I'm 5'7, my goal is 150 (realistically 160). I started at 175, and am slowly starting to see some results, finally! Also looking for some new friends to motivate each other if anyone wants to add me0
-
I'm 5'8", large frame & my goal is 145 - 155. Much lower than that and I would look sickly. I do want to be more toned though.0

feel free to add me. Am same height, curvy with a bigger build frame. Am looking to go down to 175lb to see how I look as I have no idea what size/weight I will be happy at. I got 2 babes and love food so trying to be realistic with food choices and weight goals. Just wanna be healthier for my girls.0

Hi, I'm 5'8'' and carry most of my weight in my top half.. aiming for 150! x0
-
I'm 5'8" (medium frame) & totally understand.
Toning is my biggest thing, & strength training's helped me lose a lot of inches versus just working out to lose pounds.
I'm aiming for 170 right now, but once I get there, I may go a little lower.
Not thinking anything under 150, though.
I tend to carry weight on the chest & stomach; I lost two cup sizes so far & my stomach's gotten smaller considerably! Still have more to go, but I just wanted to say that you're off to a great start.0 -
Hi I'm 5'7.5 and aiming for somewhere between 130-135lb will decide when I get there - currently doing Insanity & loving it
Feel free to add me too!0 -
I'm 5' 7 1/2", too. My ultimate goal is a muscular but very trim, fit 135 lbs. My body type is curvy, too, but also mostly mesomorphic (builds muscle easily). I'm more of an "hourglass with the sand at the bottom". With all of the weight I'm carrying right now, I am very pear shaped, but at a smaller size I've tended to be more of an hourglass that just has a bit less in the boob department, and a bit more in the bum.
If you're one of us "birthing hips" types, I absolutely wouldn't go below 130 lbs, but probably higher. It depends on how lean you want to get. 120 to 162 lbs is the healthy BMI range for 5' 7 1/2", keeping in mind that the top end of that range is more reasonable if your body composition includes above-average muscle mass. A healthy body fat % (which you can have tested fairly accurately, at your weight, via calipers used by an experienced fitness professional) should be between 18-25%. The bottom end of the BMI range is probably more suited for a woman with a "ruler" or "rectangle" figure (genetically just not well-endowed with boobs or bum or hips. Good examples of that type of figure would be Nicole Kidman, Paris Hilton, Cameron Diaz, etc).0 -
Hi All, I'm 5'7 and aiming for 140lbs or thereabouts but will play it by ear as I get nearer to goal and see how I feel..0
-
Hi everyone, I am 5'8" and 207. Hoping to get down to 135ish. I have a large frame and carry most of my weight in my arms, back, chest, stomach.0

Hiya,
Yep, I'm 5'7. I started at 150 pounds, am currently 137 pounds, but aiming to get it down to around 127 (I'm 28 and very small-chested ). I'm a runner too, and also didn't really know how to work on arms and hips, until somebody recommended me the 30 day shred. I'm doing that everyday now (not planning on stopping after 30 days), and combining it with running. Seems to work for me, feel free to add me if you like0 -
5'7" here, 54 yrs old, size medium
I've been as high as 165 and as low as 125 but I find that my comfort range is around 135. Easy to maintain. When I feel like getting skinny I can get to 128 but it doesn't last long. With careful eating I can maintain 133 easily but I tend to cheat and sneak up to 138. I'm headed back down now...we'll see how long it lasts.0 -
5'7" and hoping to be 125lbs and maintain it!0

Oh my gosh, it's freaky how similar our situations are! I'm 5'7 and 172 lbs. I am making my first goal to be 155, so that I can be in the healthy weight range for my height. Of course, I would love to be closer to 130-140, but I want to make a realistic goal to start out with. I also have been running everyday for about 2 months, but need some ideas to really work my arms and abs! I love zumba, but I want more things!!! I will add you as a friend snce we have such common stats and situations0

Go to tools and find out what the BMI is for your target weight and age. You may be surprised . . .for me it was only 1300 calories, but I'm not going to eat just that little. But I will gain if I eat more than 1531, which is what it says. I usually lose if I eat 1500 a day, as long as I'm active.
RuthJust curious to know what your goal weight is. I'm sort of flying by the seat of my pants here. I don't know what an appropriate goal weight would be for me. Probably won't know till I get there, but I am a curvy mama with a big chest, hips and thighs. Hoping to slim down in those areas and tone my abs and arms. Right now I'm really just running, so I could use some good arm exercises and ab exercises. I bought am 8lb free weight for my arms but really only know 1-2 strength training exercises. Help!
Thanks!

I am about 5' 8.5" and I have a medium sized frame. My goal weight is 150 but 145 would be awesome! My daily goal for calories is 1600 without exercise. However, I usually eat back a few of my exericse cals.0

I'm 5'7" and large, muscular frame...When I was in Weight Watchers, they had originally stated 153 lbs was the upper limit, but then they upped it to 160...I'd say, when you're firm and can tell you're in shape, that's when you're at your goal weight. One can't always go by arbitrary rules created by other people...JB0

I'm 5'7 and at 140 pounds, I'm hoping to get back to 115 thats how much I weighed before I got married. But I'll be happy if I can at least get 125. I'm sure my husband would be happy too! Haha0
-
I'm 5'7 1/2" and would looooove to be even 160lbs! I'm currently at 189lbs. Once I reach 160 I will see where I am at, I might want to get to 145lb but will depend on how I look/feel as it might just be an issue of toning.0

I'm 5'7" and aiming to be 135, which is what I was right after college. During college I was closer to 120 but when I look back at pictures of myself, I don't really like them because I had no real muscle tone. I really want to be fit and strong. I could probably weigh less if I had a smaller chest haha.0

I'm 5'8". For most of my life I have been around 150 lbs and size 6. My goal is to get back there.
In my 20's, I was at 140 ish lbs for a couple of years, but that's much more difficult to maintain and not realistic for me with the job I have now.0 -
I am 5'8 and when I got down to 155 I was very thin looking and that was enough for me but I am also 46 years old and at that weight a person tends too start looking older now im bak too 188 and trying to get back down too 155 AGAIN0
