    o poo. i posted to last week instead. Here are my numbers this week in the CORRECT thread:

    Start Date July 15 Starting weight 192 (goal = 169) (23 pounds)
    Week 1 July 22 CW = 189.8 / Loss - 2.2 / total loss = -2.2
    Week 2 July 29 CW = 189.8 / Loss = BIG FAT ZERO (TOM) / total loss = -2.2

    Week 3 August 5 - on vacation
    Week 4 August 12 – on vacation
    Week 5 August 19 - CW = 190.4 / Gain of 0.6 / Total loss = 1.6
    Week 6 August 26 - CW=190.4 / no change, but no gain, either! / Total loss = -1.6

    Week 7 September 2 Labor Day is Monday - CW=189.6 / loss of -0.8 / Total loss = -2.4

    I will take that stinkin' 0.8 loss because this is the first time that the scale has moved in the right direction in a while! So easy to put it on and sooooooo hard to take it off again! Hope everyone is doing better than I am!:blushing: Was wishing I was farther along than I am seeing as I started 8 weeks ago *sigh*

    Week 6 August 26 185...up one back to where I started and getting a bit frustrated here. I need to make
    sure to log everything. I was really hoping to be out of the 180's by now!

    Keep up the good work. I bumped up the exercise a bit and started some jogging. I was so sore this morning I did not go for my morning walk but hope to get out for a walk later.

    Do you have a non-food way to reward yourself as you are losing weight? It is important to reward yourself for a job well done.

    manicure/pedicure for small goals, and for a BIG loss, I get a facial - my favorite thing EVER!!!

    I thought the same thing. Cindysunshine you are doing awesome. You lost 6 pounds in one week...thats like a good week for some of the people at Biggest Loser and you are doing it on your own.

    Hi All,

    I can't figure out why but the scale seems to stay pretty much the same during the week and then over the weekend I have big drop (not that I am really complaining). I do have a desk job during the week and am much more active on the weekend but it just seems a little odd.

    Anyway, I went to FanExpo this weekend as I mentioned previously and ran my butt off trying to get from place to place and line to line and doing shopping too. There was 59,000 people there this weekend which is a 9,000 jump over last year. I am so glad I went two hours early each day and was within the first 50 people to get in each day. I have some awesome pictures of me and Bruce Campbel, Linda Hamilton, Emma Caulfield, Billy Dee Williams, Avery Brooks, and James Kyson Lee that I will post once I figure out how.

    Anyone know how to add pictures to the posts?

    Anyway, I hope you are all doing well and from the posts it seems like everyone is working hard. Keep at it and have faith in yourself that you deserve to be where you want to be and to reach your goals.

    So I had a yogurt and oatmeal this morning :smile: Good Start.

    I am also starting to drink water too. Small changes for now.

    I use the low-sugar store-brand kind and skim milk - bring it in my lunchbox.
    Now, I work in a dental hygiene school, where I run the steam autoclaves fir sterilizing the equipment and I pop the bowl in while I have them heI ing up for the day and.....VIOLA! Yummy hot oatmeal :laugh:

    Started new hours at work today 7-4 so I had a bowl of cereal at my desk at 7am. It's now 1030 and I'm have some almonds for a snack. Maybe this new schedule will help me lose????

    A change is always good! Let us know if you notice a difference!

    I had a bowl of Uncle Sam cereal with almond milk this morning, and now for my snack I'm having a small portion of steel cut oatmeal with splenda and cinnamon. I'm really trying to kick the artificial sweetener habit but it's so hard and Stevia/Truvia is so expensive! :noway:

    Cool ... how very innovative of you. LOL I had nothing this morning for breakfast ... unless you count the two glasses of Barium they make you drink before you have diagnostic testing. I was there all morning while they took pictures of how my insides work. Anyway ... once that was all done I headed straight to Subway and had a 6 inch sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub on a 9 grain bun and a bottle of water and now I'll head out to Timmy's for that coffee I missed this morning and strait on back to work. I hope you're all having a wonderful day ... talk to you again soon.

    Guys, I am really getting discouraged.
    I have been good, staying in my calories and drinking my water but my weight seems to be going up instead of down. I don't think it's the fact that I'm not working out because I didn't really do much anyway. Sunday we walked around the zoo for like nearly 4 hours, up and down hills too. That had to count for something. I just feel all bloated and fat and now I am back up to 206 as where Friday I was at 201. I feel constipated and have taken lots of correctol. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
    I'm about ready to cry and almost ready to say forget it! But I don't want to. Please, please please help.

I don't think it's the fact that I'm not working out because I didn't really do much anyway. Sunday we walked around the zoo for like nearly 4 hours, up and down hills too. That had to count for something. I just feel all bloated and fat and now I am back up to 206 as where Friday I was at 201. I feel constipated and have taken lots of correctol. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

    Hang in there. You will probably feel a lot different when the correctol goes to work. I have days like that...I feel so bloated and yucky and the next day I feel better. Not sure if its the body trying to adjust to our changes in eating behavior or just our hormones doing crazy things to our bodies.

    I hate when I think I have been doing great with eating and exercise and the %$#@#$% scales says otherwise. You have done great so far just hang in there.

    I am guessing the scale will be up in the morning...late dinner out at Applebees and I think it was really salty. Will really have to hit the bike hard tomorrow.

    On another note...The 3 kids are going to spend a few days at grandpa and grandmas. My oldest is almost 12. It has been 12 years since my husband and I have been alone for more than a few hours. Out to dinner and a movie. Talked about a romantic get away but thought it would cost too much so making the home a honeymoon suite instead.

    Awe Memaw ... that really sucks ... and it happens to me all the time. I thought for sure that now that I'm eating better and drinking all this water and stuff then my bloaty, gassy, full of ca ca days would be behind me but they happen and they happen often to me. Please don't throw in the towel ... in the long run I feel better most of the time with my new eating and exercising habits and I'm sure it's the same for you. Hang in there ... it will get better soon. :flowerforyou: We're all here for you.

    Tcamsy ... WOO HOO to romance. I remember when my kids still lived at home and every now and then my hubby and I got the chance to be alone ... we used to call them our "Getting Loud" weekends :blushing: I really loved those times ... enjoy my friend.

    Well today started off better then yesterday's barium testing. I had some fibre one for breakfast and am now enjoying my Timmy's coffee. It's going to be busy for me this weekend ... tonight I'm giving a ghost tour (due to the full moon tonight), then tomorrow I'm off to Ottawa (6 hour drive) for a Family Reunion on Sunday and then we'll drive back on Monday so I can get back to my regular job on Tuesday. Wow ... I'm pooped just thinking about it. So how about all of you? Any plans for the weekend?
