    tammietifanie - congrats!:flowerforyou:

I also love that you took home apples to make your own apple pie - what a great compromise.

Hi everyone I am still here! I am sorry I have been MIA! I have had a really bad couple of weeks with nothing but gain. I know why I am gaining. I started a new job and have not found a new time to work out. I also have been eating horrible and I know it but I have been so stressed. Anyway I am trying to start back today. I went to the gym and am trying to eat better. Hopefully I am on the right track.

    Thanks!!! @ Jlbay & Akgrant

I think only weighing myself once a week in going to help alot. Its going to motivate me to want to lbs in dfference instead pts of lbs( like I do when I weigh myself everyday).

I'd almost forgotten about weekly challenges.

I drink a lot of water.
I gave up soda a long time ago so that's not a problem
I was faithful doing crunches for awhile but no so much lately
I don't snack after my planned cereal snack at 8:30 PM

If there were others, I forgot what they were. Should we add a new one?

I've been keeping up with our challenges. So, I'm ready for a new one. Anyone have any ideas??
I can't think of any - except the pedometer one - that is one someone suggested that we never did.

    6 more weigh-ins until T-day!

I'm sorry I haven't signed on for a while. I was in a car accident last Thursday, so I missed the weigh in. I have some pretty painful whiplash, so I've mostly been laying low. And eating. :grumble:
This week I'm going to focus on getting some sort of exercise everyday. I've been slacking for a while and its time to pick my bum off the couch.
I read everyones comments about weekend eating mishaps. I couldn't agree more! All my work goes down the drain Saturday and Sunday. Maybe we should have a new challenge that addresses weekend eating?

I'm retired so every day is a weekend    but my downfall is restaurant eating  which might be part of the weekend eating problem for some, so weekend/restaurant/social event eating could be part of a challenge

The only way this works for me is to make it a priority higher than pleasing my friends and family and higher than treating myself to yummy stuff.

This is what I've found to be true for me, too. If I keep eating and drinking on the weekends with my friends and husband - I never get ahead. They all hate it, but I now stick strictly to my plan all weekend. I also find non-food rewards to be the way to go - exercise clothes right now - regular clothes every 15 lbs. New clothes for a new body is the BEST reward!

    I'm back to doing crunches
5 sets of 14 every other day. I've been drinking enough water every day and logging my food and exercise. The cool fall weather hasn't kept me from walking outdoors so I'm staying active.

How is everybody else doing ?????????

I was doing great until my husband asked for some freshly baked banana nut bread!! Then went over to the in laws for dinner and my mother in law made her famous lemon cake AND chocolate chip cookies!!! I am getting ready to go run on the treadmil but I will have to run all night to work off those calories!! Luckily tomorrow is Monday and I can get back on track!! :blushing:

Looks like you are doing great! You are such an inspiration!!:flowerforyou:

I've been doing well for the last couple of weeks, since I returned from holiday. I've been keeping to my exercise and eating plan and it hasn't been difficult. I don't know if I'm going to meet my goal - 7 lbs in 5 weeks, but I think I'm going to get close.

I feel very focused at this point. The scary thing for me is, that I've felt this determination before and somehow let it slip away. On the other hand, I've felt this determination before and quit smoking to become a serious runner. I'm not quite sure what the difference is for me between success and failure.

So, with that in mind, I find this short term goal (the TD challenge) is really helping me to keep focused. If I start to think of my ultimate goal too much - I get discouraged.

    Good luck to everyone!

Ack! Tomorrow is weigh-in day!! I feel very bloated and NOT like I've lost any weight. I had a pot-luck on Saturday - but didn't go crazy and I think it was my only transgression. I will be getting on the scale one toe at a time (it helps me  ) and looking through my fingers at the reading.

How is everyone else's week going?

How funny, I was doing the same thing this morning!!! I normally don't weight myself before the weigh in but I just had to see!!! I don't think I've lost any weight this week because I did eat alittle more than I should have but my goal this week was to just stay in the150s and I think I did manage to do that!!
