  • I'm in the exact same boat. I've been slacking over the past few months and now I'm ready to get back on the eating right/exercise wagon. Feel free to add me if you like. Good luck!
  • Hey guys! I started this thread in May and I'm sure there are new TJ seasonal favs out there as well as new items that are delish. What are your favorite low cal Trader Joe's goodies? I'm going to try to hit one over the weekend.
  • Thanks! I will!
  • I didn't realize I had so many weird eating habits until I started reading what you guys posted. So here are mine - I don't like my food to touch..thanksgiving is a nightmare with all the different foods! I don't like crunchy stuff in my ice cream..no sprinkles, peanut butter cups, chocolate chips. I can not eat the…
  • I'm 5'11" and was 171 when I joined MFP in March 2011. I'm down to 151.6 so far, just with dieting mostly. Next venture is to tone up, but I just despise working out-I just joined the gym as motivation to get my butt in gear. Wish me luck! Feel free to add me!
  • I check her blog religiously! I was so excited to post what I like, when I realized that I've only made one thing from the site..I need to get to cooking! I made the Grilled Flank Steak with Tomatoes, Red Onion and Basalmic. So good and easy! I used the remaining steak for sandwiches throughout the week. I love, love LOVE…
  • Have your friends had problems with the chest strap not staying connected to the watch? I'm going to Google it and see what I can find. Thanks!
  • Thanks so much for the feedback everyone! I think I'm gonna go with the FT4 as it's cheaper (only by a couple bucks) and does just what I need. I don't need more bells and whistles to confuse me..lol!
  • I made this one year for Thanksgiving and topped with chocolate frosting - it was to die for! I've also done it in a bundt pan with no frosting and it was amazin to just heat up for a few seconds in the microwave to soften the chocolate chips. I followed the recipe to a T, except used mini chocolate chips instead of the…
  • I am heading to Trader Joe's soon, thanks for the new additions. I will post anything new that I find. I love all of the suggestions! Two of my new favs - Ginger cat cookies for people (like a ginger snap, but smaller) Mini chocolate meringues - I could eat the whole container while watching tv
  • Generally happens to me too. If I'm not hungry the day following a bad day, I don't eat the additional calories. I'm pretty much back to normal by the second day.
  • Welcome! I joined in March and love this site as well. I have the app on my phone as well, so if you have a droid (I think it works with iphone too) then definitely download it. It makes life easier if you are on the run, eating out, etc. I agree with what others said. Definitely make friends...having a good support system…
  • Definitely don't put perfume/colonge on right before you workout. For me, when doing cardio, my sense of smell becomes heightened and I've literally had to move to another machine because a guy got on the one beside me and had just put colonge on. Looks like everyone else has hit the highlights :) Have fun and good luck!
  • Welcome to MFP! This site has been life changing for me. I couldn't do it without the help (kick in the *kitten* sometimes) from my friends on here. I eat the healthiest I ever have in my life, all thanks to this site. Friend me if you like :) Good luck in your weight loss journey!
  • I am a sucker for a sexy back on a man. No need to have rock hard abs if you have the good V going on! YUM!
  • I've been doing this and didn't even know that I was doing it! I work in a restaurant and constantly order things without cheese, oil, no fries, salad instead, etc and people look at me like I'm crazy. Then I tell them that I've lost 16 lbs so far, etc., and they congratulate me and tell me I look great...wonderful…
  • I double up too..I've heard of gals using three, I think that would make me claustraphobic! Two does the trick for me.
  • Wowza! Great job! :drinker:
  • Definitely try the fat free feta from TJ's, it's great on salads, veggies, etc. I LOVE cheese, really I like pretty much every cheese :) However, I really don't eat that much any longer. I will buy parmasean from TJ's and it's great to add a bit on top of spaghetti, etc and you don't need much because it's got a pretty…
  • I agree with Brooke on skinnytaste..love that website! Also check the forum here under recipes, lot's of great ideas there. You can also search for anything you like, for example, alfredo sauce and find lower cal recipes on the forum. Welcome and good luck!

  • One of my fav low cal desserts are the pineapple angelfood cupcakes..I found the recipe on here. It's 1 box of angelfood cake mix (the kind that you just add water to) and 1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple. Mix the cake mix (no water) and the whole can of pineapple and juices, mix, put in cupcake papers and bake (follow the…

  • When I was on Weight Watchers years ago I discovered th Southwest Chicken Salad at McDonalds. With grilled chicken the salad is 320 calories with Grilled Chicken, 140 without chicken. I would get no croutons, etc and use the low fat Low Fat Balsamic Vin for 40 calories. I'm not a huge McD's fan, but I loved this salad!…
  • Guiltless mac n cheese!? I will definitely be adding it to my list for the next visit! I've gotten some great ideas from everyone here..thanks so much for all of the responses!
  • The feta cheese is amazing! I completely forgot about that. I also got some low carb whole wheat tortillas, alfredo sauce (I cut it with water, add in the 21 spice salute, garlic, onion, mushrooms and at the end put in a ton of fresh spinach and serve over spaghetti squash). I also love the fat free sesame dressing, frozen…
  • Thank you everyone! This is what I got and some of my favs...I looked for everything that you guys suggested..thank you so much! 21 seasoning salute spice mix refried black beans brussel sprouts (I love these roasted to the point where they are carmelized a bit) broccoli (again, love it roasted in the oven, my new fav…
  • I just love Trader Joe's! Thanks for the post!
  • I love ice cream too, but mine are bacon and cake...yellow pound cake with buttercream icing specifically. I could eat an entire cake I love it so!
  • I agree with your doctor's response..WOW! You are truly an inspiration and I'm glad to be an MFP friend of yours. Thank you so much for sharing your story with all of us. So proud of you! Keep up the amazing work!! :flowerforyou:
  • My workouts consist of 30DS, running and walking on the beach (great leg/butt workout!) So, I don't feel like I need to consume huge amounts of protein as I am working on building muscle, but not super hard core.
  • Thanks for the input..I knew I wasn't alone! I know that eating more fiber and protein is good, but I just hate seeing those pesky red numbers at the bottom of my diary.
