Oops it posted twice :blushing:
I'm 5'2" my starting weight was somewhere around 190+. I started in January 2012 and lost 33 pounds in 5 months. Hit a plateau and decided to do a metabolism reset so I'm still at 158 pounds.
Set my weight loss at 1.5 lbs a week. I was doing about 2 workouts a day. DVD workouts (strength & cardio), some weight training with weight machines, walking, C2 5K workout, tennis, bike riding. Total workout time was around 2 hours a day & about 6 days a week. Portion control-weighing & measuring my food. I did eat back most of my workout calories.
What do you mean by a metabolism reset? Is that eating at maintenance?
PS- great job!!
That's eating your TDEE. Total Daily Energy Expenditure= BMR + your daily energy (workout calories, housework calories, working calorie, etc). Yes that would be your maintenance calories but for some people who have been a very low calories (below BMR) find that when they first start to eat TDEE they actually gain weight until the body realizes it now is going to continue to receive theses calories all the time. Metabolism reset usually last 8 weeks at which time you cut about 15% of your TDEE to start the weight loss again. The Eat More to Weigh Less concept. Thought I'd give it a try since I had been at a stand still for a month.0 -

No pictures yet... I'm 5'3", started at 290 in January 2012, now at 236. My loss have mostly been through changing my eating habits. I've been at 1600 calories daily. I weigh my food, portion control, increased my good foods and decreased my bad foods. Still have a daily fun treat.1

I'm 5'3.5, which some consider to be short and I've lost 50 lbs to date. I did it by eating less and moving more. And of course I couldn't have done it without the support of my wonderful MFP friends. There is a progress pic in my profile.0

5'0'', 216 was my heaviest, and that was the day I went into labor. I ended up sticking around 209-206, even though I breastfed for a year. Got down to 196 or so in January of this year, and got fed up in may. I'm at 181.2 now. Woohoo! I can finally see a bit of my collar bones again. Before my children, I weighed 114. Not sure how well this picture is going to show up, so... First picture is 206 to 185, a year apart. The bottom picture is today, at 181.2.

Hi there! I'm also 5'2", and in about a year and a half I went from 189 lbs (size 14/16) to 158 lbs (size 10). Trying to lose the last layer of fat over these abs, but I did P90X, Insanity, Turbo Jam, and Turbo Fire. Yep, I'm a BeachBody junkie.
