  • Daiya is the brand you want to look for. Their non-dairy cheeses are great! They are also made from minimal ingredients. Trader Joe's carries the best non-dairy cream cheese with the best price but there are many brands for cream cheese and sour cream, etc. Non-dairy yogurts are great too and you can find them in all kinds…
  • Does your trainer have an opinion on your current situation?
  • I really don't want college classes to start back up this week...stupid education making me a more informed person and all.
  • Far too many unfortunately.
  • Wearing cute 60's style dresses! And wear a bathing suit without needing to wear shorts too.
  • LucianaMilk--- Unhealthy food is cheap because it is precisely that --cheap food. Healthy foods have more of the "real" things that your body needs and those cost more to make than than the junk that is mainly produced by corn products. We understand quality in cars and other items- food is no different you get what you…
  • Welcome and congratulations on both your impending nuptials and your new healthy lifestyle! This site is great and full of great people!
  • Whatever works for you--do it!
  • I get the majority of my pants including work out pants at Old Navy. I haven't bought "Zumba type" pants there in a while so I am not sure what they carry currently but it should be worth a look.
  • Look back fondly on the time that you had with your mom. Don't beat yourself up over the "mistakes" or indulgences just commit now to doing what you need to do and start all over.
  • What a positive attitude from (I am assuming) a non-vegetarian. Nice to see that Tofurky can be enjoyed by all! I love everything Tofurky makes, that I know of anyway.
  • You've got to do what works for YOU.
  • The books are, as expected, better. But! The pace of the movies finally matched that of the books at the end of 4 then veered off again to a less dark place but came back in 7.1. I wish they had made them all as good as 7.1 but I still re-watch them all anyway. Even if you skip 5 and 6, 7.1 is worth watching and I am sure…
  • When I am really on track I have one meal that exceeds usual calorie, carb, fat or sugar limitations a week. (This being said, I have not been very "on track" recently.) Anyway, it has always worked for me in the past because it's something to look forward to and breaks the routine up a little. This being said I always try…
  • Although I always have been into weight loss with the primary goal of health I must say I am almost as swayed by fashion. I have always loved the cute, stylish clothes and am still working on being able to wear all of the things I want. It is nice to know that I am not alone. For me it's the retro, Jackie O. style that I…
  • wow I wouldn't have thought about the reverse version...super interesting.
  • Yes! This happens to me when I do badly. It must prove that we are beginning to change what our bodies are used to and they are not used to unhealthy food or overeating anymore.
  • welcome! and good luck!
  • I am only 5 foot one and my "rock bottom" was weighing in at the doctor's office at 214 lbs in 2007. Since then I have slowly turned it all around and got down to164lbs. I am still working on my ultimate goal, of course. It is a long (and winding) road but you can do it! We are all in it together.
  • This link should help- http://eatthis.womenshealthmag.com/content/7-best-cheeses The cheeses are listed on left hand side in red I was reading the Super Market Eat This Not That book and it had this article I don't even eat cheese but thought that it was a particularly informative page
  • Don't kill yourself over it. Just exercise, eat healthy nutritious food, eat when you are hungry and stop before you are overfull, drink plenty of water and you should do well.
  • Do the best you can but be careful wearing clothes that are too lose, you may become over-comfortable and allow yourself to slip up too often.
  • I'm thinking it must include the whole meal The appetizer part looks pretty extensive they even have the add extra sauces broken down What sides were you looking for specifically? The salad and the bread sticks are listed as appetizers.
  • I found it really easy when I had a desk job. Now that I am free of the desk it is more difficult but still definitely possible. I make it a rule to have 2 cups with every meal, any break at work or any snack and knock out around 3 with a work out.

  • Some moms are awful for this. As an overweight child I had a particularly difficult time dealing with a thin mother who wanted me to be the same. I know now that it was out of general concern for my health and happiness, but at the time her attempts to (as you said) micromanage my every move only made me fell horrible…
  • Down to the skivvies takes some courage (either time!) Congrats!
  • I find the same time of day difficult. Try doing anything to keep your mind occupied. After a day at work you may be exhausted but anything simple (like laundry or paperwork, etc) to keep your mind off of food will help tremendously. Your body has learned at this point that sitting in front of the tv means that it needs to…
  • "...in a preventive health role, I have come to the point in my life that I must practice what I preach, so to speak" I am studying to be a dietitian and feel exactly the same way. I want to better myself in order to be a good example for those I will someday be counseling. This is a great site and it helps exponentially.…
  • I could not tell you the source now but I do remember reading that it is ideal to eat fruit in the morning. I have done research on MFP forums to find out about the sugar in fruit. Most sources seem to agree that you can ignore the sugar count in fruit since it is not a bad sugar. Based on my current knowledge, I do not…
