Okay, I have got to try this!! I love chips and the only ones I will eat that really tastes like chips are Light Lays but they are made with Olean and I know that olean is not necessarily very healthy. So it would be great to find something with no oil and still have low calories! Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Just tested them and they are great! I paired with some of this dip:

note: it is not a good idea to forgo the parchment paper and cook them directly on the plate. I had no parchment paper and 2/3 of my lovely chips were not able to be removed from plate!

and yes they are crunchy and yummy!

Bless you for posting this! :flowerforyou:

do they really come out crunchy? I think I'll give it a try.
I'd love to know the details for sweet potatoes as well.
    Thanks for sharing!

    Oh yes. Super crunchy.
    Thank you.
My boyfriend and i think you look like Katherine Heigl, by the way. Gorgeous!

Oh gosh, really? Well, thank you for making my night. :)

Apparently sweet potatoes work wonderfully as well.. as I would assume cassava or any starchy root veggie would. Yum yum yum.

Sounds yummy, maybe I'll try it later. I'm just scared because, for some reason, I am prone to microwave fires. I'm sure my death will be in newspapers one day: "girl dies while reheating leftovers'. So maybe I should pass this recipe along to someone more capable in the house.

Yeah... the one chip bursting into flames scared me half to death. It was a potato slice that was thinner than the rest on the paper. I did mine in one minute intervals, and then when they got closer to being done, thirty second intervals, and I watched them closely. Definitely not something to pop into the microwave and just leave.

Thanks for the post....had just seen trays sold in pampered chef to make these for like $30...and didn't think it would work. Will definetly try and parchment paper is much cheaper
