I really really wanted something sweet tonight but I can't handle too much sweet. I opted for a cheap version of banana cream pie. It was fantastic. Lol

Exercise tips
I am struggling a lot with activity. The past few months have been really hard on me, physically, mentally and emotionally. I am moving cross-country to start a new life at the end of December, I've gone through a divorce this year, and there's just a lot going on that's been distracting and tripping me up. I noticed that…

Sweet Cravings emerging 8 months post op
I had VSG back in March. Since January when I started losing weight before surgery I've tried to limit my sweets. And when I do have something sweet I've tried to make it a no sugar added version. But as we all know, there is sugar in MANY foods even though we don't think of them as "sweet". I've tried to limit those for…

Hair Loss
So I knew I'd lose hair after surgery, but I'm at the point where I'm almost bald now. I'm getting in my protein, and feeling/ looking better body wise, but also feeling very depressed over how I look. I've looked into wigs and am thinking it's my only option. How has anyone else handled this?

Gastric Bypass Results
I was wondering if I could see weight loss progress with people who have had Gastric Bypass? It would be nice to see how much weight is lost each month ( I know everyone is different, but I would like to get an ideal ). I would also like to know what everyone is doing to tone up the extra skin.

VSG this Thursday! Anyone have last minute 2nd thoughts?
Mildly freaking out internally about Thursday! Wondering if this is still the right decision to end years of unsuccessful attempts at maintenance and yo-yo'ing or if there's something else I haven't tried that is the magic key. Going in, I knew the answer was that this is the right decision because nothing else has ever…

what did you have (or wish you had) for your first week?
My surgery is scheduled for 11/16, I am having the sleeve. Despite all of my research and prep, I feel totally overwhelmed and not at all prepared. So I'm wondering: what did you all have ready for that first week? How many protein shakes/powders did you have? What liquids did you tolerate the best, especially if you had…

able to eat fruit, nuts, yogurt, meat, ...but salad? :-O
I have recently discovered that I can eat nuts (cashews, pistachio) without a problem, even managed to eat popcorn. Still cannot eat meat without some saucy side to help it move through. But it is getting easier. I am 5mo post RNY. I recently tried salad of mixed iceburg with romaine. This I chewed well, however later when…

Favor request of anyone who has had the excess tummy skin removed
I am guardian of my mentally impaired sister. Before I got guardianship, she was talked into having gastric bypass. She isn't capable of understanding the surgery or what WLS patients have to do to make weight loss successful long term so although she initially lost about 90 pounds before she "re-stretched her stomach"…

Woohoo! Finally got my surgery date!!!
Stress is over. The date is Nov. 23rd. There was an insurance mix up but all is straightened out. I actually got the approval by mail before the surgeons office got it on their computer. Now I can feel like I can get truly prepared. Well as prepared as I can be.
