Jellyfish! It was like chewing on a piece of cartilage, but my Vietnamese friend swore it wasn't cooked right.

Salo. Imagine eat the pure uncooked fat from bacon in 1 inch pieces. Its a common food in eastern Europe (Ukraine and Russia). They think its very healthy for you. I ate it once to be polite and it was so disgusting.

To be honest I'm not even sure. For some of the restaurants in Japan I don't even want to see the English menu because I'm afraid if I know what it is I won't try it lol

This sounds a little weak, but tentacles.... They taste like nothing I ever tasted before. The texture just feels unnatural. Now I love Chinese and Japanese Restaurants, but pleeeeasssse! Keep the tentacles out of my sight. DX

    Vegemite... I hated it!

I should add, my husband is an Aussie and loves the stuff. Must be an acquired taste...

Alligator, shark, squid, buffalo, ostrich, moose, dog food, Cheeto covered in dirt, beef tongue. Weirder than all this was the slices of deep fried lemon that came with an order of calamari.

For the record, everything but the Cheeto and the dog food tasted great.
