Why 8 glasses of water? Where does this figure come from and why is it the same for everyone, regardless of their size or level of activity. Can someone point me to the valid science that shows 8 glasses of water is a valid level of hydration for everyone.

What an inspiration. This is the best and most factual post written. One thing to add. It takes 9 months for a fat cell to die. I have recently joined MFP 9th Jan 2012 and I wish I knew about it last year.
  • Great post. Will re-read for those times when I lose motivation!

Great post. Why is it such a mystery for some? I guess common sense isn't all that common.

I saw a thing on Facebook that said, "Common Sense. So uncommon it should be a superpower." Or something like that...but you get the idea. =)

This is a great post. =) I've been doing well with calories, now I need to step up to the next level & add exercise *consistently*.

Thank you for your post, it is the BEST post i have ever seen on here, i wish i would have known about that on the first day of my MFP joining day. I was so confused and even getting heart burn due to daily stressfull situations and reading post all day , it was making me feel like a zombie.

it is like reading a Bible, you Have to Believe in the words to get ahead in life.

    KUDOS,for sharing once again

PS: no Preaching here, i am not a huge fan of churches but you need to believe anyhow.

Well said ..but still depressing to know it's going to take 30 weeks to lose 30 more pounds..LOL..I don't care how its put it sounds like an eternity! That is why I still look for small goals. Now I am at 158 my goal is now to see 155. Then 150 and so on. Otherwise I think I would give up and be to overwhelmed/depressed.
