    Didn't do as well as I had anticipated. I've been doing a lot of stress eating. Been very stressful with a new job offer that I have taken in a new city. Extremely nervous about giving my 2 weeks notice today. Nervous and excited about moving up in my career and moving to a big city (Winnipeg).

    I have been slacking lately pretty bad so I am readjusting my goals to lose 2 lbs. per week and going to count calories again. There really is no other way I can accomplish this.

    Sometimes I feel discouraged because of the small amounts of weight I'm losing, but then I think of the total and think Wow! I have been on the heavy side all my life (partly medical, partly just no discipline), became overweight in college, and obese in my twenties, and morbidly obese in my thirties. Since it took so long to put it on, I keep telling myself to be patient, let it come off in small amounts over time. But it is still hard to be patient!

    This challenge has been fantastic! Thank you, Kristen! I had been bouncing between 155-150 for about 6 months and have finally broken through to the 140s. I haven't seen them my entire adult life. One change we're doing as a family is leaving the car at home for little errands and going by bike instead. It's been really fun and a great way to sneak in exercise. If anyone is curious, I'm documenting our lifestyle change here: www.tinyhelmetsbigbikes.com.     No excuses - +7.8lbs this week - just crappy eating and only 1 workout since my 1/2 marathon...i will be pushing myself very hard this week to stay the course and get my workouts and my good eating in....please stay on me on my thread/wall if we are friends...i suspect that at least 5 of those will be gone before the next weigh in as i retain water from sodium like a *kitten*....LOL...here's to 175ish for next week...i can still make 169 by 4/7, i just have to work harder for it...silly me :)
