  • I think it's fine personally. It's yummy and healthy. Some people think avoiding gluten (which is a type of protein found in wheat) is beneficial to your health, but IMO that only applies for people with celiacs/intolerance. I think whole wheat bread is better, b/c it has more fiber. This way your digestive system has time…
  • Low bone density, thinner bones, lower musculature and a tendency to store fat viscerally
  • A slice of fried bacon with the grease poured off and drained is 42 calories. If you eat the grease along with the bacon, a slice would be 110 calories. Edit: you probably have thick-cut bacon, which is why each slice is coming out to be 55 calories. This count is assuming you are removing as much grease as possible.
  • I make one every other day! Usually just dump in whatever veggies are on hand along with mirepoix. Todays was: diced onion, carrots, celery, sauteed in a tsp of EVOO. Threw in two diced bella mushrooms, a diced roma tomato, and some water and chicken stock. brought to a simmer, and for flavor, added seaweed, dried shrimp,…
  • Took a peek at your diary and I think your egg counter might be off. 5 extra large eggs is 400 cals, and I'm pretty sure you aren't using 555 cals worth of frying oil.

  • Size: 0-2 Weight: 100-110
  • What's wrong with being ugly?
  • I think you're doing enough. At a certain point, peer pressure will kick in, and like any teenage girl, she's going to want to take care of herself and lose weight. Just support her, and let her know how much you love her.
  • Yayy I'd love to talk about my day. Drank borscht and caramel brulee latte (a bit too sweet for me), and black friday shopped for seven hours straight in the state's biggest mall. Bought a white V-neck, a nude tank top, pearl bracelets, a cube necklace, cowl-necked sweater, black jeggings, a knit beret, a nulon bag, and…
  • There's a kid in my class called Mordecai Mordzynski.
  • AE sizes run pretty accurately, if not a bit large :) GL with the weight!
  • For me, it's habit. I used to watch Big Bang Theory while eating dinner Thursday nights. Now, everytime BBT comes on, I feel like I have to eat, even if i'm not hungry. There are a lot more "eat" cues like that, cues i'm trying to stop.
  • paint my nails, braid friendship bracelets, and try my hardest not to think of eating.
  • the effects are gradual. eating ANY amount has laxative effects, because the sweetener is indigestible and thus comes out of u in the same form it went in. It's not like eat 5 and you'll be fine, but eat 6 and you're in for a date with the toilet. The more you eat, the more of a laxative effect. As for how many you'll have…
  • thawed or cooked it should weigh the same. the packaging weight is the frozen weight (the weight at which it is transported).
  • i'm inclined to agree with your dieticians. Think of your body as refrigerator, storing food. Excessively overweight people have all their shelves stuffed, and can live for a long time without going to the grocery store (eating more). Skinnier people have less in the fridge, and thus have to go to the grocery store more…
  • without reading the article, for me, this is true. for one week over the summer i slept over a friends' house, and her family ate dinner very early (6pm). We hung out all night and didn't eat. At the end of the week, I realized I'd eaten about 400 calories less every day without effort. i think it all has to do with…
  • next time, order a shrimp basket appetizer and a house salad with no dressing. Then nibble and feel superior while the rest of the establishment gorges on 2000+ cal meals. (jk)
  • I get that too! when i'm eating out with my friends, if they order dessert, i always catch myself fishing for complements (e.g OMG i'm so fat, and then they'll go: OMG no ur sooo skinny, yadayada standard girl talk) so that i'll feel better about pigging out. Have yet to find a solution :( maybe wear really tight pants?
  • Yup. There is no way a morbidly obese person can starve to death if they're receiving the appropriate nutritional supplements.
  • I think dads just have trouble conveying their emotions. We're in the same boat (divorced parents, fathers not around much). Once at a dinner with like 15 other ppl at the table, someone commented that I looked so pretty. My dad was like, noo omfg she gained so much weight. He made me stand up and turn around so he could…
  • Yes, but MFP overestimates your calories burned by a lot. Everyone does something different. I just log 1/2 my exercise (eg. if i run for 40 min, i'll log 20).
  • I fast for 24 hrs every weekend and its not as hard as some may think. Eg. Have lunch saturday at 2pm and then skip dinner. If i sleep late than i can eat sunday at 2. Many of my relatives who are doctors practice this, to give their digestive systems a break. It also saves quite a bit of money fr me haha. Key is to not…
  • Yeah, I'm not too big on salad either, but I still manage to have vegetarian days. Here's what I ate today, Hope you'll find something you like. Breakfast: Steel cut oatmeal with brown sugar and milk Snack: Greek Yogurt with Frozen peaches Lunch: WHole wheat toast with cilantro guacamole Tomato omlette Snack: Watermelon…
  • Chicken salad! Chop up some cooked chicken breast, apples, tomato and avocado. Drizzle in lemon juice and a bit of olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and cilantro. Then top the whole thing with plain yogurt. I like to do this with greek yogurt. Soo good, soo filling, and you don't even miss the mayo.
  • Yes! Breads, rice and pasta, come to mama! Whole grain's chewier anyway :)
  • oh lord. the world isn't ready to see me in a string bikini
  • then take him out to Johnny Rockets for fries and a milkshake
  • Yeah, I'm not such a big fan of lettuce either either. But I like watercress, flat cabbage, zucchini, eggplant, onions, and mushrooms. There are plenty of awesome veggies outside of the standard lettuce, tomato, cucumber and salad greens.
