat alot of bread yesterday, toast, tortillas, and Focaccia, do you think that could be the issue? I also went to the gym Friday and Saturday. had great workouts both days and eat by my calories, that was the whole point me me going to the gym those two days.

I'm surprised and not counting on this sticking as this means I lost 4lbs in 4 days. I didn't create the necessary calorie deficit (I track that) so not sure what this is about nor am I expecting it to last. I'm prepared for it to go up a pound or two in next couple of days or have a week where I don't lose anything at all.0 -

Went and bought a new scale yesterday since my old one was giving me such odd weight readings. So I am pretty sure that I didn't lose 4.4 pounds in one day. So hopefully from now one the weight will be more accurate. Either way happy that I have noticed my clothes are fitting better.0 -

it could be 'gut bloat' from all the grains and should disappear within a day or two.0 -

sometimes the weigh comes off without the work and sometimes you work and the weight doesn't come off. enjoy it!0 -

i honestly expected to see a higher number and it may be coming later this week. i forgot to pack my medicine (metformin for insulin resistance) for the weekend. doh! also had HUGE breakfasts, no lunch and large suppers on saturday and sunday. not great.
kicking off the day with a glass of milk and an apple with peanut butter and hopping on the treadmill for a 4 mile walk/run.0 -

I am a 32 year old mom of 2 great little boys
I am 5'2"
Starting Weight was about 182 on 1/16/12 and am down to 178.2 as of this morning
My heaviest weight was 206 pounds (I weighed 206 the day I found out I was pregnant with little boy #2 and I also weighed 206 pounds the day I gave birth... I lost over 20 pounds in the 6 weeks after birth)
My current goal weight is 15o, and ultimate goal weight would be around 130.
I weigh myself every day so I can keep a tighter track on what my body is doing and how what I eat during the day effects me. I am always at least 2-3 pounds lighter in the mornings (when I wake up) then I am in the evening (before I go to bed).
I do this too!!! But I know it doesn't mean anything if I weigh half a pound more at night than I do during the day!

Still a mystery to me how the scale dropped 4lbs in 4 days at this stage and in a weird way, glad it didn't today because I was starting to worry something was wrong! I did realize this morning that I'm 1/4 of the way to my goal though. I may actually pull off 60 pounds in 6 months!0 -
Daily weigh in is a great idea, I am definitely going to start! Especially with all you guys to keep me accountable.... I know that weight can fluctuate massively (especially for women... sigh...) but just the act of getting on the scales in the morning should be a good way to remind myself to stay focused for the day and not eat unnecessary snacks, etc.
I am 5'8 and in the summer of 2010 was pushing 160 lbs and felt miserable. I am small boned and just can't get away with carrying extra weight.
I am currently 145 and my goal is 140 NEARLY there..... just those last few stubborn lbs!0
