It’s time for discipline and consistency!!
This will be my 3rd time going through a whole body transformation. Although for 10 years i’ve been off and on with the gym and eating very clean, i have pcos, insulin resistance and if I fall off and don’t go to the gym for weeks at a time or start eating inflammatory foods and overeat, i gain weight very fast and it…

Unsure exactly how much to eat to meet goals
Hello, if I have the data currently set to about 2800 calories a day with a goal of losing 0.5 calories a week, am I supposed to eat exactly to 2800? Or go below? How much below? I'm just realizing now that losing weight probably means going under calorie figures and I need help knowing how to adjust.

Copy a recipe instead of creating from scratch
I heavily use the create a recipe feature and have a ton of my recipes saved. I sometimes have a few different variations for my recipe - e.g., I’ll make the same chili recipe but decide to occasionally use turkey instead of beef. In these cases, I have to edit the recipe to fit my meal. With my chili recipe as an example,…

I don't know what I am doing wrong
I started my weight loss journey October 5. I am following what my dietician and weight loss doctor's "orders". I have dropped my calories down to 1200 and log everything. I exercise every day. At first, I was losing 1 or 2 pounds a week. I had actually dropped 20 pounds then about a week or week and a half ago I get on…

I'm back after a long absence / 60+ lbs to lose
I first joined this site way back in 2011. Back then, I lost over 40 lbs and was pretty happy with my weight, even though I still was technically overweight per BMI. I've been through some heavy duty life stuff. The weight went up and down over the last decade plus, but never in such a drastic way that it freaked me out.…

Is there a way to create reports tracking specific foods vs micro/macronutrients?
I'd like to set goals and track specific food like red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, veg, protein, fats, vegetables, & fruits. I haven't figured out if/how this can be done. I would appreciate any tip/info. Thanks

Can’t believe how low calorie this was! Set me off right
I tried a mix of the baked oatmeal fad and this girl’s trick for losing 60kg. Her “trick” is to sneak in veggies and certain fruits to meals because they have low calorie high density (and of course, high nutrition). I modified hers a bit (she used zucchini but I didn’t have that on hand), I threw shredded carrots and…

Can someone help me please?
I'm looking for a way to view all of my entries without having to go back and forth on the computer. I want to print my diary and be able to have it on actual paper to compare. Could someone kindly help me figure out how to print? I appreciate all of your help! Thank you!

I updated the app recently to the latest version and also had an OS update to Android 14 on my phone, now when I search for foods I've recently eaten they are not coming up? Night Shift
Hey guys! I need some advice as a night shift nurse. I know many of y’all work the graveyard shift and I work from 7pm-7am. And I get hungry at midnight and after usually. How can I keep the calories low so it doesn’t add up too much as I go home and have my regular 3 meals? Do they count for the previous day? Does anyone…

Accountability
Do you notice that when we keep each other accountable, it helps achieve goals? I read somewhere that people who hold each other accountable are 65% more successful in reaching their goals? Is anyone interested in starting a group in which we message each other daily or just post daily as to how we are doing and make sure…

A guide to get you started on your path to Sexypants.
I generally think that people put emphasis on things that either don't matter at all or only matter a small amount while ignoring the things that matter a great deal. Overview of what I think is important: * Eat the appropriate caloric (and macronutrient) intake for your goals and track intake accurately. I think eating…

I can’t believe it works!
So I’ve been consistently logging for over a week now, and I can’t believe it works! I’m down 6lbs so far. I’ve tried a lot of restrictive dieting in the past, for example extended juice fasts to lose weight since nothing else seemed to work. It’s nice to know that I can still enjoy the foods I like and lose weight as long…

Unable to save my homemade recipes
For over a couple of weeks now (pretty much since the last update), I have not been able to save my personal recipes. MFP allows me to input all of the ingredients, recognizes all of the ingredients, but when I go to save and log it, I get this error message: "Unable to Continue. The operation couldn't be completed.…

My goals and me
What's up everyone, my name is Dylan, but my friends call me Hoss. I'm new to the tracking game, but a veteran in the workout game. Meaning I'm just starting to learn about calories and surpluses and deficits, but as far as throwing around some iron, I'm pretty knowledgeable. I've been at the weight lifting game for 5-6…

Add salt as an option in nutrition info or salt to sodium converter
Hi all. I saw an old post discussing adding salt to the nutrition info, from a few years ago. It wasn't in the feature forum, and I couldn't find another recent post discussing the matter. In the UK, most things are labelled with salt content, not sodium. I've found that this leads to a lot of incorrect entries for food,…

Anyone else with calorie goal of 1200-1300? Short people club lol
Hi, I'm Karlie. Are you a short person too? I am 31, 4'11 and currently 167lbs. To achieve my healthy weight I need to drop at least 50lbs. Given my sedentary nature, height, and goal - my calorie intake goal is set to 1230 calories a day. I used to have friends who were always under their goals (yay for them!) but when I…
