Simple, cheap, easy healthy recipes ideas?
Hi gang, I'm a recent graduate and I've just come back to family home. I'm working really hard to lose weight but I've found I'm actually putting it on because all the food in my parents home is either cheese, white bread, chocolate or cake. There are a few salady bits but otherwise it's all sugar and fat. I really need…

Get stronger and lose fat at the same time?
I hope this isn't a silly question, but is it possible to lose fat and get stronger in the same time period? If I'm eating a calorie deficit will this mean that strength training won't be effective? I'm unsure of whether I should try and do both at the same time to get into shape or whether it's better to lose fat, then…

Any suggestions for easing sciatic nerve pain?
I have booked a doctor's appointment, but have to wait a week... so in the meantime: I often get a horrible pain down the back of my leg, starting from my lower back/bum cheek haha. It's stopping me sleeping, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to ease the pain? I've taken painkillers with little effect.…

Protruding bones
I was chatting with my boyfriend the other day, and he was enthusing about how much he liked girls hip bones when they stick out... (Clearly not mine, I'm a bit soft around the edges haha) I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. I've got a bit of a skewed body image, and was just wondering what other people's thoughts…

Pulling an all nighter - energy/STAY AWAKE foods?
I've left everything to the last minute and I'm staying up all night/tomorrow to finish a paper. The deadline's at midnight tomorrow, bleurgh. How do I survive? I'm trying to avoid coffee as I never drink it and I know I'll crush in the most horrible way after couple of hours! :)

Alcohol alternatives that aren't fizzy drinks?
I'm a student. Naturally, a lot of socialising is based around having a drink. I'm never sure of what to order though! Sometimes I don't want to waste calories on a pint, and I'm not massively keen on ordering diet coke as I know that's not a great option either... Any suggestions would be super lovely :) What do you drink?

Should I take a "rest day" from cheerleading?
At the moment I'm training for a cheerleading competition, pretty much every day. I'm a 'back spot', which means that when we're lifting the flyers, I'm at the back and driving their weight upwards. The girls that we lift are about 100-130lbs, and it's HARD WORK but I'm not sure whether it counts as something that deserves…

Recipes for the pickiest vegetarian ever?
My boyfriend's coming home from Christmas away and I, feeling lovely, said I'd cook him dinner for his first night back. The only thing is, I've NO IDEA what to cook! Heart rate monitors?
I'd really like to get a more accurate idea of how many calories I'm burning, as I know that the ones on the MPF are probably a little higher than what I'm actually burning. The main activity I'd wear it for is cheerleading, as this doesn't even appear on the database, and it's a mixture of gymnastics, lifting/throwing…

How to prevent always going over my sugar goals!
I'm finding myself going over my sugar allowance - what kind of substitutes can I make? I have an undeniable sweet tooth... but I never add sugar to anything, and I rarely drink anything but water (apart from today when I had a naughty breakfast of nutella on toast and orange juice!) How do you keep your sugar intake down?

Falling off the wagon... Help me get back up? :)
In my first month of "healthy living" I lost 10lbs. I know a lot of it was probably water weight, but I was ecstatic, and everything was going really well.
