  • Welcome! This site is super supportive and I feel like it makes me accountable too, which are the two things a lot of us need! I have recently made my diary available to keep me honest... I had more weight than you to lose (started at 248, now at 194, goal is around 165 hopefully!) but thanks in part to this site I've been…
  • feel free to add me, I just "re-committed" on Monday after plateauing and losing/gaining same 5 to 7 lbs for the past year... I am sort of looking at it as a fresh start.... i.e. I have 35 lbs to lose now, instead of having 35 lbs MORE to go... if that makes any sense!! Anyway, good luck to you, you can do it, and congrats…
  • me too, my own fault, I do well for 2 weeks then fall off the wagon for the next... Vacations, parties, etc etc... I keep gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. Gotta get motivated!! Good luck to you, you can do it :)
  • i'm with Angel... try reducing your sodium. I know it says daily goal is 2500, but that is sort of a lot... I find that on weeks I stay under 2000 instead, I usually have better weight loss. People with high blood pressure actually have to stay under 1600, which is even harder, but even though I DON'T have high BP, I aim…
  • yum.. these sound great, thanks for the recipe! I will be trying them soon!
  • sounds like you made some good choices!! I went on vaca recently and gained 4 lbs over 11 days but managed to get it off within 1 week... so even if you gained, you'll get it off right away :) good luck!
  • OH I forgot to mention.. I get fruit smoothies on the mornings I need to eat while working and add vanilla whey protein powder. Yum!
  • Hi! I've been Veg for like 15 years and struggled for a while too. Greek Yogurt is great, usually around 15 g per serving. I also eat a lot of black beans and Quinoa. Also, i've started eating something called Quorn... it's made out of mycoprotein (comes from the cell wall of mushroom I think). I HATE mushrooms but this…
  • I don't have any idea, but i'm curious, so i'm going to "bump" and see what responses you get. Good luck and good for you for trying something new!

  • I just planted seeds for Spaghetti squash, can't wait to try this recipe :)
  • I forgot to report last week :( This week weight 192.4 :) Good job everyone!
  • i've been giving myself little rewards every 10 pounds or so... one was a trip to Target (I know, sounds silly, but I live in Vermont and there is no Target here!!) and another was a new Patriots T-shirt from Victoria's secret... But i'm curious to know what everyone else says... I haven't set my reward for my ultimate…
  • I have chronic headaches and migraines and I started going every month to get a therapeutic (deep tissue) massage. I have definitely seen an improvement... Plus my therapist KNOWS when i've got something going on... Yesterday when I went, I meant to tell her that i'm having a problem with a "bicep tendonitis" according to…

  • Hey! i'm in New England too (Vermont) and I just started my pepper and tomato seedlings last weekend, so excited! I was looking at new stuff to try this year, I bought some seeds for Spaghetti Squash because everyone here says it's pretty good.. also another kind, I think it's called Delicata or something like that. I…
  • I don't think it's a "cop out" or anything... I prefer to call it "realism" :) Everyone is different, and knowing yourself is half the battle here. Feel free to add me, i'm always looking for motivational friends! Good luck, you can do it :) We ALL can!
  • I TRY to weigh in just twice a week but we all know how that goes. If you can't limit yourself, don't beat yourself up. I made a very healthy veggie stew earlier this week and ate it for lunch two days in a row. very few calories but about 800 mg of salt per serving. I weighed myself the second night I ate it and was very…
  • Weekends ARE tough. What i've tried doing lately is working out pretty soon after waking up so that I don't keep procrastinating and end up NOT exercising. Then, i'm in a better frame of mind, and I feel like I don't WANT to eat all of the sweets or sugar or junk because I know i've already worked out, and I don't want to…
  • try ibuprofen (400 mg with food) and an ice pack or cold compress... it will help to ease tension. Make sure it covers your temples, where your pain is... Good luck :(
