This is me (on the left) wearing probably a 10/12. I carry most of my weight in the belly.
"When are you due?" was what I got ALL the time:
Dec 2010, ~155-158 lbs.
...and now I'm a size 6 or a 4, depending on the clothes and the store. I'm struggling to maintain, though...haven't quite figured out my magic "maintenance" number yet...
September, 2011, ~ 135, which was my goal weight:
And then in March 2012; ~137 lbs.

I'm a size eight, and I look nothing like any of the women posting. I don't have pictures on this computer because I'm at work, but this is kind of interesting - how so many women look so different at even the same size.0

I've gained some weight in the last month from toning. My clothes are still getting looser, so I'm perfectly fine with that.
How? Last August, the way I carried my weight in my gut and other factors (PCOS, etc.) indicated to an endocrinologist that I might have Insulin Resistance (Metabolic Syndrome, pre-diabetes, Syndrome X, whatever you want to call it). I already didn't eat starches much because of another condition and overall ate healthy, but he said I had to be stricter with that, eating less sugar in every form (fruit included), basically no starch at all, and more protein. I started that right away and by the time the bloodwork came back showing I didn't have IR and the doctors were once again left with no idea what was wrong with me, I'd already lost like 10-15 pounds, so I just stuck with it.
I started PT for another condition around that time and went from virtually nonexistent muscles (I was born with hypotonic muscles and had been forced into a sedentary lifestyle from my lifelong chronic pain condition) to wee little baby muscles. Then my pain finally got in check for the first time ever and I started walking more than a few minutes and stuff, which was more than I'd been able to do previously. Came back to school in January and now live with a roomie, so I cook all my own healthy meals and have a built-in workout buddy (she had to recover from her own muscle issues). It's 2.5 miles a day walking to class, plus the yardwork I do on the side to earn money some days, plus going to the gym with my roommate or alone, plus 30DS currently. I still don't eat starch more than every now and again if roomie brings home excellent fresh wheat bread or something.0 -
I loooveee this thread. I needed this! I am 5'7" and started at a tight 14, and about 181 lbs... I am now a size 10, 160 pounds. I'd love to get down to a 6 or 8!!0

I started out at a size 16 after having my twins(babies 3 & 4). I went on a strict diet of 1200/ day and adipex. Most people don't agree with using diet pills or whatever but it helped me b/c i just couldn't control my portions on my own I needed an appetite suppressant. I know most say you gain your weight back and then some blah blah but it has been two years and I'm down 10lbs more than my last weigh in with the clinic. It has helped me keep up with my calories and exercise and it has me striving to be a better person! I currently dropped my calories back to 1200 b/c I was eating my BMR and some days over and I haven't lost anything in over a year! So I'm hoping by doing this I can lose the last 10 I want to lose or at least have my size 6's fit me without being snug or having a muffin top .
I'm doing my second round of insanity with better eating habits and a lower calorie count in hopes that I can drop some pounds/inches
Great job! You should be very proud of your accomplishments :flowerforyou:0 -

I am 5'6 started out in a size 13/14 at 181lbs. Took me 4 months to lose 30lbs and I did it by doing weight watchers alone. I was in a size 10 by that point. I then started excercising at least 3 times a weeks and have not lost any more weight but can now fit in a size 6/8. At this point I am programmed to pick the better/clean foods and exercise is a habit. Working on the last 15lbs!
Great job! You look fabulous, be proud !!! :flowerforyou:0 -
