I am 5'3" and been at this for about 100 days. I have gone from an 18 to 14-16 and I am thrilled. I just fit into a swimsuit that is a 14 and last year it was 18 and I wasn't comfortable in it. Woo Hoo!

Hello there! I'm 5'2, starting weight was 198. Currently down to 145, I went from a (snug) size 18 to a 9/10 so far. I'm not done yet, goal weight is around 120 I'm guessing, depending how I look/feel when I get there, but I have no doubt that I WILL get there, and so can you. :)

I consider myself a success!!! I am 5' 3.5" and 30 years old. I realized in October of 2010 that I weighted 214 and started then... So far I have made it to 152.6 on friday when I weighed in. Here are my milestones so far.
    ***Mini Weight Accomplishments***
    1/26/11 = 205 pounds (MFP start)
    3/02/11 = 197 pounds (ONEderland!!!)
    4/13/11 = 190 pounds
    6/08/11 = 180 pounds
    11/4/11 = 170 pounds
    4/06/12 = 160 pounds
    xx/xx/12 = 150 pounds

Here is where I started MFP at 205

5'3" - SW was 217, now down to 196. Hoping to get to 160s again. Love to hear about ladies getting down into 130s and 140s, - I had honestly written off ever getting back down that low (high school weight). We can do it. One day at a time!

I'm 5'5", but my starting weight was almost 203 lbs.

I am currently 166 lbs, and my goal will be somewhere between 150 and 140, and I hope to add a lot of muscle along the way!

It's hard sometimes, but just don't give up! It's worth it and then some!

    Hey :) I'm 5ft 4in

    SW: 201lbs in Jan 2011
    CW: 127lbs
    GW: 126lbs

I lost most of the weight by August 2011 and have been taking the last 20lbs slowly as I kept changing my goal weight. I found exercise helps greatly, especially with toning as your weight comes down.

Good luck! You can do it!

Well can't say that a success story yet - lol - but I'm 5'4" and started at 229.4. I'm down to 223.8 with A LOT of set backs.
My goal is 125-135. That's where I've felt the most comfortable before.

I'm 5'4 and started at 202. I'm now at 145, which was my original goal weight. Now that I'm here, I'd like to try to hit 135!

I am 5'5"--broke the 200 lb. barrier in 2004 and remained there until August of 2011. My documented high was 215 lbs, but may have been 10+ pounds heavier--not sure since I didn't weigh myself for years. I had been sedentary--watching T.V. and eating chips and candy for almost 15 years--gaining 60+ pounds. With my 50th birthday approaching, I decided it was now or never, do or die! Started walking to and from work (30 mins. each way) on May 23, 2011. Gradually reduced sweets and and chips, but barely lost an ounce until August 2011, when I started taking CLA -(Conjugated Linoleic Acid) then lost 11 pounds that month. I have since added treadmill walking, Zumba, yoga and light weight lifting to my weekly routine. Not on any special eating plan, but do try to stay away from too much junk food. Am now down to 163 with a goal of 150. I was to the point of seriously considering bariatric surgery--so glad I didn't do it. I have struggled with weight my entire life and did not think it possible, being female and middle aged, to ever lose a significant amount. Sadly, I think it is simply calories in vs calories out, but not sure what the key is for getting motivated. I wish everyone the best of luck--it is definitely an ongoing battle. I highly recommend Zumba-it's very scary at first and you'll feel like a complete fool--just stay with it!! It gets better and is extremely FUN--doesn't seem like exercise at all. There are women of every age, shape, and size at the studio I go to, and I have never felt out of place. Finding an activity you love is key--pretty soon it becomes an obsession (a good one) and not the food!
