Loss/gain for the month so far:

Struggles or successes of your week: everything went well till the weekend. My downfall...have decided not to drink beers due to the calories. However my lovely friends came on saturday night with them. So much for my will power. Dissappointed with my self as kept to the exercise and eating plan all week. Then mess it up at the end. This week my goal is to try and stay focused.

Thanks StefChrysler! I need a cheerleader when I'm too critical and a critic when I'm too cheerful - this is weight loss is not temporary!

Struggles or successes of your week: At the start of the month I binged on 6,000 calories (creamy garlic spinach chicken pizza and cream cheese cookie bars, yikes). Staying within 1,600 calories for each of the following days was tough because I felt very, very hungry after stretching my stomach out like that. I had to really focus on having healthy snacks every 3-4 hours to stop myself from feeling sick. It went fine and now I'm feeling better.

Struggles or successes of your week: Just started weight training this week. Last exercise in the routine is sit-ups. With bent knees and hands up around my head, I couldn't do a single sit-up! Uuuuugggghhhhhh. - how pitiful. Here's hoping for newbie gains soon. Dieting went well, but didn't get the expected weight loss - perhaps it's water retention from the new level of exercise - we'll see over the next few weeks.

Struggles or successes of your week: It may seem like I lost a lot of weight this past week, but only because I got badly ill on top of a very heavy work schedule (I work in a tax office and it's tax season). I've been up at work 9am-10pm everyday. It's hard to get food in when you only get 30 minutes free in a 13 hour shift and you have to be standing the whole time.

Also, I'm working very hard at not b-slapping each and every one of my coworkers, not taking the fax machine out back and beating it with a baseball bat, and I'm very tired.

I imagine I'll have an upswing in weight this coming week.

Struggles or successes of your week:
Success: Continued to run 5ks. I completed over 10 miles of running this week. And completed in personal record time on each run :). I was even able to do cross training on the opposite days and burn a lot of calories on the elliptical.

Struggle: Social binge eating. Between super bowl parties, a wine night with my friends, I've had a hard time saying no to over indulgence. The rationalization of "well it's a special occasion".

hi to all in the group, am joining late... had a great holiday in Thailand where rediscovered that i do exercise if it's fun and outdoors and with family, ate loads and didn't gain any weight. Motivated to get to my goal set when i was 50 to lose 50 pounds...
Anyway, don't have scales at home so start weight has to be the last one I did which was 196 pounds on a machine in a supermarket in Jan
    Height 5' 6"
    Starting weight 196 pounds
    Goal weight 189 pounds

Struggles or successes of the week: Binging on candy and treats during the superbowl. Worked out six days this week rather than 4 to help compensate for all those extra calories. Meal planning was much more successful, and I was able to study, get through midterms without hurting my diet too much.

Struggles or successes of your week: I definitely enjoyed my events on Friday! I kept the alcohol to less than planned and traded it out for a few snacks. I'm pretty pleased that I have been planning ahead (banking calories during the week) so I can enjoy some less-healthy foods and still feel good about my decisions.

Struggles or successes of your week: I can usually avoid sweets as the force is strong in me but last night the dark side crept in and I gluttonously ate 5 quarter sized chocolate chip cookies. I was under my cal target so cal wise it didn't matter but they totally pushed me over on fat and sugar. Wah woh. Oh well today is a new day.

That in itself is a success, I couldn't get past the first week of Insanity. You already seem to possess determination and consistency you'll complete it!

Struggles or successes of your week: I guess you can say I turned my struggle into my success. I made a hamburger w/ grilled onions and fries for dinner for my husband for dinner last night--- it smelled so good. Ended up making myself a cheeseburger w/ grilled onions (no fries for me). I knew I'd be over on calories if I ate it, which I did so in response I had to work out to get myself under my daily calorie intake. In order to get under my daily calories for the day, I had to walk on the treadmill for 45 minutes. I'm holding myself accountable for what I eat. If I eat it, I better earn it or be prepared to work it off.
