RANT: I wanted to punch his face.

I was jogging with a friend today (and before I go any further, you have to understand that I NEVER jog in public, always stay inside on the treadmill, so this was a big step for me). So we were jogging back and we live on a fairly busy street, there's this guy with two girls walking in front of us, as we pass them by we hear the guy sarcastically say, "well THAT'S very attractive."
Totally just pissed me off, I mean how rude do you have to be? I legit wanted to go back and punch his face.

As the saying goes "some people deserve a high 5, in the face, with a chair", that guy is one of them!0

Wow. I just sat here with my jaw dropped for a few. Sorry you had to hear that. I go running 3-4 times a week at a popular park here in Houston, and i'm sure my booty ain't no spectacular show but I always wear headphones so I don't hear any comments. What a jerky thing for him to say.0

That's digusting!! Unfortunately in my experience that sort of thing is all too common. I think its why I get so riled up when people claim that people never dare say anything rude to to/about overweight people. I have a list of events like that as long as my arm, people can be *kitten*!!0
-
You should have turned around and thanked him for showing others just how ignorant one *kitten* can be....What an *kitten*.0
-
Maybe he is old fashioned and was offended that you weren't in a kitchen somewhere barefoot and pregnant?
You silly new-age girls with your hopes, dreams, and self-confidence.
You're making it difficult for a**holes to manipulate you.0 -
Just keep going back, and everytime you see him, smile. Make it a creepy smile, or a psycho smile, or a sweet smile, or whatever you feel like...or maybe do a couple of each.
People being healthy and happy deserve more of the sidewalk than that ****.0 -
you should have punched him. What an *kitten*.0
-
I would have made a smartass comment back to him. lol0
-
Just dress up like a zombie and chase after him with a bloody knife, see how far he can run, then blame it on bath salts. :laugh:0
-
Where can I find him? I'll do it for you.0
-
Now that is ahate crime to me. put him in a cell for awhile to think about how stupid he is.0
-
Scew em. Wear headphones.0
-
Ugh. What a TOOL...seriously, he probably has little weenie syndrome or something! I hate running/walking outside in busy areas, but you need to keep going back! :flowerforyou:0

Lol I bet you could outrun that @ss hat any day.0 -
I'd be very tempted to retort something like, "I'm working hard to get rid of my extra weight, but I'm terribly afraid you're stuck with your stupidity!"0
-
Agree: Wear headphones... or keep your middle fingers ready. :-P What a d-bag.0
-
headphones and earplugs....2 necessities of life haha0
-
my motto: if you didn't say it to my face it isn't about me. Unfortunately you just have to ignore jerks like that. Sorry you had to hear that...but as you said in your post...YOU PASSED HIM!!! be proud of yourself!!0
-
You should have said " I know RIGHT!" Smacked your *kitten* and kept on running... idiots...0
-
I would have smiled and sweetly turned back and responded with, "wow what a wonderful role model for children! I feel sorry for yous." Keep going girl.. Who gives to cents what this man said.0

if it happens again just repeat:

The good news? You're getting into great shape and you're a good, kind person. The bad news, he'll probably always remain a total *kitten*. So, you "win"! And yes, he deserved a snap upside the head. Glad you didn't give it to him though!0
-
How do you know he was talking about you?0
-
I like to say "You can fix fat, but you can't fix stupid"0
-
Don't let an *kitten* stop you from running outdoors, girl. Don't give him that much power. Just keep doing your thing! Most people are really supportive and are probably thinking, "Damn, she's reminding me that I need to start working out too!"0
-
People who act out are really crying out for help.
Just pity them, and keep to your goals.0 -
I've had people in supermarkets make comments about me, it's not hard to make a joke out of someone who's big (myself) and someone who isn't their idea of a perfect body doing something as active as jogging. If people want to be jerks, they'll find a way to be.
Though to be myself, if I had gotten that comment I would've shot back "I know right? You've really let yourself go, man." and gone on my merry way. It would've hurt, but I would've spat his own stupid back in his face and put distance between us before his Dial-Up brain could say anything else.
The worst insult I've ever gotten I'd have to say was the lovely person who, while I exited my vehicle in a parking lot, stayed inside his car next to mine and proceeded to make insults about my weight, my supposed sexuality (I get mistaken for a lesbian because apparently I fit some stereotyping) and my body in general. That's just the biggest display of a neutered man I've ever witnessed. I was mad he insulted me and I was mad he did it within the safety of his car.0 -

haha, I LOVE this.
&aside from that DB, I totally did have fun jogging outside with a friend, i'm gonna try and make this a twice a week thing!0 -
I definitely understand! I actually had someone "Oink" at me once when I was out walking, and another time, at my old gym, these guys got behind me on the elliptical and started "mooing" I was a lot bigger in those days so I had no confidence. Now if it happened, I'd chase them down. I may still be fat BUT I'm losing weight and you're just as dumb today as you were last week... good luck fixing that! You keep going, girl!0

I read this and was quite disgusted, then I took a look at your picture, profile and goals. I think he was talking about something else, seriously there is no possible way he could have been referring to you. Perhaps they were discussing a prior event or conversation with someone. You are not in any way un-attractive, so put that out of your mind :happy:0
