How has your weight affected your "love" life?

So I don't know if I can post this, but I was just wondering, has anybody had less of a "love" life since gaining weight? Does that even really matter if you love the person? Same goes for if you have lost weight.

I have always had a weight issue and havent dated hardly at all..........one person, thats it..........and he actually had OCD, lived an hour away from me, lived at home, and didnt drive..........it became too hard for us to see each other and we ended things. Other than that, no such luck..........*sigh*. I want someone in my life.........do not NEED them, but would love to have someone like that in my life.0 -
I definitely, in more ways than not, have a lot more energy.0

definatly certain postitions have become uncomftable due to my belly getting in the way.lol. im hoping that once its gone we can get back to making babaies more regularly..lol:laugh:0

Yep as the weight increased my libido decreased, could pretty much chart it.
Positive side though is that having started to exercise again,it's on the up :happy:0 -
I dont wanna talk about it....lol

I think I've toned up pretty good after having my 3rd baby. My lovin has not changed-at all! My hubs lost 20 lbs and we are still the same-minimal action here:frown:0

being over weight, no confidence, shy = foreveralone.jpg:sad:0 -

THIS! Add to that the side effects of birth control and it's just no fun. I'm SOOO looking forward to the positive effects of exercise and weight loss in that department, for sure! RAWR!0 -

Minimal action? Man, but you look inCREDIBLE! If I were a guy, just sayin'! Great work girl!0 -
I lost confidence as I gained, and that affected my libido. I think if I had known my ex would have been happy with me even with a bit more weight then I'd say it wouldn't have been a problem... but he wasn't okay with it, and I never even got higher than a healthy BMI, so I think I was just taking my ex's issues on as my own. Independent of him, I am fairly certain I would have been fine.0

You know what? I have no idea HOW but I've never been short of admirers. Even being 20 kilos overweight, I get plenty of action LOL... I must have super awesome kickass personality or something cos it sure as hell ain't my hot body    :laugh:0

I do get a little embarrassed when disrobing, but I seem to pick the kind of guys that don't care about that.0

Yes, being about 80 lbs overweight has affected it quite a bit. Much less frequency since I am uncomfortable with certain positions. It's gradually getting better. Libido is also lower I think being overweight.0

The good thing is that a 'nice man' sees the WHOLE us - not just the bits we think are ugly. My boyfriend prefers my BODY now - 7lbs heavier than when he first met me (I preferred my body then!) However I am still the same person no matter what the outside bit is and it's THAT he truly loves... And its the same me/him. :-)0

And that's awesome and I'm happy to hear that your man is awesome. BUT, and this will differ person to person, I know that I don't exude the same confidence now, 45 pounds heavier than I'd like to be and 30 pounds heavier than when I met my boyfriend 4 years ago, so I think that is a factor. Confidence is sexy, but if you aren't feel confident, you may not exude the same sex appeal that you did at a lighter weight.0 -

Ohh I hear ya there0 -
I met my boyfriend on this website actually But was single for 5 years before.0

My weight has never effect it - libido etc always has been high. It has however massively effected SOH and their confidence, so much so that it has ruined relationships.0

I've met my guy on here!!!0

Agreed0 -
when i was super skinny (anorexic) my boyfriend was scared to touch me because he was scared he'd break me. however now i have a bit of meat on my bones its wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy good0

I had less fun and felt more self conscious when I was bigger. So less libido, less lovin, angry boyfriend. Haha. Now that I work out more, am in better shape and love my body, it's much more fun!0

Love this!0 -
When I was single and thin, I had to fight them off... Even if I had a boyfriend
When I was single and heavy, I didn't have to fight them off, but I was always able to find some action/boyfriends
Now that I am married, I get plenty of action... I just wish I could be more flexible0 -
Well, My fiance only wanted to date me for my looks in the first place(he didnt know me at all, before we dated. he'd always look at me in the school hallways though..). Then as we got to know eachother, his thoughts were not on looks anymore. I was 110-115 pounds (i also had anorexia/bulimia) when we first dated. Then after a year, in december, I gained 20 pounds, because he's an AMAZING cook & i couldnt stop eating his food xD I was the reason why he started to look at porn, which meant alot to me back then, it still hurts, but I really dont care anymore since we're having a baby, the baby means more to me than his foolishness in the past. He also told me I was overweight...at 110 pounds and 5'3...thats almost underweight according to the bmi charts..lol. But whatever. A little bit after that, like 3 months later, I lost those 20 pounds and he was all over me like a pig :P And now since Im pregnant, Ive gained 50 pounds, it seems like he's not interested in sexual things anymore..He still shows me he loves me though, and that's all that matters!!
But eh, I love him & i know he still loves me, so, it really doesnt bother me too too much.0 -
The weight is almost gone, I feel sexier than ever and my husband definitely comments alot more about how good I look and sex is so much more fun.0

Def. Agree. I am not ashamed of my body and want to be seen..touched and that makes a world of difference in the bedroom.0 -
Being lighter makes so many things so much easier. It also makes it easier to discriminate who I'd want to date and who I wouldn't because I like certain things and if it doesn't look like she could do them without getting out of breath just walking up the stairs to my apartment, things aren't going to last long.0
-
It never really affected my love life, my husband loved me just has much when I was overweight...but since I lost my weight I feel more sexy and confident and it makes things alot more fun for myself and my husband...he might not say anything but I know he enjoys it more now0
-
Utter libido death, which is very upsetting for both of us as we had a *very* healthy love life before I started feeling bad about myself.0
