That puts me at the following:
    2.12: twenty five min- flat
2.15: thirty min (best guess)- hill
    2.20 thirty min - intervals/hills
    2.22: 2+ hours - snow shoveling.

    it's like running.

But not. Either way- Cardio 2x a week is achieved for this week.

Good to see one of smarter forum regulars around these parts :)

Ah- so sorry- I have in a reading black hole- no reading this week (Artist Way task)
Thank you :) trying to drop some extra BF- and I can't do any less food- so cardio it is!!! Kind of nice actually doing some running.

    2.20 thirty min - intervals/hills

    2.25 30 min(ish) 3 total- 2 up/down 1 interval sprints (treadmill)
    2.28. 45 min- 5.22 miles

15.75 for running- and I'll round it out to 16 for 1/4 mile in the snow- seems reasonable for 2+ hours snow shoveling.

16 miles for the month it looks like. I'll take that.

from today 20* but sunny out!!!

    Thanks! Will do it!

@fabnine - lol, that's true about they leave you for dead. My husband is the one who got me into this biking so he has to look out for me and make sure I'm not too far behind. The trick seems to be staying very close to the rider in front of you to get their draft but I seem to have trust issues. Don't trust the guy in front of me on the bike and don't trust myself.

    Aw thank you.

I'm very fortunate I grew up running- so it's easy to hit stride and it's simple a mind issue and I have that down- just have to get my body up to par.

I do find it DEEPLY fascinating I'm able to run significantly faster- OR my GPS is really wrong/off) outside. When I'm treadmilling it- I seem to only manage 10 min miles.

I was thinking (listening to the GPS tick of miles/splits- I'd be happy to get down to 905/910- and I think my last mile was 8:55- so yeah- I was even kind of surprised- because when I turned around I had the wind into my face- which I didn't realize was at my back till I turned around and practically had the wind knocked out of my by the coldness of the air!!!

But honestly- it was fun- I always LIKE running- it's a matter of time- and that it takes so much- but I really like the feeling of being done with running- and I've needed the sunshine- and the air- I spend SO much time inside- and I just think it clears my head a way the gym never can. I love lifting- but in the winter I think I need the clean air and the miles.

I'm going to die laughing it I become a "winter only" runner!!!

@fabnine: I love the "Purple Cactus Plower" of your New Balance 1010's. I've never had any New Balance shoes, maybe I should look out for them the next time I need new running shoes. :)

    @shanaber: Congratulations on your most-ever-running-month!

@davis_em : First time more than 10 miles, that's awesome, you rock!

THis month was a disappointment. But compared to last February this is a 100% increase in milage :)
Awesome perspective! I was feeling bad over not meeting my goal this month. Your post just made me look back at last year: there I just slowly started to run again, after a 5 month injury-break (which was preceded by two month of running after a 6 month layzness-break...). February 2014 I logged ~7km in total. That means this month I ran ten times as far, I guess that's also something ;-)

Great job to everyone here who did their best to reach their goals, see you in the March thread!

    1.2.2015 - 9.0 km
    4.2.2015 - 3.8 km

What an awesome group of runners we have! Great job to everyone who met their goals and everyone who attempted to get out there and get it done. February was a rough month for injuries, illness and weather, but everyone rocked it! Looking forward to seeing how everyone does in March.

Skip and I went to Fleet Feet today, I had a coupon that was going to expire and a $120 gift card from my awesome boss. No matter what else I put on my feet I always come back to my Brooks Glycerin 12 love them. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow.

@LoneWolfRunner‌ maybe March will be better. I think you had an admirable month with those low temps. Your runs have given me the desire to challenge myself in colder temps.

Great running everyone! B) See you in the March Challenge!

@skippygirlsmom I love your new Brooks Glycerin 12s. If I find the shoe that works for me no matter the distance or terrain I'll be a loyal consumer with a pair in each color, you're smart to stick with what you know works for you.

@LoneWolfRunner You had so much working against you and you still ran 112 miles this month and 144 miles last month in some extremely cold, no downright brutal conditions. That's 256 awe inspiring miles. In the middle of all you had going on you found time to encourage me to get out there and run. Wolf, I ran ZERO miles December through February of 2014. I give credit where credit is due and I wouldn't have continued to run through this winter without your wisdom, encouragement & support. Let's start fresh in March- We got this!

Run went pretty well tonight with no residual knee soreness, but I took it about a minute and half/mile slower than planned. Gonna give the 17 miler a shot tomorrow. Came up 24 miles short for the month given my skipped runs to let my knee recover. On the bright side, my training plan has 180 miles on the calendar for March.

    2/1 - 2 miles
    2/3 - 4 miles
    2/4 - 7 miles
    2/5 - 4 miles
    2/7 - 7 miles
    2/8 - 14 miles
    2/10 - 4 miles
    2/11 - 7 miles
    2/13 - 4 miles
    2/14 - 7 miles
    2/15 - 10.25 miles
    2/18 - 5 miles
    2/22 - 13.1 miles (1:47:35 / 8:12 pace)
    2/28 - 8 miles

    Total: 96 miles
    Goal: 120 miles
    Short: 24 miles

@LoneWolfRunner‌ - when you look at the running conditions and that you didn't run on the treadmill until it was -33 outside! WOW - I would say that is a winning month regardless of your goal! Nothing sucky about that at all!!
@Training2BeFast‌ - nice job exceeding your goal!
@skippygirlsmom‌ - congrats on your new kicks! I need a new zero drop pair so I am on the hunt. Not such a fan of the Merrill Bare Access - tried them on and didn't like the high arch support. I just need to figure out what else is out there! Maybe Brooks is an option!
@tdbernrd‌ - let's see that hustle :) Great job this month!
    @bsalrye‌ - Congratulations!!
    @davis_em‌ - Yay!! Love that Woot! Boogie-woogie-woogie!!!
@ShortMrsN‌ - You've got this!! we are all here for you and you will come back off that injury and get your running mojo back!!
@fabnine - you are awesome! I knew you would make that goal!!
Great job everyone - working so hard this month in some terrible conditions!! On to March!!

I bought the brooks adrenaline 15 (seem tight around the mid foot after a few miles) to replace my brooks ravena <3. Im going to geting a pair of the ghost or glycerin since I'm not sold on the adrenaline. So I can't wait to see your March miles and hear how much you love the shoe!
