Just Wondering
What does everyone do on their "diet" break? I mean as in exercise wise.

Percentage or Straight Number
I've been doing a 15% cut, I have a BMF so I know what my average TDEE is. I was wondering though if that's the best way, maybe taking a 350 calorie cut is better. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Love BMF Customer Service
HeyBales has been helping out a lot with my settings in BMF, but for some reason somethings weren't working out as they should. Even when I thought they were, I took a double take and it was once again going back to my original problem. (Not giving me credit for working out.) So I emailed a customer service agent at BMF,…

HeyBales You Were Right
I don't know if you remember me, but I had a huge question about why I needed to switch my height in BMF. Well I think after a long while I finally understood what you were trying to tell me. Here is the link: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1072912-worksheet-bmf It looks like my most accurate readings were when I…

Worksheet BMF
I was wondering why I need to change my height in BMF? My average burn is 2468, this is without exercising. I am getting myself back into the swing of things. (I am a mom of 6, five are boys 12 and under) Though yesterday when I added exercise my burn was 2454, to be fair, I wasn't doing all my normal activities either. (I…

Gone Way Too Long
I've been gone so long. In fact I got so burnt out, of county calories and such that I just stopped it all. I gained back 24 pounds in six months. I am so freaking mad at myself for that. So I've been trying to get myself motivated, the desire just hasn't been there. It is here now and in full force. I just had a brief…

Low Cal Diet
I decided to log my food and realized I was eating below my BMR, can't improve my metabolism if I am eating below my BMR. I cannot sustain this for life, no way no how. Needless to say, I have decided to eat healthier foods (a positive I will take from this diet), but I am no longer going to restrict what kind of fruit,…

I tried But
No more P90X, I am too addicted to Lifting Heavy. I did P90X two years ago and loved it!!! I just can't seem to get up the excitiment I once had for it. I did it last week, and dreaded the cardio days and felt the lifting days were nothing. So I am thinking about doing Stronglifts 5X5 for women. I need to do it at home so…

Supersetting
I am nearing the end of Stage 4, and loving it. Time though is hard to come by with 6 kids. So I decided to superset my alternating exercises. I already do it for the ABS. Oh my gosh, the intensity of my workouts has gone way up and I am feeling everything a lot more. Just thought I'd share.

Subtle Changes
I debated on if I should put these up, because I only see subtle changes, but here they are. The first half of each picture is from 4/30/12 when I started NROLFW and EM2LW. The second half is from this morning. I start Stage 4 today. I was 171 on 4/30 and I am 163.5 now.

No Scale July
When I first started I tossed out the scale but for this past month I have been weighing daily. I liked seeing the fluctuations, is what I kept telling myself, but I was lying to myself. It started to effect me these last few days. So I just read in a post were someone is going to do the no scale for a month thing and…

Honest Questions for Primal
I understand that you choose to eat this way for various reasons. I get that you believe it to be a healthier alternative to what others are doing. I just don't understand why the need for supplements. I understand we all should be taking a multivitamin, but why all the other supplements? Are they to replace what is lost…

Interval Training
I need some good ideas for interval training. I do NROLFW M/W/F. I would like to add interval training on T/TH/SA. Any good suggestions?

Starting My Cut - Macros Off
Sounds crazy but I am so excited to start my cut. So instead of consuming 2300 per day (with an added 300 for BF) I will be consuming 2028 (plus the extra 300). I know I won't be starving at all. My problem is that my macros don't add up anymore. If I stay at 40/30/30 my protein will be at 152g. I am 165.5 so I need just…

Eating at TDEE and Losing
So about a month ago, with some wonderful help from a post Mike put up, I realized I was eating under my TDEE. I thought I was at the right activity level, but I was set to light instead of moderate. So I upped my calories. Since then I have lost weight, about 1.5 pounds. Does that seem right? Shouldn't I just be…

Protein Confusion
I so thought I had this one down, but no! So my daily calories are 2300, I do 40/30/30 so that puts me at 174g of protein. I thought I was doing well because I weigh about 167 so 1g per pound. Well now I keep reading that it is 1g per LBM, so that would put me at about 115g. If I do that my macros would be shot to heck. If…

There is NO Possible Way
You see I have a couple of different scales. One I use for weighing is just your basic digital scale. I started with it so I do my main weighing on that. Every so often I bring out my scale that does BF%, just to check it out.. It says I am at 25.4% body fat. My water was 54.4% and my bones 7.1. Okay so only a few weeks…

I Just Finished NROLFW Stage 1 Too
Finally finished and plan on doing the AMRAP next week. I posted this on the NROLFW group board, but it kind of got lost in the shuffle. Workout A Squats: Dumbbell =25 lbs to Barbell Squats: 105 lbs Push Ups: On kitchen counter to Floor (I did have to go on my knees for 1 set though) Dumbbell Rows: 25 lbs to 31 lbs (added…

Hoarding
I can't seem to stop hoarding my calories. I have an actual total of 2600 (300 added for BF), I still try to have a lot left over at the end of the night. So then "just in case" I can eat more. This mindset is just baffling me. This morning my breakfast consisted of 700 calories, so I put in my BF calories so it's only…

What Would You Do?
I finished Stage 1 of NROLFW yesterday and feel great. I have several options in front of me. 1. Do AMRAP next week MWF, (just do Friday as an extra AMRAP day), rest the following week, then start Stage 2. 2. Rest next week, then start Stage 2 the following week. 3. Do something similar but on the rest weeks do different…

Fitness NSV
So I am doing NROLFW, and I am on the last three workouts. Yesterday I had to do my three sets of 8. Well I had been gradually getting to the floor for my pushups, and yesterday I DID IT!!! Three sets of 8 right on the floor!!!

Need Just a Little Guidance
I can't explain how much I love the way I am getting healthy now! It's amazing and I would never go back to my old ways. However I know there is room for improvement. So here is what has happened; 1. Started truly eating more on April 30th, although I wasn't eating too much less. I was eating more on my lift days per…

Starving
I thought this phase was over! I am already over 91 over today. I haven't gorged on anything, and I am not craving bad foods. Although I did have some if my homemade caramel popcorn today. The one change today, little man has been nursing up a storm. Growth spurt I believe! I'm thinking if not eating, but not sure if I can…

Flatulence
Am I the only one getting gassy due to upping my protein! I swear it's a good thing I carry around the baby, that way people don't always know it's me.However my family just yell, "Mom!" My husband just rolls down the window or makes sure the blankets don't get lifted up. I swear it wasn't this bad when I increased m fiber.

Macros
So let's say we put in our breastfeeding in as negative calories, wouldn't that mess up our macros? I do 40/30/30. If I am actually eating 300 more calories than is recorded wouldn't they be off? I am thinking of just putting my intake up 300 and not worry about logging breastfeeding.

Which Calorie Estimate Should I Go By

Venture a Guess?
Why do you think the writer of NROLFW has anyone over 35 with A BMI greater than 27 use 1.2 (sedentary level ) for non lift days and only a 1.4 (light workout) for lift days? I thought BMI wouldn't be a factor.

Knee Gave Out
So I am doing dumbbell squats and I think I am not going down far enough. So I decide to go down a little further and my knee gives out, it doesn't hurt, just gives out. I think nothing of it. Now when my workout is over my quad is sore. I think maybe I pulled my quad. Help?
