  • I have tats all over. I do not count how many, just the hours put into them. I <3 them and can care less what anybody else thinks of my choices.
  • this looks like a great place for motivation and encouragement.
  • I agree with Adrienne. I usually ask for a box either when ordering or as soon as the waitress/waiter brings me the plate that contains enough food for four peolple :-)
  • Why do you have to binge? If you start out with the mindset of binging this is what you will do. Limit yourself, and if you truly feel that you have no control over chips and salsa, after the initial basket that they serve is gone, when they ask if you want more say no. If you have the strength to do the Shakeology Cleanse…
  • Well, I am not really heavy, but I am pretty tall and my only complaint is that if I want athletic pants that are long enough I have to buy them in a size L. They then fall off me unless I alter them somehow. I worke/work really hard to stay in a M. but if I buy them in my size then they are really short. My complaint…
  • The cardio workouts are a little different and the strength training routines are arranged differently. You still need weights or bands and a way to either use the bands for lat pull downs or a pull up bar. Since you are a runner you should be fine with Classic X.
  • It is likely that your body is exchanging fat for muscle. I started using p90x almost 2 years ago (I have done it and other beachbody products) and I have lost a total of 8 pounds. P90X is NOT weight loss program. Last week I was discourged so I had my body compostition tested and I lost 5% body fat in 6 weeks, gained 11…
  • You slowly lose from all over. Fat leaves your body in sheets, kinda like peeling an onion. Where you carry the most fat, (where it goes first) will take the longest to leave. The owner of the gym I work at said that it is usually after the first 20 minutes of cardio that the fat burning process kicks in...
  • I couldn't agree more, the only way to get a good idea of what you are burning each time you excercise is with a heart rate moniter. I am currently doing CLX and my calories differ each time I do a workout, there are a lot of variables that cause it to be different each time.
  • I agree about just getting some free weights and excercise videos. I personally use BeachBody products, they have helped me to completely change my life...we did own a Bowflex, it was tiresome switching things around constantly in order to work different body parts. We gave it away...that thing was $2000.00 I do have a few…
  • I haven't had this done, I have been thinking about it for about 23 years...since my son was born. Now I hear that recovery ismore than a month before you can do anything. I like to workout hard, and am afraid that all that downtime would totally derail me.
  • The best way for you to find out how many calories you burn is to invest in a heart rate monitor. Each persons calorie burn is going to be different. I personally burn on average 230 or so calories from the strength workouts, sometimes more sometimes less. As for the cardio workouts, that always varies for me because it…
  • Women wearing leotards that are exactly like thongs! How painful to lunge with one of those on!! I have 2 of his workout systems, I love them. They are great for the beginner and advanced person.
  • I have tried 10 minute trainer. It is a great workout packed into a short period of time, it is designed for a person to do 3 different workouts a day either consequtively or when it can be fit in, in order to achieve maximum benefits. I have never done slim in 6, but being a member of the BB community, I have witnessed…
  • I suggest that you look into Beachbody programs, they have an extensive line of products designed to be used at home, they incorporate both cardio and strength training along with having great nutrition reccomendations. These are the products that I have used faithfully for the past two years and have achieved great…
  • Hi, I am in my first week of the second month of Insanity. I got really burned out over on the other message boards and Jess suggested that I check things out over here. My name is Licia, I recently turned 42, and when I first began doing Insanity I also gained weight almost instantly...I had been following the calorie…
  • Jess, Which Insanity thread? Licia
  • I am doing great. I am currently in the first week of the second month of Insanity, and in the process of getting my eating clean. That is why I clicked when I saw this thread. I am burned out on the other boards temporarily, and currently like the idea of checking in over here, where the topic is something that is very…
  • Glad that I decided to come over here and browse! Jess, can you please post the name of your awesome scale? I would love to have one, I have been weighing/measuring everything since I started and need a better scale. Licia
  • Check into Beachbody products.
  • I still feel like the "fat girl" even though in reality I am not...my problem is that sometimes when I look in the mirror I still don't see that I am now in the best shape I have ever been in!
  • this program is designed for a person with little time, however to get the most benefit from it you need to do three different workouts in the same day, either all at the same time or whenever you have a spare 10 minutes. Personally, I would start with P90 and move to P90X or P90 master series from P90 for the maximum…
  • When my father-in-law died from skin cancer, that was more than enough to convince me that having a sun tan is not an option. It is a miserable painful way to go....
  • I hated every minute of it! I did lose weight, but I still looked and felt fat. As soon as the 6 weeks were up I fell back into old habits and when I attempted to try it again I couldn't do it. I now do P90X, I weigh more than I did when I completed MT6BM but I am also half the size also! If you are gonna commit to a…
  • I have done P90X. I would say that for me it has not been a weight loss journey, however I have lost around 18 inches overall; maybe more. I have went from a tight size 14 to a size 6/8. The before and after pics that you see in the informercial are real. If you would like to see more success pics or get more information…

  • I do not work out in a gym. I use Beachbody products and have gone from a size 14 to a 6/8. The initial cost of some of their products is as low as $50.00 and they get as high as$120.00. The great thing is once you buy them you never have to pay for them again. I have invested about $100.00 in free weights, but that…
  • I love Tony Horton!
  • Try calling Beach Body, they may be able to help you, since they are the people that sell it.
