Hey everyone!
Good morning everyone! I’ve been using the app for a while, but wasn’t aware there was a community feature. Anyway, glad to be here. Since July 10th I’ve lost 22.7lbs, coming from 280. I’ve always had self-image issues, from the time I was 16 to 25 I stayed at a steady 185-198. However, when the pandemic hit I let myself…

Done this before but need encouragement to start again.
Hi! I have been a member of Myfitnesspal in one form or fashion for years! I have had great results at times but since suffering a few losses in my family I have lost my mojo in a couple of ways. I gained one hundred pounds in the past 8 years. I let 63 pounds slip up during COVID. Now, I am in the place that my hips hurt…

Hello!
I am trying to get serious about weight loss and tracking my calories. I really dislike tracking everything and have given up many times in the past. I’m hoping to change that! I would like to lose 40-45 pounds. Would love a support group of friends. Shellc1971

I crush my workouts after refeed days?
I know some do a refeed day when eating in deficit, but I eat at maintenance or a couple hundred cals above. And every so often I eat 500+ calories and while my stomach feels incredibly uncomfortable and I feel like a fat pos, I end up crushing my workouts the days following and feel less burnt out. Anyone else have this?…

Working It Off
I'm down 35 as of today with 6 to go. I was looking to go from 261 to 220 (42 lbs.) before my 60th birthday (Oct. 30). It will be a photo finish. :-)

What is a good balance between protein, carb, fat, to recomp the body?
Edited: Did some more research and found this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R0RhA2onJQ19UI20vWIo3mnbdRdZSVZaqcxZ-j14FVs/edit#gid=1900560339 Basically, my upper body is very lean compare to my waist area. I am trying to figure out what the best distribution of protein, carb, and fat I need to gain muscle while…

I was unintentionally undereating...
Hey everyone! I just wanted to share how in an attempt to lose weight quickly and tone up, I was undereating A LOT. My normal, not-on-a-diet calorie intake is around 2,000 give or take. But I was eating 1,200 calories for a week (net calories), and being super active (I worked out every day of the past week for at LEAST 30…

Macros: how many grams per kg of body weight?
Good afternoon people! Based on your experience, how many grams of carbs, protein and fat per kilo of body weight during bulk phase? And how many grams of carbs, protein and fat per kilo of body weight during cut phase? Thank you very much, Matteo.

Guess who's back...back again...
Well that was a fun 5 years. Not away from the app, just the weight loss journey! Brief back story: Had an operation in 2001 that meant my fairly active self was unable to do any real exercise for a few years, cue 70lbs+ weight gain, followed by the terrible self-esteem and all that horrible stuff, the fad diets, the…

Because its been so long!!
Welp.. here I am again - Original weight 495ish - meh rounding up 500lbs. Currently - I keep bouncing between 290-305 - and frankly I know its all about my eating patterns and level of exercise. This time - I am much older (45+) and I know all too well that if I keep going this way I will end up like my brothers and…

Best macros for weight loss
I'm tired of fad diets that drastically reduce carbs, fat, sugar or whatever. They don't work for me ... I get really cranky and cheat. I find I am more satiated and less likely to cheat when I eat a balanced diet. I read online that the most effective approach for many people is eating a range of 5 to 15% carbs, 25 to 35%…

Body measurements
Hey all I’m still getting used to figuring out all that is included in this app. I’m not seeing anywhere that I can track body measurements like inches lost/gained.. is there a place to do that in MFP? If not, does anyone have a good suggestion on an app you use to measure your progress? I love having more than one visual…

I'm back after a decade and could do with some friends!
It's so daunting starting all over again. It's been so long since I've used MFP and it all feels shiny and new again. I'm 31 from England, I need to lose over half of my body weight and I would love some friends

Getting (re) started
Lost almost 40 pounds on WW prior to 2019 and now find myself with half of it back. Pretty happy I’ve found MFP again. Logged consistently for the past 2 weeks. Looking to add walking and Pickleball in for exercise. Got my Apple Watch counting steps. Any suggestions out there for success??

Using Semaglutides is cheating or not?
Since this is the debate page, I figured I'd ask the masses here how they feel about someone or themselves using Semaglutides for weight loss such as Wegovy, Ozempic or other Compound Semaglutide forms. I've found in my personal circle that there is a mixed feeling in this as some people consider it "cheating" and some say…

Down 100+lb and wanting to motivate others
Hello 👋 my name is Maggie and I've struggled with weight, feeling good enough and not being an active participant in my own life. I've had a hard life and spent most of it overweight, depressed and lonely. I moved from Chicago to Seattle in 2020 to start fresh. In january 2022 I looked at myself a 38 almost 39 years old…

Boxing
It would be great if boxing could be added. I have to add other workouts that I do while boxing but there is no boxing choice at all.

I need motivational and inspirational friends
As the tittle says, I need motivational and inspirational friends. Please add me and I'll add back. For me its easier to train and make progress when I have friends with same goals.

My story!
I know I’m probably not as big as most people on here, but I’m on this app to better myself and just be happier overall with my appearance. For reference, I’m a 5’4 woman. In May 2022 I was at my highest weight of about 155. I decided I wanted to lose weight, and lost 10 pounds without any calorie counting or exercise! I…

New to MyFitnessPal!!!
Hey, my name is Amber. I’m 25 and have struggled with being overweight since I was very young, like 9 or younger even. My weight has fluctuated over the years; at the lowest I was 160. I’ve reached this weight twice, once when I was very very sick and struggling with anorexia in tandem with another severe mental illness,…

How long to go from 30% (or 23%) body fat to 15%?
This question has been answered a couple times, but not within my numbers (as far as I can tell). I'm 31 years old, 6ft, and I currently weigh 202 lbs (started at around 220 earlier this year). I'm starting to get more serious about my weight loss and general health, but I'm curious what a realistic timeline for my goals…

Just thought I’d say hi!
Hi all, I hurt myself back in November 2022 and have spend the better part of a year doing everything I can to get myself back to where I was. First stop was healing the injury and strengthening the muscles around it. Now it’s build on that! With the injury came the addition of 20lbs on my frame, so I’m hoping to get that…

I stopped anti-depressants and I'm losing weight super fast - need advice
I am male, 35, going to the gym 5 days a week. At the gym I do 30 minutes of core exercises followed by one hour of Pull, Push or Legs. I walk to and from the gym every day, 40 minutes each way, around 10,000 steps daily. I don't drink alcohol. Last month I was shocked that my weight was 84kg, with a Body Fat percentage of…
