My belly is my nemesis - looking for motivation to get rid of it! Count me in!0

I saw the results for Midriff May and I'm so happy you guys are doing this again. It's just the motivation I need. I am so in.0

So what's everyone doing to trim their torsos this week? I'm damaged my toe - either broken or inflamed joint - so have to keep it low-impact for a bit. I feel some Body Pump coming on tonight!0
-
To be honest, very little bar some very long walks. Next week I'm hitting it seriously.0
-
I'm done w/ Day 10 of 30DS level 2.
Then I have Pilates class later.
I can't tell if I'm toning up, because I started upping my calories to 1700 (from 1400), so I feel like a bloated tick right now.So what's everyone doing to trim their torsos this week? You can do seated punches, while tightening your core.

Rugby, HIIT training and strength training this week, with some extra ab work thrown in. I'm doing side and front planks with hip raises and mountain climbers, and the JM "plank jacks".0

It's all gone quiet over there. What's everyone up to? I've had a welcome "mystery loss" from a week of laziness (broken toe) and massive overeating but I'm feeling flabby. Body Pump today should help get me back on the case!0

Hiding my midriff shyly at home it is -- the boys in my martial arts class are already weirded out enough by having to fight with a girl as it is. Good thing I am starting an at-home program to get in a little exercise every day.0

I have been using an Ab wheel. It gives a good burn. I do this along with sit ups and crunches.0 -
If you remind me I am in... :happy:0

Did a steady-state indoor bike ride last night, with my cheapo HRM for the first time. It takes longer to get into my target zone than with weight-bearing exercise, but is easy to keep there. Disappointing calorie burn compared to the bike or MFP reading I'd been using, though, despite dripping with sweat!
I was thinking of making July's bare belly challenge the outdoor edition, but it's currently 2 degrees C here and it's been raining non-stop for a month, it seems!0 -
It's over half-way through the month already! I've been taking it easy for a couple of days as I have a night-hike tomorrow (I burned 1600 calories doing it last year!), but I may hit the weights tonight.0
-
I will join. I can afford to lose my tummy.0
-
I have been good this month with using the Ab wheel every day. I even told it on a camping vacation. Let's see how it looks when I post a pic in June.0
-
I took some updated pictures this morning, and while I notice a small difference, I think I need to kick it up a notch.
The muscles are under there; come out come out!0 -
Wish I had a before pic of my tummy! I'm noticing big differences with my personal training (I know, groan away, but its a group thing and way cheap at my office!) and boot camp! Anyone else doing a total body workout?
I love that I signed up for this challenge - my bf is trying to convince me to buy a 2 piece this weekend for our vacation next week, and it reminded me that this is still on my to-do list!
Not sure how I feel about the 2 piece... but at least I will get into the idea when I post for this!
Yay! Let's see those tummies!!!0 -
Well, i've uppsed my calories and seem to have put the (hopefully temporary) weight back right on my midsection - hopefully it'll fall off again in the next week! :-(0
-
Not long to go, how's everyone doing? I've just finished a reset week at maintenance, and I was supposed to be back at it hard this week but I've been bed-ridden with flu all weekend. The best I can do is set myself at a deficit for 0.5lb a week loss, track everything and try to get in at least a little exercise that doesn't set me coughing my lungs up :frown:0
-
This challenge has coincided with an injury which has prevented me from running (and for some of the month swimming and cycling). This, for me, has been a blow. But I've been able to keep on track by continuing with my weights and replacing my cardio with HiiT type workouts using movements which didn't aggravate my knee.
Looking at my "before" I'm not sure that I've made any progress and the scales and tape measure back that up with a 0.5 (just less than 1lb) and 1com waist line loss for the month.
But there are a few days left and I'll carry on (what else is there to do) and will post up pics after my Thursday morning swim.
I just need to work out a picture hosting site to store them to.0 -

As June 1st gets closer and closer, I'm getting cold feet.
Is there a way to post pictures to just those on this thread, meaning pix wouldn't be shared w/ non-thread people?
Don't think so.
I am not comfortable w/ showing my pooch (smaller, but still a pooch) to everyone in cyberspace.

(didn't help that I had many servings of sangria and mango bellinis at yesterday's HOT HOT BBQ.)0 -

Lets see if I do this right. I know it is a few days early, but here goes.

Great job scribb!0
-
Well, if anything I've put on weight due to upping my calories (early days) so I'm not sure I can bare or bear the embarassment. :-(0
-
Well done Scrib! Looking good there fella!0

To those worried about exposure, remember this isn't an "after" photo thread and we're not recruiting six-pack fitness models, it's all about body confidence - belly or not, pooch or not, stretch-marks or not.
I've been rendered stationary for the best part of a couple of weeks and I can feel my waistline spread and my muscles atrophy as we speak, but I'm getting the old gut out in the next couple of days because we're all in it together and I'd like to feel the air round my midriff. Plus imagine how superlative it will be when I have this in a string of progress pictures ending in - eventually - my after shot :happy:0
