It's easy to get discouraged: I've felt the same way over the last week. I weighed less last week, but I've increased my physical activity and sometimes that can cause fluctuations on the scale. I have to keep telling myself that I will be thankful 3 months from now and try to not focus so much on seeing instant results.…

Just out of curiosity, how many calories would you have to eat per day to maintain 600 lbs?
-
lose 7 lbs and go to the gym everyday with the exception of days when I have a meeting or date.
-
I recently avoided the scale b/c I was afraid that I had gained weight. Turns out I did, but it was only 2 lbs. So now back at it trying to lose 27 lbs.
-
I would love to do 10, but gonna aim for 5. Starting weight 158.9 as of today.
-
I did quite a bit today. Gym: 1 mile on treadmill, 45 min weights/calisthenics/lunges, 2 miles elliptical. Outdoors: 35 min bike ride along the river. Probably gonna be sore tomorrow.

I feel the same way when I go off track. It's really bad for my mood too. I have to constantly remind myself of how bad I will feel if I go off plan.
-
Not a public gym. Would go for a run.

I just somewhere along the line lost my hunger-fullness cues. I just don't feel either hunger or fullness, which is a problem because I can just keep eating as it's enjoyable.
-
I would love to be able to workout in the morning on weekdays, but I just can't get up that early so I do it after work. Weekends are ok because I can go in the morning.

You have a really nice face that was hiding. I'm like you when I lose weight in that my face looks completely different. I envy those people whose faces remain thin when they gain weight!!!!

I think of my values. I value that sense of well-being that comes with eating good food and exercise. I also value and love fashion which is way more fun when you're a size 4-6 as opposed to a size 10.

I have had to change my frame of reference. I have lost weight in the past and worked out, but never did strength training and I would also come up with unrealistic goals such as go to the gym for 2 hours a day and do cardio. Inevitably I would gain all the weight back. So the first thing I've had to do is figure out what…

TY for all of the responses. So I have 4 days per week to workout. On all 4 days I want to do 5 miles of cardio. On 2 of those 4 days I can set aside one hour for strength. I can use the machines and do calisthenics, etc or should I go straight to something like Stronglifts? I want to be as effective as possible with the…

Hmm. Well I've read that if you don't get enough sleep your body craves carbs and you end up overeating. Not sure how valid that is. I do know that if I don't sleep enough it makes it much harder to get some exercise in.
-
I've been overeating for a month and am afraid to get back on the scale, but I did get back on the wagon yesterday and already feel much better.
-
I don't count calories either, but I am cognizant of the calories in certain foods. One rule I have to space out my meals and only eat at meal time, otherwise I could literally eat all day long.

I switched from diet pop to carbonated water b/c I thought that would be better for me. Turns out my body revolted against the ions in carbonated water and I broke out in a rash and developed insomnia. Now back to sweetener in drinks, got rid of the carbonated water, and I feel normal again. Weird, huh?

2 miles on treadmill, 2 miles on elliptical. I alternate going really fast with steady state.

You look so much younger. Lovely.

I want to lose 25 lbs but I'm gonna give myself until april. I'm currently 155, 5'4... I started out at 175 last november so it has been slow but I recently added some habits that are sure to speed up the process.

A good tip is to fill your weekend with activities and tasks. If you are busy you will be less likely to think about food and will not have the time either.
-
What has helped me is just filling my days up with activities. If I'm busy doing something I don't have time to even think about over-eating.

If your skin is itchy I'm gonna guess it's likely due to lack of fat in the diet. People are scared of fat, but it's essential and can do a number on you if you don't get enough of it.

Well if she smells that bad I'm sure she'd want to be told. There's smelling bad, but then there's smelling really bad. I would talk to the instructor and have him/her tell her politely. She needs to know one way or another.
-
Are you getting enough fat? Often when we reduce calories, we end up cutting out fat too. If you are low in fats you will feel like crap in a hurry.
-
People who go on diets frequently forget about the fat macro, but it's probably worse to leave out fat than it is to leave out protein.
-
One pound per week is great. How much do you have left to lose?
-
You will likely feel like hell given that you won't be consuming any fat.

I'm on Paxil, another ssri. It has done wonders for my anxiety, but I would attribute about a 10-15 lb weight gain to it. This is while keeping diet contant. I am going to talk to my doctor about an alternative because 10 lbs on my frame is a lot. So I think these drugs cause weight gain not just because of a possible…
