I'm a single mom to a 19-month-old as well! I was on my weight-loss journey when I first got pregnant. I had lost 40 lbs, got pregnant and gained 40 lbs, and am now back to my pre-preg weight, but I still have about 50 to lose! I find the best time to work out, honestly, is after she goes to bed. I just do Jillian Michaels…

You look great! We have similar starting points and are the same height; you're a great inspiration!

Way to go! I'm still at 193.6 - down just over 30 from when I started! Looking to hopefully lose another 6-7 before the month is over!

Thank you, all. I love this website sooooo much! It's a great motivator to know that others are out there rooting for me as well (complete strangers in addition to family and friends). :)
-
Woohoo! Keep up the good work! You can do this.

You look GREAT! My 30th birthday is a huge motivation for me as well! Keep up the good work. :)

^^this exactly!

Don't give up! You've won the first battle of getting started, don't let the second battle of continuing throw you off. I hit a plateau of sorts in September, and the scale only moved 2 lbs all month. I stayed the course and kept eating healthily and exercising regularly and now, I've already lost 2.5 lbs so far in October…

I'm still here! Congratulations on your progress! Not much to say about me, though. I'm still trucking along. Just hit 30 lbs lost yesterday . . . so, that's pretty exciting!

Congratulations! That is the best feeling, isn't it!!

I feel the same way, sometimes. I have a friend I went out with a few weeks ago that was going on and on and on about how much I lost, and when I told her the actual amount, she was SO SHOCKED that it wasn't more. It's still nice to hear, though :). Congrats on your journey; 11 lbs is nothing to scoff at, for sure. It's…

I have a pair of "inspiration pants" I have hanging on my wall. I try them on every once in a while to see how far up my legs I can get them. lol.

Thank you! You truly are an inspirational friend!

Thank you for your replies! I will definitely look up that link! I am 5' 4", and my wrist is 6.5" . . . so large-framed, I guess. So, my goal of 140-145 is okay. :)

no one?

That IS awesome! Makes me want to get a trainer!

Well, not quite to that extent, fortunately. I lost my job in April and lost all motivation for anything (depression and all that - also, my employer provided my gym membership). I stopped caring what I ate and if I worked out, but I only gained back 3 lbs . . . so, I guess I was lucky, considering what I ate.…

I haven't seen anything, but I was wondering the same thing!

I just started week 6 this week . . . I started probably 8 or more weeks ago because I've been re-doing weeks that are particularly hard. This is THE BEST program for a beginner! I remember huffing and puffing through the first 60 seconds, now I'm going 8+ minutes just fine! You can do it, too! Congrats and keep up the…

It seems we are the few and the proud! LOL. I've adjusted my calories (again), am REALLY focusing on getting 30% protein, and am starting Zumba once a week. I'm hoping this will keep things going . . . I'm still kind of on this plateau, and it's been so frustrating to me! lol. Last month, I lost 8 lbs; this month, I've…

I'm on week 6 of the couch to 5k program, and I try to do some strength training 1-2 times a week. I used to do Zumba and Body Jam classes when I first started exercising, and I'm going to be starting a new Zumba class at the local community center this week also.
-
I've been known to do this, too, and have the same problem!
-
Request sent! I log every day and we have similar goals. :)

Hi! I'm hoping this group doesn't fizzle out like my other groups seem to have. My name is Lindsay. I started out at 224 - the heaviest I've ever been - in January of this year. My current weight is 197 (+/- 1 lb ALL FRIGGIN MONTH). My goal weight is 140-145 by my 30th birthday in April 2013 OR my trip to Cancun in June…

Those schedule-busters always get me! Congrats on being mostly good! Glad you're back. I was getting lonely here. lol

hahahahahahaha

Well, I've been feeling behind because I've been going "slower" than the program. I'm currently halfway through week 5, and completely amazed at how long I can jog and not stop. I love it!

I'm sorry, I can't really relate. I just bought a Polar FT4 a few months ago, and the strap doesn't bother me. I just line the strap up with the bottom of my sports bra, and I don't notice it. Hope that helps!

I've lost an average 2-year-old and some baby back ribs. LOL. Two-year-olds can be hard to keep track of . . . ;)

The change is definitely noticeable; congratulations! You look great!
