    Nice 12 miles today. 28.6 for the week and 86.6 for the month.

    On plane right now, 17 hours of travel ahead. Did a 10K this morning - plateauing right now on speed, but I am OK with it, working on building up my distance for long runs. 76 miles total so far for June. :smile:
  • Total of 13 for week of June 11-16. 39 total for the month so far.
    Unfortunately, I think I'm out of commission for a little while. I pulled something in my calf this morning at mile 3 of 6! I am terribly upset - this is my first running injury. Everything I read tells me to rest, and for someone doing cardio 6 days a week and strength about 4 days a week - it's going to be terribly hard. I've only been running about 3 months, but I love it so. I don't want to rest, but will do what is necessary to heal so I can get back to running! Now, back to the couch with me ice and pillows to keep this thing elevated. Enjoy your runs everyone!

    Got in a nice 6 mile run this morning and was rewarded with a beautiful sunrise
    total for month so far- 6 miles

    i managed to keep slightly under a 15min/mile pace for 5 of the miles, which for me is an improvement

    i love to be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise. it's a feeling like no other, isn't it? :heart:

    June Running Stats so far:
    Miles - 51.3, Time Running - 9:33:04, Avg Pace - 11:10 / mi, Days Run - 12

    7.22 mile run in 1h21m37s, Avg Pace 11:19, Splits 11:40 - 11:17 - 11:44 - 11:35 - 11:16 - 12:00 - 10:13 - 1:52 for last .22 miles (8:30mm pace), Temps 72-81F, DP 67-69F, slight breeze, sunny. Warmed up quite a bit during my run. I can't seem to resist running faster on the last mile. BC was 5/5 for the first 6 miles, then 4/4 the rest of the way.

    Legs feel pretty good. Top of right foot starting to feel a little sore now that I am resting, felt good while running though.

    Saw three raptors today. One was perched on a branch about eye level, didn't fly off till I got fairly close to it. Pretty cool. A couple solitary White Ibis, which was a tad odd since I usually see them in groups. One strange guy with an odd look in his eye walking down the sidewalk carrying a 7' long pvc pipe. I said Good Morning, he just gave me a startled look and then I was by him, lol.

    Ran my 5K yesterday! It was a PR for me running the distance at my own pace! There weren't a ton running so there wasn't someone to pace me! haha finished 30:46.

    3.01 Recovery Run in 35:02, Avg Pace 11:37, Splits 11:41 - 11:34 - 11:36, Temp 90F, DP 60F, nice breeze, sunny. Drier than it has been for awhile now, only 37% RH. Was trying for a recovery pace, but went slightly faster. Felt good though.

    Saw a cat chilling under a car, just watched me run by. That's about it this time.

    This week will be a Taper/Cutback week. Have a 5k race on Saturday.
