Chop up some pineapple and eat it with the cottage cheese. Or with celery sticks. I've also used it like mayo for egg sandwhiches
  • I just eat it. Breakstones has a 100 cal cup that comes with fruit, I usually take them to work for a snack in between meals.
  • mixed with crushed/broken up pretzles.
    or
mixed with apple slices and Honey! (yes, honey does taste great with cottage cheese) and if i'm feeling frisky i'll ad some crushed walnuts!

I started adding cottage cheese to my eggs last week. I eat 1 egg, 1/8 cup cottage cheese, and some diced peppers and onions. It's so filling!

I make pie crust with it... the recipe is on

  • Good ideas! I like mine with pepper and seasoned salt or red hot sauce or green Tobasco sauce. In general I'm more of a spicy/salty person than a sweets person. Very interested to read through anyone else's spicy/salty cottage cheese suggestions.

A little food coloring and some creative friends with a camcorder and you could make your own zombie movie!

I love cottage cheese... way more than I should. It disappears from my fridge very quickly, because I'm completely content to just eat it plain :).

Favorite toppings: sriracha, pineapple, peaches, granola.
    Favorite uses: Lasagna, quiche.

I use it in place of mayo in my chicken salad, or I eat it plain :)

    1 large apple
    3-4 sticks of celery
    couple of chicken breasts
    Grapes or cherries, cut up
    salt/pepper/cayenne
    cottage cheese about 2/3 cup

    makes enough for several servings

The better question to ask would be, "What CAN'T you do with cottage cheese?"

(I don't eat much of it because I've found i'm sensitive to dairy... but I LOVE it)

    You can:

Mix it with fruit and granola or nuts

Mix it with taco spice and dip in tortilla chips

(Never add it to scrambled eggs... turns out very gross)

Add dried spinach and dip in french bread or pitas pieces

Use it in baked noodles or lasagna

    Use it in smoothies

Sprinkle with Old Bay and enjoy

Top with hot sauce and enjoy

Mix with fresh berries and eat

Mix with Pico de Gallo and enjoy

Add it to salad as a dressing

Blend with fruit and freeze in paper cups with sticks to eat tomorrow

Anything you can imagine.... almost. ;)

Love mine with pears and black pepper! so yummy!

I love mine with Black pepper also, or dry Ranch dressing mix, and kettle chips to dip with.

I look forward to my cottage cheese every day. I put fresh cut strawberries and fresh blueberries with mine. I've tried many brands of cottage cheese but my all time favorite is from Fresh & Easy and it's non-fat. A lot of the other brands that I've tried don't have the same texture as this brand. It's very good!

I love to eat it plain, but sometimes I'll mix in pineapple chunks

I always add bits of fruit...usually i cut up strawberries with a small amount of equal and add a few teaspoons in.
By itself is ok but the fruit sweetens it up some. Also good to try with is peaches and pineapple. if you buy it in a can make sure its not with syrup. Water only!

i love it plain or on toast but today i tried to make a pizza with it!!

get the thinest flat bread you can ( i used mountain rye flat bread -69cals)
then covered it with tomato paste, fresh garlic and sliced capsicum and shaved thinly sliced ham and baked it until it was crispy and yummy

and put some cottage cheese on it as the cheese it was soo yummy and ate it with a green salad
