I still most def need to fix my eating habits to make my scale move a bit faster though :frown:
Hey there, Caddy! I wanted to send a little love to my curvy sister out there! I'm 5'0.5" and started at 188 (my highest EVER) and have lost almost 10 pounds since starting. I am SO PROUD of you, Caddy, for already achieving nearly my goal weight! Yes, I know that 120 is better according to the BMI, but I have NEVER been that weight as an adult, and frankly, I've never been able to stick with something for over 30 pounds. My lowest weight as an adult (and I looked pretty darn good) was 135. My family is built WIDE, like football players with barrel chests. If I get down to 150, I will reevaluate with a physician for sure.
So hey there! Glad I'm not the only little one who started out where I did!0 -

I have been as low as 104lbs and felt weak and tired all the time. 110-120 is at my healthiest. I do cardio, Turbofire, circuit training and strength 6 days a week 40m to 1 hr burning between 250-350 cals (w/HRM) but still have been stuck for months, unable to get below 132lbs and haven't figured our how to break plateau =(0 -
I am 5 ft and weigh 110 lbs. I was at 137 lbs at my heaviest which was 8 months ago. My GW is 105-108 and I am nearly there so all I can say is to keep with it....exercise and portion control is a must!0

I was wondering what you all do for your calorie intake. I am currently doing 1200 calories and eating back workout calories burned but my scale isnt budging. I have been doing this for 6 weeks now and I have only lost 1 lb. I work out at least 4 times a week, mostly by running/walking and I have started the 30 day shred but I am not seeing the results I was expecting.
Do you ladies do more calories and workouts than this? What am I doing wrong?
I am wondering the same thing!0 -

I'm below 5' (4'9") and I NEVER reach my 1200 calories... I average between 800 to 900. Believe me, I try. But I'm on the 'eat as small as your fist every 2 hours' diet because of medical reasons.0

Maybe try eating back only half of your workout calories? When I eat them all back I don't seem to lose weight.0 -
I'm 5' and currently 117lbs...don't really want to lose much more...just get rid of the belly and tone.0

I'm 5'2" and until a year ago, weighed 130lbs and had an athletic build for over a decade. In the past year I have gained 50lbs as a side affect after taking medication to alleviate my back pain due to a major car accident. My diet hasn't changed at all since the accident and I have stopped taking the meds, but I'm having trouble losing weight...
It's even harder to lose weight while experiencing sharp back pain constantly throughout the day.. Workouts get the best of me sometimes. My doctors say I'm supposed to weigh about 115lbs due to my height. I personally think if I were 115lbs, I would look emaciated. So my plan is to lose weight and exercise to the point where I'm happy with how I look again and there's less stress on my back.
Regardless of a doctor-recommended weight based on your height, I believe everyone should be at a weight they're comfortable with and takes into considerations any health issues instead of striving for some arbitrary number.0 -
Eating 1200 calories and not losing weight:
I have 2 friends and my stepmom who really struggled with this. My friend and stepmom finally went to the Paleo diet and lost immediately. They have kept it moving off. It might be the foods that are keeping your metabolism slow.
Me, on the other hand, am doing great with calorie reduction (to 1200 cals) and almost no starchy carbs or sugar (low glycemic index fruits and foods). That is the trick for me - carbs.
