I had the absolute greatest feeling today and I wanted to share it with y'all since it coincides with the theme of this group. I was walking with my family to go eat dinner at McDonald's (oh for shame I know haha) since we're leaving Korea on Tuesday and just won't be able to get certain items back in the US that we can get here. But anyway, we're walking to dinner and I'm suddenly struck with this euphoric feeling that I look AMAZING! Yeah I know I'm still about 110 pounds away from my goal but I actually felt like I looked good and "thin in my skin" I know that at 47 pounds lighter now than I was at the beginning of the year that I look thinner. I'm positive a lot of this has to do with the hand me down jeans I got from a friend that fit me and therefore I'm not wearing super baggy pants anymore. But it seriously felt incredible to feel like I looked good instead of feeling like I looked like a fat lump.0

Great for you ShadowKitty. I think it's an important step when you're losing weight to shift clothes sizes. It's hard to spend money on new clothes when you're thingking "I'm not done yet and I won't be able to wear these new ones for long before they won't fit." but I do think it's important that we take our new shapes out for a test drive every now and then.
What part of Korea do you live in? We lived in Chinhae for two years...had a great time there. Now the closest place that serves bulgogi is a 45 mile drive away...and we go every three weeks or so. Loved all the varieties of kimchi we could get there.0 -

Had a rough week, was hungry the whole time. I decided to change my goals to just 1 pound a week for a while and hopefully that works to give me more motivation. Going to try this for two weeks and then might need a maintenance week. It is so nice to be part of group with all you. You all inspire me and help me to get through when I'm having a tough time I know I'm not alone.0 -
so shattered and sore this evening. Been sailing for just under 7 hours today. It was great in dingy, really windy, large swell but managed to keep upright and teach the scouts that were out. My back and stomach muscles are complaining as well as my arms and shoulders and my legs are very bruised.
But it was fun and burnt loads of calories!!!
Going to bed early tonight as back out on the water at 8am tomorrow.0 -

We live at Osan AB (around the Pyeongtaek/Songtan area) and have been here for 3 years. I'm excited to hear that there's Korean restaurants where we're going next so we can still get our fix. Even our kids (5 and 15 months enjoy Korean food).
And I completely agree that buying new clothes every now and then on your journey is so important. That's why I've been saving $5 for every pound I lose and whenever I hit 50 pounds I was going to go shopping for some new clothes. But sadly some stupid crap happened which required me to use my entire clothing savings account during this move and so now I don't have that money anymore. BUT, I have a friend who recently lost a bunch of weight and she gave me 5 pairs of her old jeans that now fit me. Four of them are a size larger than the smallest I can squeeze myself into (one pair is a size smaller than that) but because I'm literally not sucking it in to get them up and zipped, it means they fit properly. So I pretty much don't need to buy new clothes right now anyway since it was really only the bottoms that looked horrible on me. Looser tops can be pulled off still. Now I just need to find some other way to reward myself for losing that first 50 pounds (in 2.6 pounds!).0 -

Kristen, I LOVE your picture and your sexy self in that dress! You are looking toned too, so I guess the weight training is going well! That is what I love to do!! My co-teacher is finally on the mend after several complications, but the best news is that they got all of the cancer out....lymph nodes were clear!! Yay! Thanks for your concern:-)

This is the first time I've checked this post in almost a week.....the last week of school with 30 ten year old's and my co-teacher being out after surgery nearly did me in....lol
Not sure what the scale will show since I haven't seen the gym in a week, but I'm off for the summer and now the fun/work of losing the last 10 will begin. I wear capris and dresses to work all of the time, but have really been getting compliments lately about how good I am looking. One nice thing about being 4'11" is that sundresses are flattering and I love to wear them because they are so comfy!!
I hope everyone had a great week.....I'll be weighing in the morning and will be more supportive with my increased time off:-)

Finally the scale has moved!!! I haven't eaten much this weekend mind, the bf ended things on Friday so I've been feeling depressed all weekend and haven't stopped crying0 -
Going the wrong way! Had a great weekend out sailing on the Firth. Could still taste the salt when i came home. We got 30 kids who'd never been on the water sailing a triangular course by the end of the weekend and doing a powerboat challenge. I have an unreal number of sore muscles and spectacular collection of bruises. Am out sailing tonight, but this time is staff fun session, so may end up swimming too. As we play!
