Believe that there are better things in store for you, in every area of your life. Don't let self-defeat thinking get in the way of getting everything you deserve for yourself.
Whenever I am at my most depressed, and beating up on myself, I find that is when I'm most likely to give up.0 -
Don't obsess over everything... this will drain you (that's what always happens to me). if you do slip up once in a while, make a mental note of how the bad food made you feel.... the helps you say no next time. Also, stick to water most of the time. And most importantly, eat REAL healthy foods, not prepackaged onces.... that has been a game changer for me - no more lean cuisine/smart ones meals for me... just natural healthy foods that I cook myself.0

You'll have MORE regret about eating those 'extras' like dessert and chocolate and snacks etc, than about NOT eating those extras.0

This. Start slow. Walk if you can't jog. Eat frequently. No fast food. No sat fats.0 -
eat less (portion control) no late night snacking ,move more excercise as well...drinks lots of water ,get a nice hrm dont rely on the machines in the gym accuracy ,find out works for you as far how many cals you should consume daily ,take one day @ a time. Have patience & when you fall down & have a bad week get back up & keep moving dont allow a week to be 3 months or the rest of the year. And do it for you make a lifestyle change & form good habits with eating ,face your relationship with eating realizing we dont eat to fill the void of bieng unhappy we eat to live. Find other activities to do bedside eating out !0

Pay attention to the NSV's--that's non-scale victories. I've lost weight before (60 lbs) and put it back on with interest but I didn't pay attention to my body and its changes. This time I'm taking the process slow, learning what I can eat and when, and noticing the little non-scale victories like my pants fitting loosely and the fat wings in the back are smaller and I can sit cross legged without holding onto my calves. This is my journey and I'm going to enjoy it!0

don't buy anything with a barcode printed on it.0

You didn't gain it overnight so don't expect to lose it overnight. Understand that it took years of unhealthy eating and no exercise to become overweight. Every step in the right direction is one step closer to your goal.
My favorite mantra when things get tough is 'quitting is easy." Remember that.0 -
Don't think I saw this one... Get clothes that fit properly. I used to wear baggy loose fitting clothes thinking I was hiding how big I was, it made me look bigger. Just wearing clothing that fit (properly, not tight or baggy) had people asking if I lost weight when I hadn't, it was very motivating.
But don't go crazy with the shopping- you won't be in them long. Get rid of any clothing that is more than a couple sizes too big, donate/sell whatever. You don't want to work your way back into them.
Try different brands of water, they don't all taste the same and you might find one you prefer. will make the increasing your water intake easier.0 -
Eat.
Eat small meals every few hours (I do every 2-3 hours). It keeps up your metabolism, keeps you full, and stops you from overeating. I find that it also REALLY helps to curb cravings.0
