Even though I set my goal at 7,500 steps per day, I've really been trying to get over 10,000 each day. The last 3 days I've been tied up with a fundraiser for my county historical society so didn't have as much time available for walking. But ... I WANTED those 10,000 steps! So I was out walking the yard in the dark - racing like crazy on the exercise bike - and even finishing the last few steps needed by walking/jogging in place before getting in bed. I was tired, achy, and cranky, but I remembered two of my favorite mottos ..... "You don't need luck, you have determination" and "I am stronger than my excuses". The first was a comment I received from a friend on Facebook when I posted about wishing me luck the morning of my first 5K in February and the second was my rewording of a post on a forum (I forget where). It has been amazing the last 15 months where the motivation and support has come from that is keeping my on track with my lifestyle change. This challenge (and my Fitbit!) has been extremely motivational and I hope everyone continues to participate in the months ahead.0 -

very sadly walking is not good for my hip right now. So I will elliptical extra time as the month goes. When Better I wish to walk again more.0
