My mom always said to me as a kid that I am "big boned" which in turn I just took to " I was fat." Now I actually understand what she meant... and at 5foot6.5inch I am comfortable at 150-155lbs. Even though at 156lbs (according to my BMI) says I'm overweight or just on the boarder. I remember being that size 5plus years ago and felt incredbly confident. Thats what i'm going for, confident, not 'skinny'!! FYI-currently at 176lbs!0

I feel okay at 126, but I always feel amazing at 120! I'd love to stay there rather than yo-yo up and down between 120-125 for the past year or so. Just joined, and I'm feeling super motivated! MFP is amazing.0 -
I'm 5'6. I started at 275, currently at 210.4. Right now my main goal is to get under 200. I have my weight loss goal set at 185, I don't know what is like to be under 200 so 185 seemed just far away from it as I could handle right now. The closer I get to my goal weight, the better understanding I will have of what weight will look good on me. : )0

I'm going for 135, not certain this is realistic. 135 was the weight I was at when I was around 22 or so, 15 years ago. Ironically at the time I was unhappy at that weight, and longed to be 125. But I think 125 is too skinny for me, perhaps.
After steadily gaining weight year after year and having a child, I have ballooned to 207. Seeing the scale at the doctor's office pass 200 was the motivation I needed to start MFP. Today marks 1 week!!0 -
I'm 5'6 and I weigh 131.6 lbs as of this morning. Down from 147. My GW is 130. I just posted a thread with a bunch of pics so you can see what 132 lbs looks like on a 5'6 pear shaped girl (I carry my weight is my hips/butt)

I am 5'7". I just weighed in at 140 (31 lbs loss in total) I am medium build and wear a size 2-4. I do cross-fit so I am pretty muscular. I am happy with this weight, but I am going on vacation for 10 days so I'd like to drop 5 more as a "buffer".0

I am 5' 6" and the day i graduated highschool i was 130lbs, looking back now i think it was a little skinny for my frame but i got up to 186 and am at 177 now, goal for now is 150 lbs but i think i would like to be in the 140's!0

I think a lot has to do with your frame and how comfortable you are with yourself. I have a smaller frame and am down to 135 which is great, but I need more muscle tone. For me I think anywhere between 125-135 is a good weight. After I went through military boot camp at age 23, I was at 123 and felt great.
But if you have a larger frame that may not be an appropriate weight.0 -
I'm 5'5 and currently weigh 151 lbs.
I've come to realize weight doesn't matter...
but I'd like to get down to 140 lbs.
What does matter is Body % Fat.
I'm @ 30 % & want to get down to 20%0 -
Im currently 193 i wear 14/16 --- have quite a bit of tummy. :-) i look really good at 165. I went to 155 before and it was not a good look for me. I did cardio and strength training at that time and started back again.0

112 is the lowest i can be , 115 would be ideal for me
the girls on here saying 100, 95, 108 be careful. i had anorexia and while you might "think" that low weight looks good it doesnt &
you really harm your body.
ive got 5 pounds to gain, but i know its for a good cause.0 -
I've got down to 140lbs but its too low for me so I am on my way back up - prob about 147 would suit me best.0

At this stage in the game...anything under 200 is a hell of a start! Ultimately, 145...my pre-kids weight. I can't blame pregnancy or baby gain, as my sons are 8 and 11 lol0

Taryn, I sympathize. I've had trouble keeping weight on my whole life. And it's often hard to find anyone who understands that gaining weight can be just as hard as losing it. This is the first time I've ever had to go in the other direction.
I remember telling people I was fine at 100, but looking back at those pictures makes me cringe. I looked terrible.0 -

its definitely hard. and back then i never saw it as a problem, sad that now can see how unhealthy i looked but yet remember at that time thinking "oh i look good" it was something i always tried to ignore, but you cant. so now im just taking it one day at a time. but i think its a huge wake up call && im only so open about it because i hate seeing people struggle with it as well or wanting to be like that.0 -
I'm barely under 5'6. I got down to 135 a few years back and felt great. That's also my Jr. High weight. I got up to 182 this Winter and am down to 160 now. I'd like to be at 130-135, that's my goal!0

I'm currently 181.6lbs and want to get down to 134lbs0

My overall goal is 132lbs, although I'll have to see how I feel when I get there because I've been 128lbs previously (although I was younger) and I looked skinny but not skeletal, so that could be a good weight for me. I might just decide to tone up and not worry about weight when I hit 132 though.0 -
I'm 6'5''. I started out with 72 kg (158 lbs), currenly I'm 66kg (145 lbs). My goal weight is around 60kg (about 130, 135 lbs).0

My ideal body type and weight exactlyI always feel like the odd one out on posts like this...my goal is 160(or in the 160s..) I'm currently at 169(down from 235!)
I have a larger frame, and I just don't see the need for myself to reach anything lower...I want to live, and enjoy eating still!
I am almost 5'5" and my goal is in the 160.s..... Feeling like I want to be much bigger than the other people here.
My ideal body type is something like Kim Kardashian, Beyonce or Jennifer Hudson with more definition in my arms and legs (I have tendencies to gain muscle, especially in my arms and legs, so I might as well deal with it instead of hoping for skinny thighs or whatever.)

i'm pretty happy at 160, but 150 is my ugw. i've heard that i look as small as 120, i carry my weight VERY proportionatly. im lucky.0

I'm shooting for 140 and making steady progress. Not sure if it's possible with my frame. I may adjust to 150.0
-
I'm 5'6, starting weight 198, current weight 178, and goal weight 150. After that I'll see if I need to lose more.0
