Worst part about losing weight

I think the worse thing ive experieced is having to deal with the mental "image" of myself that is not healthy/true anymore.
Realizing my relationship with food was unhealthy and destructive.
Focus of my weight everytime someone sees me who hasnt seen me in a while.0 -
Being scared of all that flabby loose skin that might show up! I've been big all my life and even though I'm only 22 (stretchier skin!) I still find myself worrying about it.0
-
My problem is STRETCH marks. Especially on my legs and thighs where I carried most of the weight I lost. :ohwell:0

When you are the only one trying to do it in your house, have to do different meals, and not eating MY SWEETS!!!!!
I have to agree, when no one else in the house is doing it~0 -
ONE of the worst parts is when the clothes start getting too big (but the wonderful part about that is buying new clothes when I'm finally down to my goal weight/size).
For me the actual worst part about losing weight, is looking in the mirror and seeing how far I've come but realizing that I've still got a ways to go. I'm thankful for my progress, but there's always more work ahead! :-)0 -
Well my friend after all the time that I have work to lose wreigth I don't think there is anything bad about it. It is all good, Ofcouse I nedd to lose 20 more puonds so I guess a have not get to the bad part of the deal, but I really what to get there0

There should be a place on here where people can pass down their clothes to others. A pay-it-forward kind of thing. I would be glad to take anyone's size 16-20 when you skinny out of them I have some 22-28 to pass along too. If anyone needs them, send me a message
Same.
I gained most of my weight over one year, so most of my jeans have really bad thigh blowouts. I would be willing to take anybody's size 16 jeans!0 -
My wife says my suit is looking too big, at my size suits are pricy, and I don't relish the idea of getting a new suit every 20 pounds lost and then dumping it while its still wearable0

My boobies. Are. Gone.
^^^This. Not that I had much to work in the first place but now...0 -

Right now the hardest thing is my fiance. It isn't that he is unsupportive (quite the opposite, he helps motivate me and tells me he's proud of me for pushing through harder and harder things). It's that he has hyperthyroidism and is struggling to GAIN weight. Since I love cooking, it can be hard to cook things that are healthy for me but will also pack pounds on him. Luckily we're starting to learn how to deal with this, but it's still tough at times.0

ive been famous for my big *kitten* forever...and its slowly gone down a bit...i think it feels like its gone down more just because none of my jeans fit..which is a good thing ina way cause i was bursting out of them befoe this...once i buy new jeans that hug my *kitten* though i think it will be back to lookin slammin again hahaha it still looks great in undiess too =D but yea def losing boobies and *kitten* and such..and constantly not being able to eat what other ppl eat0

the plateaus. Been fighting one for almost a month. But always have to think on the bright side... It'll end sometime!0

Second hand or consignment stores are great for this issue if you are just going through sizes.0

losing my BOOBS! lol0

i have to run a lil farther bc the weight I lost isnt the same as it was before on my treadmill calories...if thats a bad thing...0

New clothes. I have one pair of jeans left that fit me. Being a law student, mom, and on one military income, I cannot justify spending $30+ for a new pair of jeans. I really wish I had not donated all of my other pre-pregnancy jeans
PLATO's Closet (if you have one nearby, is a great place to buy name brand jeans for around $12!) Happy Shopping!0 -
Def the having to get new clothes, or having to wear a belt to hold up your baggy jeans. EMBARRASING
I bought cute suspenders and I even wear them with my dress slacks (much to the chagrin of my 14 year old daughter!) Haha...I don't care, because I know that I am doing what is good for me...and someday soon...I will have a new skinny wardrobe...
Also, meantime, I am shopping thrift shops and garage sales to find clothes that fit (also had a whole boutique of sizes in the back of my closet and it is very satisfying to go there and find something cute that fits again!! YAY!)0 -
losing my BOOBS! lol
Boobs are overrated compared to the great feeling of fitting into your skinny clothes and knowing you are regaining good health and strength!!

Good Will or Salvation Army Stores will be your friend!!0 -
Being cold all the time. Seems like everyone I know is still heavy and likes to run the air full blast.0

Shrinking boobs & not being able to seat for more than a few minutes on a hard surface (less cushion in the rear)0

That everything is shrinking BUT my boobs  Honestly, I hate having big breasts. If I could give them away, I would.
In all seriousness, I think the worst thing about losing weight is the anxiety of being judged. In my house, I was always the skinniest and my mom and sister have been overweight most of their lives, while my dad has always been fit because of his job in construction. I gained weight over the past few years and now I'm changing things. However, now I'm more conscience of what they think of me. My dad turns his nose up at me, since staying fit has always been natural to him so he doesn't understand it. My sister has been trying to diet for years and I think she resents me for doing it and having a bit more success than her (she's been in a plateau for a while). And then I feel like my mother thinks that I think I'm better than her since I'm eating healthy even though I don't. I would love it if she tried to lose weight too but she doesn't have the commitment to try (I have been cooking for the family so I can at least help her with one meal )
So, yeah, I can handle the superficial changes, but the emotional dynamics in my house since this change is pretty stressful. I will be glad when I get to my goal weight so maybe things will be different.0 -
Buying new clothes is really getting harder and harder. At first it was ok but having to keep doing it gets expensive I have been letting my jeans get really baggy and shirts be big on me. I love having to buy new clothes but I have a son to take care of so my needs come last. I try and get clothes on sale when I can. Another thing that bugs me is this loose skin! I work out but I still have loose skin under my arms and my belly where I had my c-section. Those two spots are the hardest for me!0

I have three I'd like to vent:
1. When people ask me my 'secret' and then they practically roll their eyes at me when I tell them: healthy eating, working hard at the gym and a behavior plan. It's like they'd prefer I was loosing with Jenny Craig or WW. Not so glamorous, that I'm doing it on my own?
2. The awkward position I'm put in when congratulated by someone about my success that will make a loved one feel bad (ex my sister at a family event) who isn't having success.
3. Also, very frustrating, when people think it is OK to ask my weight or my current size.
Agree with the above comments too ;-) thanks for the great post0 -
I lost my butt! I had the greatest a** before I started and now it's dwindling! I would have thought the boobs would go. I would have rather the boobs go! I have so much to give in that department!0
-
I am having issue with clothes to. I try to only by a few things at a time. I am a in a smaller size than I was in High School, The clothes I bought a month ago I cant wear anymore. I am at my goal weight i think, but I am going to wait a couple more weeks
before we replace the whole wardrobe0 -
My boobs are shrinking, as is my butt. My fiance isn't excited.
And I agree, I miss being able to eat whatever the hell I want to whenever I want. But it does feel better when I can't finish dessert or a full meal!0
