Years ago a buddy of mine and I went to the Toronto Indycar race.
As we are wandering around checking out the venue we hear ...

    "Hey boys, how are ya?"

From none other than Paul Newman.
We had a short chat about the race, his team.

The year after met Walter Payton at the same race.

    Wow, people i met...

Bands and Singers that i have met and hung out with for a bit: Evanescence, Panic at the Disco (5 times...with old members and the current members), the lead singer of The Plain White T's, The Cab, The Backstreet Boys, My Darkest Days, The Veronicas, Kris Allen, Hedley...and a few others.

Actors: I've really only met one that i really cared about and that was Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars! Unless you also include the TAPS team from Ghost Hunters...i hung out with Dave Tango, Steve Gonsalves, and Kris Williams. Oh and Gareth Malone who does the show 'The Choir' which is a Britain show and they brought it over to my hometown to try it out in the US and i was in it so i spent a week working with him!

Sports: I'm not sure when this list would end... Pretty much i have met a lot of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the whole Wilkes-Barre Penguins (Pittsburgh's baby team) for the past 3 or 4 years, of course it helped that i also worked for the Wilkes-barre penguins last year. I also met Mia Hamm and Brandi Chastain at the Women's World Cup game in 1999. I also got to hang out with some WWE Wrestlers for a few hours in 2008...i don't know any of there names though.

I could go on but it makes me feel like an *kitten*. Trust me, if you work anywhere in the music industry anywhere near L.A. famous people are just part of the job. It's like any other person; cool and kind of fun if they are nice or aggravating if they are snotty and entitled.

    It was fun sharing!

I'd like to hear the dish on the snotty entitled ones. lol

I've met Tim Gunn from Project Runway (I had the opportunity to work behind the scenes at a fashion show he did for one of the Marine Corps bases a few years ago).

Hung out with the members of 90's r&b/hip hop group H-Town (Knockin' Boots) while at a club right before they blew up big (for their minute of fame)

The Rock and Steve Austin after a match.

My brother knows Paul Wall, Willie D, and Dirt Nasty.

My mother-in-law went to school with Bruce Willis.

I've been with... Wait, that wasn't the question. Yes, I've met some famous people. Is this the name dropping to sound cool thread? I think my sister's first one is more interesting... One of the old Busch guys (I'm assuming Gussie Busch because of the time frame) asked my sister to ride in the carriage with the Budweiser Clydesdales in St. Louis when she was a kid. I was a little baby, so I guess I wasn't cool enough yet. Current people aren't as exciting. Anyone can be famous with all of these reality shows and youtube and stuff.

I used to work at Disney World so I met several celebs. I lost a bet because of one and I also met my favorite actor and didn't even recognize him.

I bet one of my roommates I could go 48 hours without finding out who won the Super Bowl. 24 hours....no problem. I always worked closing shifts but for some reason I ended up opening the tuesday after the game. I was minding my own business when the guest relations guy who I knew usually escorted celebs came through. I was curious who he had with him and to my dismay, I recognized one of the very muscular men that followed him. It was Eli Manning (it wasn't this year, it was 2008). Bet lost.

Another day I was at my ride when the guest relations guy came through with a small family. I chatted up the oldest looking man in the group as we waited for the ride vehicle to return to the station. We had a nice conversation and I joked with one of the younger ones in the group and arranged for them to have the back because I told them it was the best seat on the ride. I put them on and didn't see them again. A couple days later my manager asked to speak to me and told me I did an excellent job with that group and that Harrison Ford said he appreciated being treated like a regular person for once. I almost fainted. I talked to Indiana Jones himself and didn't even realize it. It is probably a good thing because if I had recognized him I would have at the least asked for an autograph and a picture and I'm pretty sure that would have gotten me fired.

I can't imagine being start struck with too many people but if I were to meet Harrison Ford I would have passed out. He is my ultimate celebrity crush an has been since I was a little girl.
