5'3" - SW was 217, now down to 196. Hoping to get to 160s again. Love to hear about ladies getting down into 130s and 140s, - I had honestly written off ever getting back down that low (high school weight). We can do it. One day at a time!0

I'm 5'5", but my starting weight was almost 203 lbs.
I am currently 166 lbs, and my goal will be somewhere between 150 and 140, and I hope to add a lot of muscle along the way!
It's hard sometimes, but just don't give up! It's worth it and then some!

Hey I'm 5ft 4in
SW: 201lbs in Jan 2011
CW: 127lbs
GW: 126lbs
I lost most of the weight by August 2011 and have been taking the last 20lbs slowly as I kept changing my goal weight. I found exercise helps greatly, especially with toning as your weight comes down.
Good luck! You can do it!0 -
Iv started close enough to 200 I started at 196 and I'm also 5'4
My CW is 169ish cause that the last time I weighted, but my GW is 145 than take a week off than try to get down to atleast 1350 -
Everyone on here is so inspirational. I'm currently in Afghanistan and I figured there no better time to give this new life style change a go than no!

Well can't say that a success story yet - lol - but I'm 5'4" and started at 229.4. I'm down to 223.8 with A LOT of set backs.
My goal is 125-135. That's where I've felt the most comfortable before.

I am 5'5"--broke the 200 lb. barrier in 2004 and remained there until August of 2011. My documented high was 215 lbs, but may have been 10+ pounds heavier--not sure since I didn't weigh myself for years. I had been sedentary--watching T.V. and eating chips and candy for almost 15 years--gaining 60+ pounds. With my 50th birthday approaching, I decided it was now or never, do or die! Started walking to and from work (30 mins. each way) on May 23, 2011. Gradually reduced sweets and and chips, but barely lost an ounce until August 2011, when I started taking CLA -(Conjugated Linoleic Acid) then lost 11 pounds that month. I have since added treadmill walking, Zumba, yoga and light weight lifting to my weekly routine. Not on any special eating plan, but do try to stay away from too much junk food. Am now down to 163 with a goal of 150. I was to the point of seriously considering bariatric surgery--so glad I didn't do it. I have struggled with weight my entire life and did not think it possible, being female and middle aged, to ever lose a significant amount. Sadly, I think it is simply calories in vs calories out, but not sure what the key is for getting motivated. I wish everyone the best of luck--it is definitely an ongoing battle. I highly recommend Zumba-it's very scary at first and you'll feel like a complete fool--just stay with it!! It gets better and is extremely FUN--doesn't seem like exercise at all. There are women of every age, shape, and size at the studio I go to, and I have never felt out of place. Finding an activity you love is key--pretty soon it becomes an obsession (a good one) and not the food!0

BEEN ON MFP 450 Proud Days!!!!! Changed my LIFE!
Only thing I can suggest is find what works for you...We are same height but our body is different... The key for me was preplanning and cooking all my meals in advance. Leaves less room for error....I have days just like everyone else but I chose to make the following one better after that..IMPORTANT...Good luck to you....

I'm 5'3" and currently 210lbs. Earlier this year I was 220lbs. At the end of March/Early April I was 215lbs. I want to lose weight slowly to build good habits/avoid gaining it back. So far, I can't see my progress visually though. But I'm going to try to exercise 4 days a week now instead of 3 and limit my carbs to help me avoid sweets.0

I am 5'4"
HW: 220
SW: 216.2 When I started on MFP on 5/21/2012
CW: 213.0
GW: 140-145 (But If I gain muscle mass maybe between 150-160)
When I attempted to start back in Feburary I was at my highest documented weight of 220 on 2/2/12, even though I know I was heavier in high school. ( I worked fast food). By 2/20/12 I was down to 207lbs. I was so proud and motivated, but then unfortunately I had an abscessed tooth that hurt like H*** so I stopped exercising and lost my motivation. It has taken me 3 month to completely start back up again but I think my motivation and determination is 10x better now that it ever was. With the research and extensive planning that I have done for my current weight loss plan I feel I'll reach my goal weight by my birthday!!0 -
well I'm 5' 5" and weight 228 now @ 198 so that's 30 lbs i've lost - feel good but still a size 16 -0

Hi--I started at 237 and I am down 16 lbs. Sometimes it's hard to believe I can do it. It seems like execise really is the key -- and a good nights sleep. I do somnetimes seem to get so hungry. And I don't get it why water is so important. I knoiw everyone says it is -- but really -- why?0

Not anymore!!
I started out in Jan 2011 at 92kg (about 204 pounds) now I'm sitting happily somewhere around 73kg (probably 160ish).
I'd like to lose a little more, but as long as I can fit into size 12 pants (US 8) I'm not desperate to do it.0 -
