The Italian that you mix yourself. comes with its own container that tells how much oil/vinnegar/water to mix. I swap the vinnegar and oil for more vinnegar, less oil. Healthier and tastes great!
That's exactly what I do. I use extra virgin olive oil.

im not really big on dressings but i do like a small dollop of helmans lite now and again
  • Dorothy Lynch's Fat Free Dressing, is a good one. I know it's been said numerous times before, but remember to put it in a small cup and dip you fork in it vs. just dumping it on. You'll be shocked at how little you actually need.
  • I like balsamic vinaigrette. So I use bolthouse farms balsamic vinaigrette. it's 30 calories for 2 TBSP but I usually only need 1.5 TBSP - I measure everything I eat. It's really yummy I love it. If I don't use those I use the Kraft Olive Oil line. My favorite is Pesto Parmegan.

Ken's lite creamy caesar, use it everyday!! Yummmm!!! 90 calories for TWO tbsp!!!! :-) It's a little high in fat being 8 grams per serving but hey I don't eat enough fat anyway.

Walden Farms = zero calorie dressings

They also make peanut butter, pancake syrup, fruit syrups, chocolate/caramel/marshmallow dip, mayo and other things. It's awesome.

Hummus! Its absolutely amazing on my spinach salads at least...

Other than that I try to use no dressing (especially if I use a stronger flavored cheesed) or red wine or balsamic vinegar.
  • I use Caesar Parmigiano Yogurt dressing.

    1 serving is 2 tbsp 30g
    calories 45
    fat 2.5g

I don't use "dressing" per say ... I use Pace Picante` Sauce since I usually eat my salad with grilled chicken. Way less calories and 0 fat.

    <3 it
  • I make my own dressing:

    Olive oil (about 1/2 cup)
    Lemon Juice (from one lemon)
    minced garlic
    salt and pepepr to taste
    Tarhagone (spelling? its a spice)
  • Mix greek yougurt with ranch seasoning! The healthiest "ranch" dressing you can get, and I think it tastes even better!

I try to stick to the basics. Olive oil & balsamic vinegar, thats it. BUT my favorite would have to be Greek Feta dressing!

(not to be mistaken with the other greek dressing by kraft)

I use Maple farms fat free. There is poppy seed and rasberry vinegerette. Both are really good. Other fat free flavors too. I eat a different dressing each day to keep a variety.

My parents make a home made dressing of vingiger with oil. For tast they add different things like onions, mustered, and some type of fruit..

Best there is. Getting to the point where I don't like other dressings.

Just found a really good and very light one. Try the Fat-Free Balsamic dressing made by Maple Grove Farms of Vermont. 15 calories per 2 tbsp. Yummy!!!
  • Lately, I have been putting a dollop of hummus on my salad. It has few calories and I love it. I also use balsamic vinegar on my salad sometimes. Most of the time, I avoid salad dressing because it sort of defeats the purpose. The less I use it, the less I want it.

You probably think this is strange, but I got the idea from my mom when I was a little girl. This is how she got us kids to eat salad. She sprinkled sugar on it! ( There was no Equal back then, but we can use it now!) It satisfies the crunchy and the sweet tooth at the same time! Try it! ;)

I make my own... Rice vinegar, honey, fresh ground ginger, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and a splash of orange juice and lemon juice... I have no idea about the measurements, but I eyeball it.... It's great on spinach salad with strawberries and mandarin oranges!!
