Estimating Activity Level
Sorry for all of my posts in here lately, but I have a lot of questions since I'm truly giving EM2WL a shot. I estimated my activity level as moderate (3-5 hrs per week) because I work out 5 days per week for 30-60 minutes, and I walk everywhere since I'm a carless grad student. According to that, my TDEE is 2319 so I'm…

EM2WL Friends..
Please post how many calories you eat as well as your stats (SW, CW, fat loss using this method). I need a little encouragement today. Plus I'm just curious *nosy* laugh Thanks heart (I had this post on the message boards but didn't get much of a response.)

Net Calories & EM2WL philosophy
There is still a bit of confusion about my net calories based upon the EM2WL philosophy. If my NET calories on MFP drop below my BMR, should I consume the difference? BMR: 1462 TDEE 2267

Just starting to eat more calories... reset necessary?
Hello, I am new here and am learning so much reading all the past posts. I have been an avid weight watchers follower/point counter for years, but ive gained a few pounds i cant seem to lose. I work out hard 6x week (HRM reads between 600 and 750 burned each day) and ive come realize that i am not eating enough to sustain…

Reset Question
If I'm still gaining weight, does it mean I should continue the reset? The weight gain should eventually taper off, right? Just curious as to when I should start to eat at a deficit. I'm in week 9 of my reset, btw. Thanks.

HELP!!! I am new to EM2WL and I have gained weight!!!
Hello Everyone. I started my healthy lifestyle journey at the end of November 2012. I was eating at 1200 calories for 3 weeks and lost about 6 lbs. Christmas holidays came around and I gained 5 lbs back, yuk, I know. So on January 7, 2012 I started back on 1200 calories because this is what MFP told me that I needed in…

Extremely nervous, but here I go...
Hi All, I have been on MFP for quite a while off and on. Since becoming active again this last time I have been kind of trying to find out where I fit. I'm ultra conservative I guess and what people would consider old-fashioned so communicating with people I don't know over the Internet freaks me out a bit. That being…

Three weeks on EM2WL and no change in weight/measurements
Hi all! I could really use some feedback! I have figured my BMR at around 1400, TDEE at 2100, with a cut of between 10% and 15% puts me at 1800 a day for my calorie goal. As of today, I’ve been on EM2WL for three weeks; I’ve averaged about 1765 per day. I have been weighing every day (because I just can’t NOT weigh…

My reset -- getting antsy to start my cut
I could not tell you how many calories I averaged in the year before my reset. Some days it was high due to fast food, other days it was low due to no hunger because I was basically not moving the majority of the day. In the 2.5 months before I started my reset, I attempted to diet at about 1,600 calories a day. I lost…

Insanity and activity level
I'm in my 2nd week of Insanity, after having completed p90x. I've kept my activity level at moderate with a cut between 15-20% (was 20%). Most of the rest of the day I'm sitting or standing. I now have a heart rate monitor which says 250-300 calories burned for the cardio days (130 on the cardio recovery day). I was…

Newbie Here
I am 43 years old and weigh 166 pounds. I am an EMT and a Medical Assistant. During my 48 hour shifts on the ambulance we cannot workout. But I do wear a bodymedia and took my average for the past month. I still need to loose 35-45 pounds and tone up my muscles. This is my plan so far but I am not sure if my numbers are…

New to this..
I am 5ft 6, and 211lb. I was living on 1500 cals, and the weight was coming off, but pretty slowly. Have now upped my calories to 1800. Today was my first day. Anyone about the same size as me doing this? What sort of results do you get? I am a little scared I will gain, or just stay the same.

How to Exclude Additional Exercise Calories?
Is there really no way to have Calories Remaining not include additional calories from exercise? I just switched to using a TDEE calculator (thank god and thanks to this group!), so I don't want my calories remaining to be increased by the calories burned exercising. Since I really am not into doing this math manually or…

Scared to eat more
Before pregnancy I lost 40lbs, then gained it back and some more :( But for a few months before I became pregnant the weight was creeping back on, which I'm guessing was because I was only eating 1,200cals per day and couldn't keep it up. Now I know eating more sounds like the best option because I want this weight loss to…

What should I eat?
Hola All, So I'm biting the insecurity bullet and bumping my calories all the way to where they need to be. What do you all eat to make sure you are getting the necessary calories, but are still being healthy? Sorry for all the questions lately--I'm really trying to get myself on track. Thanks!

new to the whole 'eating more to weigh less' deal!
hi everyone  i've recently stumbled upon a post talking about how important it is to eat enough in order to lose weight. Then i was told about this group and am so happy to see it!! i've been looking for friends who also eat more instead of just hitting about 1200 calories a day, since i am nervous about doing this…

Eating More and Now Super Hungry
I was eating 1200 calories and working out like mad for a long time. I didn't lose any weight for 6 plus months. I increased my calories to 1500-1600 (sometimes 1700) about a month ago. Weight started coming off, yay! While I was on 1200 calories I felt satiated, but now, eating more, I'm hungry ALL the time. I eat very…

Newbie - Slowly increase cals or jump straight in?
Hi everyone! I'm new to this eat more to weigh less thing although I have been told about it numerous times but I was reluctant to give it a go... I joined MFP in Sept 2012 and lost 7kg (14lbs) on 1200-1300 cals/day... pre-christmas I decided to increase to 1400 and was still losing weight and everything was fine but then…

Clueless
I feel like I'm in EM2WL pre-school and I have no idea where to begin. I went to the scooby calculator and read thru the site and tried to see if there was something that would click in my addled brain, but to no avail. All I know are my stats, my BMR, MY TDEE, ect. But now what? What do I go home and eat? How do I start a…

Exercise
I have been lifting weights and I am getting stronger. I started with Kelly Coffey-Meyer DVDs and started with 5-8 pound and not completing all the sets and reps and am now up to 8-10 pounds and I can do all the reps and sets. So I know I am getting stronger. I can even walk a mile at 3.0-3.3 on the treadmill without…

Too much cardio? Bad cardio?
I'm confused about the amount of cardio I should be doing. I do cardio 3 days per week and I do HIIT with weights 2 days per week. My TDEE is 2660. I try to eat 2000 calories per day. Is that okay?

Protein macro as a vegetarian
Hey everyone! I'm a vegetarian...but it seems that everyday on my food diary, I'm WAY over on carbs, and nowhere near protein. Even when I don't even eat bread or any other "carby" things that day. I'm eating all the things that vegetarians should eat for protein...nuts, legumes, food combining, etc...I know how to be one…

HEY GUYS!!! PROGRESS PICTURES!!!
I've been MIA from the community pages, but still EM2WL!!!! I've been working my butt off for the last 4 months, and it's paid off. These pics reflect 10 lbs of weight loss, but to me it looks like a lot more. Lost a ton of inches and still going. I just finished Turbo Fire in December, still drinking my Shakeology, and…

Questions from a Newbie
So, I posted yesterday about eating 1200-1400 and exercising somewhere around 15 hours a week for the past 4-5 months. I decided to try this since low-cal was not working. I upped my caloric intake to 1500, but I ended up being sooo hungry! It was kind of nice to actually feel really hungry again :) I ended up eating more…
