So happy I did this!
For the longest time I was stuck at 135lbs..I dropped to 131 during a brief Atkins diet but once I quit that it came back. I started Jillian mochaels body revolution and was determined to eat hardly anything and work my *kitten* off to get down. Needles to say in a month the scale never budged and I was grumpy and hungery…

I have some total noobish questions
First off I've never dieted in my life (well, briefly when I was like 18 but I don't count that). I did have an eating disorder (bulimia) but that was 20 years ago and is no longer an issue. I've never counted calories either, and only this month started actually keeping track what I put into my mouth (which is working out…

Hi so I'm kinda new to EMTWL and I was just wondering how many calories exactly do you recommend eating exactly??? I don't weight myself because it usually just discourages me and weight fluctuates on so many conditions anyways. I have a bit of a tummy I really want to lose within the next few months but I need some help…

TDEE Approach for People with Varied Activity Levels?
The nature of my work requires that I have very varying activity levels. I am primarily at a desk job, but some days to much more walking than others. This also leads me to be able to work out every other day, or two days in a row with a gap, and so on... Are there folks out there with a similar situation, and how do you…

still would like to add exercise cals
Hi guys, I see some people only add 1 calorie for their exercise because those cals are included. Others I see are still adding the total cals burned for your workout.....how do you go about doing that? What if that is a different amount every other day??

How long does it take to see results?
For so long I have been eating 1200 cals a day. I workout 4 to 5 days a week and my job requires me to be on my feet a lot! About 2 weeks ago, I started following the IPOARP. I am now eating around 1600 cals a day. I haven't noticed any change on the scales yet. How long does it take to start noticing results? I know to…

Protein Consumption
Hi all, I struggle to get all the recommended protein in every day. I have my macros set at 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat. Unless I consume protein shakes, I almost can never reach that protein goal. I am also trying to be as consistent as possible. I've been consuming approximately 1900 calories a day for the past month…

Week 3
Hi all :) Ok so i've been eating at my BMR (1950cals) for 3 weeks now, eating back my exercise cals as well. Prior to this is was on the MFP recommended 1680cals. I understand that it will take a while for me to see the scales moving in the right direction, and I really wasn't too worried (especially as for the 1st 2 weeks…

Progress Pics
Lost almost 40 lbs and got down past my goal weight (which was originally 120). I started trying to tweak my new body and get some definition. These were taken back in March of last year. I weighed 110 lbs. I was running and doing workouts like the Shred. My workout pants were a size medium I think.... It's taken me almost…

Portions too small...
I was part of the hundreds out there that fell into the "don't eat this EVER" group and "eat THIS much.." So how is it that I get here and MFP tracker tells me that I'm not eating enough calories?? Well of course I am overjoyed, but I am not going to raid the refrigerator or the cabinet. At least I have a place where I can…

What does Dr. Fuhrman say about hypothyroidism ?
Hello to all. I've been eating the green drinks that Dr Furhman suggested and started having such severe symptoms of hypothyriodism I couldn't function. (Yes I separated the medication from the drinks by 4 hours) I looked on his website and can not find one word about hypothyroidims and soy; broccoli; cabage ; spinach and…

It really works, keep going!
Just wanted to chime in with my 2 cents. I started MyFitnessPal in February 2012 weighing in at 210 lbs. Loving food as much as I do, I balked at MFP's recommended 1200 calories a day. I knew instinctively I would be miserable and fail; I also knew I would never be able to continue eating so low for the rest of my life. I…

Lifting question
At the end of last year I decided I wanted to spend some time lifting weights (mostly because of this board). At first my trainer started me out 1-2 days per week and I would do some cardio a couple of other days per week. I am now lifting 3 days per week with my trainer, but our sessions are only about 30-40 minutes long.…

TDEE recalculation
